I get being skeptical, I really do. I honestly still kind of am. But when one of the world’s leading primatologists says that the existence of Bigfoot (or something similar) is not just likely, but certain, how can there still be people who outright deny it?

What was that clip they showed of the sasquatch when she first started talking about it? I have never seen that video before and it looked pretty legit. But, the clips they showed for the ufo and loch ness monster were obviously not real so maybe the bigfoot was b.s. too.

Look folks, it all boils down to this:

To prove the existence of Sasquatch, you need scientific evidence. Scientific evidence is repeatable evidence!

Video evidence might meet that criteria if was clear, high resolution, and taken on multiple occasions in a given area, and made by a videographer with unimpeachable credentials, like Jane Goodall.

Footprint evidence you say, dermal ridges you say? As a whole, somewhat compelling, but no single tracks are repeatable enough to meet the criteria. Lots of noise in the data as well because of hoaxers.

I climbed into the hills this was where I was meant to be I want to talk to you about something that some would say is fictional but you would say hold up we don't know for certain and that's Bigfoot yeah every foot he talks to me about I I would I'm romantic I would like Bigfoot to exist I've met people who swear they've seen Bigfoot and I think the interesting thing is every single continent there is an equivalent of Bigfoot or Sasquatch there's the Yeti the CRE in Australia there's the Chinese wild man and an on and on and on and you know I've had stories from people who you have to believe them so there's something I don't know what it is I've always open-minded what about other mythological creatures like the or supposedly mythological eyes I guess I should say like the Loch Ness monster well kiss monster obviously doesn't exist alien beings do you think we're alone in this universe I don't I think that it doesn't make sense to think we're the only intelligent form of life this wall that was built between us weird were just the only really intelligent capable of this that and the other difference in kind between us and the other animals that wall is broken down and the chimps help to break it down do you think there is a possibility that will people start to actually regard chimpanzees with give them more agency and more personhood that's actually happening in fact there's a something going on right now where two chimpanzees in Angola are being brought into DRC to a sanctuary and know in the Congo Congo Brazzaville and this talk of them getting passports and there would be a first and that would really make a statement people say we can't give human rights to chimps you of course you can't and it's not something I push because we've signed Bill of Rights human rights and everywhere around the world every day that is violated you know so people are fighting for chimps to get certain rights like right from right for feet freedom from torture which was certainly helpful in the chimps coming out of medical research I read a something you said about you were talking about how sues can do a lot of damage to wildlife and one that stood out to me it was a mainstay of many zoos which is the elephant why did that animal come to mind when you were naming animals that should never be in zoos because they don't take into account the fact that elephants are highly social they have bonds between family members that can last a lifetime of up to 60 years and they grieve the death and they have these amazing memories and highly intelligent and so often elephants are being kept in you know shackled they get terrible bone diseases from standing on concrete and you know okay it's getting better but it's they shouldn't be in zoos they just shouldn't no whales and dolphins we have idle thoughts or daydreams and you're not maybe thinking about anything in particular do chimpanzees come up in your mind just as much as any person you've met through the chimpanzees have that equal footing or not no no really chimps are so like us that there's some chimps that you really really like and some that you really dislike justice there are people I mean they're just so like us whereas other animals they're less like us but you don't have the same tendency to say I really dislike that one you
