the history of washington d.c is that of a majority black city that for decades functioned as an agency of the federal government a federal government that imposed segregation and denied proper resources to most of its residents with no accountability a city where today our seven hundred thousand residents pay more federal taxes per capita than any other state the black lives matter protests have a whole other resonance here not only because this is the capital of the most powerful nation in the world but because the disenfranchisement of its residents is deliberate he was coming from class walking to his car when they approached four of them the witnesses said that he put up a fight my son was a fighter they threw him into the trunk of his own car drove to a secluded spot near the falls it was difficult for the pathologist to correctly assess but the consensus was he died from a gunshot to the temple so my solace my only comfort is in knowing that my son didn't feel anything when they proceeded to dismember him decapitate him and then throw his pieces into the water now we had a deal a plan i work and you stay home and take care of the baby in this house if you're gonna be here you can take care of the baby i can't take care of a baby look for work now we'll stick to the plan and that's fine
