hey jacob hi how are you so nice to meet you you too it's uh it's a huge hit and uh congratulations uh you're sitting here but i understand you were actually in the audience a few years ago yeah yeah i was i was here i didn't even know what year it was it feels like a lifetime ago but i was i think i was sitting like up like one two three or four rows back there um and yeah you know is that me that's you i was stuck so you're standing out in the crowd because you're very tall how tall are you i'm six foot five six five so you were so you were just in in town were you living here at that time yeah i came i came actually with my co-star joey king she bought me she bought me here uh i think for her grandma's birthday that's hilarious yeah and both of y'all now are so successful it's crazy it's so so crazy that's very cool very surreal to be here yeah well i'm happy to have you here and uh my wife is from australia you're what part are you from i'm from brisbane queensland brisbane mm-hmm wow that's beautiful home raised it's so nice it's more kind of like uh suburban yes yeah yeah i lived about like 45 minutes from the beach um but i think living in australia you're always tied to the that's not bad that is that's the the first house i've i've ever bought and it's just outside of byron bay in australia that's your house now this is my house now so you grew up there most people are just lucky enough to get out of there alive because anything that can kill you lives there and and we we all know that yes as andy said in the meeting this morning why put yourself through that why live someplace where everything can kill you but it's beautiful right it's so beautiful the payoff is great you know you could die it's the good with the bad um but i didn't notice living there like when i grew up there you're like you've got scraped knees and you're tough as guts and then i came to america for four years and i just went back recently and i like would walk through a spider web and i was like i was like and i kind of realized for the first time i was like that is a lot of snakes like yeah they're not kidding there's a lot of snakes no but but i mean there's a funnel funnel spider funnel web spider yeah when i was just home i um was pulling up my garage door and this funnel web spider yeah it's tiny but so we googled it and it's like if it bites you i'm gonna get this wrong but in like 30 minutes your muscles shut down and you start to foam at the mouth and then you die um and so this is my picture i took that from that from that little thing it's it's and and for what it doesn't eat you no no just kills you for no reason no reason yeah it's a murderer damn spider um let's talk about euphoria so uh you uh you your character without giving anything away is is nicer this season yeah for sure 100 or or or is he no he's definitely nicer 100 is he or is he conning everybody no no he's just like a sweet lovable relatable giant 18 year old psychopath and you're naked a lot how does that feel is that something when they when they write the you into the script do they say hey how do you feel about being naked or you just all of a sudden are surprised like oh i have to be naked you kind of you you have no choice right no it's like every scene is like he sleeps with this person he does this with this person naked but it gets to the point i've done some movies where it gets to the point where it's like he goes to the mall shirtless and you're like why what would you possibly like well because look at you that's why yeah um but but i just was wondering because you know for for women i mean i think they probably would ask a woman like do you mind being naked you know on camera whatever but i'm just wondering if they they ask you or if you just are surprised that you when you open the script and and also like you said you're comfortable now because you've done it enough that you you aren't uncomfortable being naked well i think on euphoria it comes with the territory of the character so i'm kind of you know he's just ultra masculine macho jock so those guys i think tend to get around pretty shirtless so it's it's sort of okay and we have an intimacy coordinator her name's mam and she's like she's a second mother she's like are you are you comfortable are you okay to the point where you're like yeah i'm fine and the crew has been the same from the first season through the second season so it's kind of it's like getting naked in front of your family yeah which also is weird which is weird it's always just to let you know in this country that's weird i don't know what australia is weird um listen uh i would say come back and see us but we're not around too much longer but i love meeting you i just i'm a fan and i the show is fantastic congratulations thank you and i'm glad that you came from there to here me too so congratulations on all the success you can stream both seasons of euphoria on hbo max now we'll be right back [Music] you
