and there's nothing I'm do or saying today that I am not accountable for obviously I'm also accountable to the pastor bishop of this church and but I felt the need to have specifically those men that I'm accountable to on an everyday basis present with me I love them have great confidence in them and there's a group of seven and they know that they can tell me anything and I will do it if you don't have that in your life I deeply feel sorry for you you must be very frustrated and very fearful if you don't have anybody in your life that can look you in the eyeballs and say that's not going to be like that no that's changing you're not doing that you will do this praise God you have just experienced a significant apostolic demonstration there was absolutely nothing Pentecostal about that thank you you can be seated there was nothing Pentecostal about that praise God now the scripture says that true worship is in spirit and in truth that was the spirit part and it is my responsibility today to do the truth part and I love that part if you know me at all you know I love that part but I love this part too praise God I have a problem a problem that puts me at odds with so much of my brethren the Bible is the final authority in my life and the way we've always done it has no interest to me at all I want to do what the Bible says the way the Bible says it and I don't want to do anything I can't find in the Bible the tragedy of what just took place here today is that this happened in a church building instead of out there where the world could have experienced it hallelujah sister let's start with those first two texts and we'll see if we get to any of the others Matthew 28:16 then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them and when they saw him they worshiped him but some doubted and Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost and you may not believe it but there's another verse after that and this next verse is more important than that verse because it tells you what we're supposed to be teaching it's not enough to just go teach but what are you teaching teaching them he's speaking to the eleven now teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with You alway even unto the end of the world amen and then Acts chapter two beginning with verse forty and with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untoward generation then they that gladly received his word were baptized and the same day there were added unto them about 3,000 souls and they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and holiness and that made them apostolic surely that's what that verse says because that's what we preach and believe that's all it says and just because you had baptized in Jesus name and pray people through the Holy Ghost and preach holiness doesn't make you apostolic [Applause] oh that may be our custom and that may be our tradition and that may be the way we define it but I think by the time we're through today you'll see the Bible doesn't define it like that and they continued steadfastly they just they didn't just do it it was a major focus in their life they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship this is condo Chia which is the word that's also translated communion it comes from a Greek word that means to participate in to jointly share together it speaks of a depth of communion where I'm responsible for you and you're responsible for me and we're going to we're going to be accountable for each other not just the preacher breaking of bread is not communion that was the word the previous word which translated communion but it wasn't translated Communion and fellowship because the translators felt like the word they're meant far beyond just experiencing grape juice and cracker oh and here it is and in prayers and can I say to you apostolic prayers is there a difference yeah there's no difference between daylight and dark is there I say this simply because some of you don't know me and that's fine but I need to make this very clear my mother took me to a United panic so Church the first Sunday of my life I've never been a part of anything but the United Pentecostal church I'm a district superintendent not that that means anything except that I'm committed to the fellowship I love my brethren and I love the Brotherhood but I love the Bible more than how we do things I'm just gonna say that I wasn't going to say this now but I'm saying it now okay there are so many of you precious ones and don't forget something please I was 24 my wife was 19 when we drove into the city of Annapolis Maryland I've never pastored I had no experience doing that the only two things I knew how to do I didn't really know how to preach what I knew how to do was I knew how to win souls and I knew how to pray people through the Holy Ghost and we built the church not because I could preach but because we could win souls and we could pray people through to the Holy Ghost oh and the other thing we knew how to do was we knew how to pray in the spirit I didn't even know I knew how to pray in the spirit I just that's what happened just right in fact it took many years before I knew discovered I didn't even know how to pray in English and the only thing that really call enabled God to do the stuff he's done in that in Annapolis not Indianapolis in Annapolis is because I knew how to pray in the spirit because I have an infirmity you may not have this when Bible says I do I don't know what to pray for as I ought so the spirit itself helps my infirmities because he makes intercession for me according to the will of God praise God praise God and so I knew how to win souls I knew how to pray people through the Holy Ghost I'd been praying people through the Holy Ghost from their Sunday after I received the Holy Ghost at age 12 and I knew how to pray in the spirit I had no idea how significant those things were they're everything I don't care for you're a general conference preacher you can't build a church or general conference preach it oh praise God hallelujah but there are some of you sitting here today too many of you who are absolutely weary you came to this meeting exhausted mentally emotionally physically spiritually and I believe the Lord is going to help you today understand why you're in that condition because you've spent so much of your life trying to make stuff work that's the only thing you need to do and I'm not faulting anybody because there's a timing factor in everything in God and I can't do what I don't know to do so I've got to do what I do know to do until God shows me more to do or a different way to do things and I want to make it real clear right now I'm not talking about doctrine there's nobody in this room believes acts 2:38 any stronger than I do and I have light and I'm gonna preach all the light I have and if God does anything different that that's his business but I'm not making excuses for anybody that doesn't want all the light [Applause] he that hath ears to hear it can interpret that it wasn't said casually I believe in acts 2:38 I believe in biblical holiness I don't believe in doctrines that were your convictions that God gave you that you've made into doctors for everybody else but I do believe in biblical holiness right I'm believing it with everything in me without holiness no makes you see the Lord but let me tell you something folks that that's not going to get the job done in your city I've said it before I'll say it again tomorrow the church is who we are it's not what we do the kingdom of God is what we do the church is who we are the kingdom of God is what we do we don't do Church Church is not a verb our tradition has perverted the word whoo-hoo I got ahead of myself here so that's I'm trying to go very deliberately I've said this before you don't want somebody doing heart surgery in a hurry what does it mean to be apostolic the title of this is and she had put it up there yet you can now it is time to be a post-op apostolic biblically not traditionally biblically all apostolic our oneness pentecostals but not all oneness pentecostals our apostolic whoo now I wouldn't be standing here today if I'd have made that statement about 30 years ago somebody would have found a reason to have eliminated me of course I did say it then I just didn't say it quite as bluntly why is this important why is it important why is it important because it's more than doctrine it's more than holy living actually it's more than just the gifts of the Spirit what is not apostolic when my efforts our church building church service focused I am NOT apostolic I am trying to make the traditional religious model work and it's exhausting why because God only helps you enough to keep you going he's not going to help you make something work that's not his plan I was sitting here last night and the Holy Ghost spoke to me he said these folks believe in revival and harvest but I got a question for you how much revival will it take to blow your whole methodology to kingdom come because you have such a revival it just makes everything you do in opera ball yeah hey it's beautiful building you can handle probably 50 a month easy not it really won't stress you but what if a thousand people got the Holy Ghost this weekend can you tell me that everything you do now you can continue to do you see our methodology is the limitation on what God's trying to do the Lord sent me to youth Congress you can take that however you want I know he did and I'm glad I went you know why because I got to experience the absolute outer limit of what church service mentality can do what a difficult time it was getting in that building getting out of that building moving around 34,000 people awesome move of God awesome if you've heard differently in that it's a lie you had to look around specifically to find somebody that wasn't moving in the Holy Ghost it wasn't that like our typical services where 10 or 20 percent is participating everybody else is sitting watching like a few did a wild we go [Applause] no people are on their feet people were praying people especially kids hung around for 45 minutes an hour after church praying seeking God nobody pushing them to do that nobody forcing them to do that that's as far as church can go I can't do it search like that in Annapolis you came to church like that in your city you can't do it show me this plan show me how we do things in the book show me one not just one verse please just one verse I believe with all my heart it's by the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established but let's just this for right now let's just ignore that for a minute show me one verse who are inviting someone to a church service is equal to witnessing show me I'd like to see it just one verse I've looked I've looked at look I can't find it show me one verse who are inviting somebody to church service is equal to witnessing I haven't been able to find it again but a couple of weeks ago a couple of months ago I read a survey that some group had done and they asked the question to a large number of Americans and they said would you be interested if there's a God would you be interested in knowing more about him 80% of those that respond to that survey said yes second question they asked was are you interested in going to church 80% said no so we're convinced they don't want what we've got you're right they want God they want God they don't want this other stuff we've got so what about that 60% of Americans that said that they would be interested in knowing more about God they just don't want to go to church hang on you think I'm just about in my opinions I'm setting you up because when we get into the word there won't be any of that traditional spirit rises up back there and said oh like what do you say I didn't like it when I saw it either 1970 September of 70 again I was 24 my wife was 19 the only thing we knew to do to build a church was have church this is the truth before God when we started services we started four services a week Thursday night Saturday night Sunday morning Sunday night we did that for over 12 years because it was the only way we were taught to build a church so I wasn't willing to have one church service of a week and take the chance on somebody that's that's they couldn't come because of something going on so I always had another option that's pretty tough when it's just you and your wife I mean stuff when you get home how do you say you wouldn't preaching to her [Applause] our marriage was greatly benefited when those one or two people started coming I had plausible deniability that was gut-wrenching it was hard it was more discouraging than it was encouraging we've been running about 3035 and had a breakthrough and and people got saved and we were running over 50 lost three key families when we broke 50 you know why because they said the church has gotten too big I lie not that's the absolute truth for God because when there was 25 they got all of my wife and my attention but when those new babies came we thought they'd understand that they we needed to give tension to the babies all know now that they weren't getting the attention I remember the day that I had to say to brother Libby Libby we need to stop calling each other Ron and Chester you're gonna have to be brother Libby and I'm gonna have to be brother right because if we don't these folks are all gonna be calling us by our first names they're not gonna respect us Oh Lord just in case you think this came up today I'll just read a little bit this was my Facebook post on my personal page and my apostolic iron Facebook page on February the second last year when did filling up a church calendar where the religious activities become more important to us in our churches than winning the lost how did we get so far from the purity of our purpose when did i when did being faithful to our religion become more important to us than following Jesus into his harvest field in Matthew 9:36 2:38 Jesus made it very clear that this is his number one prayer for us and it's number one purpose for us here on earth the world is the field this is the barn this is not the field one miracle on the street is worth a hundred inside of a church building one miracle on the street is worth a hundred inside a church building but why do we do it like this because this is our safe space I'm doing everything I can to not do that this is our safe space so we can be and do whatever we want to here and then we go out there and we act like them as much as we can so we fit in as much as we can out there so that we don't get persecuted [Music] now if this was just a conference of preachers that'd be one thing let me taste something III appreciate this man of God in this church who sponsors those of you that needed sponsorship to come thank you thank you for coming you didn't do all this because of the free meals of the free trip 20 years ago people might have come wondering what goes on at that conference but has enough word out there and videos to watch that's not really a whole lot of doubt about what goes on here and if you don't want that you don't come even if the trip is free so I've got to conclude that you're hungry it's you're desperate I have to believe that then it's not good enough just to do the same old same old and get the same old same old and wondering why am i failing maybe you're not failing at all maybe you're trying to make something work that God's not really blessing called the name but there's a brother sitting here that last I heard he's missionary to China you tell me how you reached China with our methodology you tell me how you did that and hirtius went through Russia in 2019 14 1915 preached the gospel he left there within just a couple of years after that there was the revolution overthrew the government communism came in there 50 60 years later when we finally got a chance to go back in there you know what they found her purse unites all over the place by the tens of thousands where you could legally have Church where it was where to witness to the wrong person would get you put in jail for a long time in fact their estimates that their number of Apostolic was far greater than all the Apostolic sin this country and we had the freedom to be religious and traditional and they didn't have any of those freedoms and God used the biblical method now let me say this quickly I'm not unappreciative in a church building and I believe the people are not supposed to come together but this is not the field this is not the field Jesus hang on this is just the introduction we get there in a moment brother Victor Jackson said it North America used Congress we have an apostolic presence in this world but we don't have an apostolic witness our signs say apostolic if they come in the building then they'll get to see some apostolic but there's no real Apostolic witness except by the strange few out there put the first Corinthians 1:11 on screen for me please here's the simplest definition of being apostolic in the Bible be a followers of me even as I also am of Christ and the word follower there means imitator following doesn't say as strong as the Greek word is it's imitate can ask you questions are we imitating Paul Peter never said for me to imitate him how could i he touched him he walked with him he heard his physical voice he ate with him he slept on the ground nearby he saw the miracles he received multiplied and blessed bread in his hand and broken himself five thousand healed I can't be an imitator of Peter John Mark I can't I can't I can't be an imitator of those guys the only guy I can imitate in this book the one the Lord chose to write most of the book is the guy we could imitate the one that never heard his voice except in a vision on the road to Damascus he never saw any of that he said be an imitator of me I got a question Apostolic are you an imitator of Paul are you imitating his vision his burden his methodology are you metate in his faith his commitment how about you still metate his prayer our city I was sitting because I'm a superintendent I was sitting in the VIP section that Youth Congress and there were a bunch of people there they weren't all general board members well I was doing what I do I wouldn't sitting there cleaning my fingernails I was sitting there participating in the spirit praying in tongues and and I wasn't pray aloud but I felt all these Pentecostals around me very uncomfortable in the fact that I was praying in tongues so I kind of got quieter and quieter I didn't stop but I'm second thinking to myself is this really that strange to you guys that somebody is praying in the spirit is this really that strange to you I'm an imitator of Paul what did Paul say I thank my god I speak with tongues more than you all if the total amount of time I speak in tongues that a day is under six hours I feel back slid what does that mean I don't just pray in tongues on my knees why again because I don't know what to pray for and according to the met the next verse we know not what we should pray for us me heart but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered he that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit and maketh intercession for us according to the will of God so according to those scriptures I'm never praying more in the will of God than when I'm praying in tongues not only that when when I'm praying in tongues I'm not praying with my faith I don't even know what I'm praying there's only one person's paid faith I can be prayed with I'm praying with Jesus's own faith his faith is praying through me now which is better me praying in my faith or his faith but you don't know what you're praying in that good because if I find new some of the stuff I was praying I might not have enough faith to pray it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] an apostolic is an imitator of Paul an imitator of Paul there's not time to clearly define all of that but I would strongly encourage you to go home and find out how Paul did things I wasn't gonna use this but the hell let's do it okay sister let's go to Acts chapter 26 we'll start with verse 16 and I've used this here before but the Holy Ghost says it's time again so let's do it so here the voice from heaven it was Jesus just for times sake I'm jumping in the middle of this but rise and stand upon my feet for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose I've appeared unto thee Paul for this all for this purpose here's the reason I've appeared to you Saul to make the administer and the witness both of these things which thou has seen and of those things into which I will appear to the verse 17 delivering thee for the people and for the Gentiles unto whom now I send thee the Greek word their sin is I've not a Greek scholar so I I can't pronounce it properly but it's Apostolou which is the Greek root form and root word for apostle one who is sent with authority on a commission with a mission under who am i now sending that here it is let's see how close we're obeying imitating Paul verse 18 here's the mission I've sent you on Paul to open their eyes that's not talking about naturally to turn them from darkness to light that's not talking about naturally and from the power of the Greek word there's not Dunamis but it's X you see authority from the authority of Satan unto God under God's Authority all of that precedes this that for this talks for this purpose they may receive forgive so since now I'm gonna brand myself with some of you here we go you ready I got this problem I don't totally trust an Anglican trust translated Bible do you sure you do it's called King James Version it was translated by the Anglican Church under the authority of the Anglican King and there were no translators involved that weren't Anglican now I preach out of the King I've got it right there and I memorized King James but it's an Anglican translation there's no divinely inspired translation so the Bible's only defined it inspired its original languages so what does it mean that they may receive forgiveness of sins how about this one acts 2:38 repent be baptized every one of you in the name Jesus Christ for the oh it says remission of sins slight problem the word translated remission next 2:38 is the exact same word translated forgiveness in acts 26:18 ooh there's a problem in it because in our organization all of my life we've tried to make we've got this King James bot doctrine Wow where we tried to define the difference between remission of sins and forgiveness of sins and it's the same exact Greek word there are not two words there's only one word that's only one word it's sometimes translated the King James remission it's sometimes forgiveness now why would they do that because the Anglicans were moving away from Catholicism and they practice infant baptism but they didn't want to believe that was for the forgiveness of sins and you know and of course we got these guys today that have left us they got this big revelation that it's a repent and be baptized that one of you in the name Jesus Christ because you've already received forgiveness of sins well I'm sorry I don't know what books they're reading but the Greek scholars I read the the preposition translated there it's not it does not point toward the past something that's already been accomplished it points toward where you're going in the future and you've got to really twist the scripture and the original words to say that baptism is because you've already had your sins forgiven because that Greek word never points to the past you know something already done it always points toward the future something that's about to be done what does that mean that means first John 1:9 only works what you've been baptized only those who have already been born again who have been baptized repent and baptized for the forgiveness of sins only they can then confess their sins to keep clean blue that's not even my point let's go back to that scripture please my point is this look what Paul was told by the audible voice of Jesus on the road to Damascus to do before he ever got to preaching forgiveness of sins to somebody and all of that is done in the spirit by prayer by prayer you open their eyes because they're spiritually blind by prayer you turned them from darkness to light by prayer you pray for them to be delivered from the authority of Satan so they can come under the authority of God you can't preach to them acts 2:38 oh wait and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me and again I'll have the time but if you go to Ephesians chapter 1 you will find that the Holy Ghost is the earnest of our inheritance and so that in order to have an inherit inheritance among them which are sanctified Ephesians chapter 1 verse 10 1112 says you have to have the baptism of Holy Ghost because that's the down payment or the assurance that you have an inheritance and without it you have no inheritance but I got to question it again this is what Paul was told when he died Christ when he was converted am i an imitator oh yeah I'm not trying to be offensive I'm just trying to make a point so hang on now we have we have prayer means to church to God thank you Jesus thank you Jesus hallelujah we're a bunch of Pentecostals and we spent a lot of time and prayer don't with Pilate oh yeah Alleluia you tell me how God answers that prayer you tell me how that kind of prayin affects the lost and changes your city tell me how you do that tell me how he does that oh and when we only really get to that we start with that we end with that but in the middle our primary purpose is to make sure we're forgiving and still saved and that he knows everything we want him to do for us today and all the stuff we want him to fix and change and when we're done with that kind of praying there's Pentecostals we're done and he said in Matthew chapter 6 several times in other places - why are you praying for your needs already know what you have neither if you're gonna pray pray for the kingdom look see I get I get this problem that's what the Bible says I'm kind of stuck I don't know I'm not that stuck there's a problem I can't ignore that's what the Bible says you get together with Pentecostals and all they want to do is talk about all our needs to God you know yeah I prayed about my problem premio Jesus here's my problem take care of this problem and I know you're busy now Lord so I'm gonna take this with me until you do something about it do I believe there was peace happening up here oh yeah but you got to understand something you've got to maintain peace and you maintain peace by casting cares every day okay I put it off long enough I can't put it off any farther so if you've survived that maybe you'll survive this hopefully oh Jesus how many great commissions are there you cheated cuz I already told you this you already believe that okay all right okay you told me you told me okay so view that said one and wrong answer it's wrong sister I'm not going to go back up there just put that first Scripture in the list there I think it's John there you go thank you okay then the same day at evening each one of these scenarios is dated date and time this is Resurrection day and in the evening of Resurrection Day being the first day of the week when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear the Jews came Jesus and stood in the midst and setteth unto them said to them peace be unto you next verse and when he had so said he showed unto them his hands and his side then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord next verse then said Jesus to them again peace be unto you here's the first giving of the Great Commission as in the same manner as just like as my father hath sent me even so send out you you can't participate with a Great Commission until you first know who's doing the sending and how you're being sent what authority you being sent with this is the Great Commission but it's the first edition of it and let me tell you this my I'm not gonna say my opinion I believe with everything in me if you don't get this if you don't get a revelation of this nothing else works I spent four years in the Naval Academy there was no pastor there was no church it was the greatest four years my life up to that point in the hardest four years of my life and when I when the Lord got me I was flying in flight training and the Lord got me out with a paralyzed shoulder blade which I still have and and and I would say I had already preached so much that I'd got my local and general license before they retired me and when they retired me I went full-time evangelism and I wanted to do that to get to go to church and preach I mean that was like heaven I spent four years without church so if you think I'm anti Church I went for years without fellowship with no pastor no worship no singing no nothing and now they're gonna look people gonna let me come to their church and preach and that was back when we really had church every night of the week you know and and I got to preach and they they actually quote-unquote paid me that's all I'll say about that but you know why I never complained because they didn't know I'd do it for free I was getting to go to church every night I was getting to preach I was getting to pray people through the Holy Ghost I made the statement I want to do this 10 years unless that eight months because I knew God was calling me to start a church I tried to get I I tried to start a church in Key West because it was as far from Annapolis as you could get and still be on East Coast yes that's the truth I preached a revival in Orlando when there wasn't very many churches and brother wells Kenneth well I think I was kidding as Wells drove me all over that city see if I could find and get a feeling I couldn't get a feeling I knew where I supposed to go I didn't want to go there but I went because it was either be out of the will of God so I'm believing hoping that if you are where you are you're in the will of God because you were sent I know church has changed pastors some in the will of God some not in the will of God and I know that all 30 of those guys that come to try out are there in the will of God yeah but I made a statement a long time ago I would by far prefer to go someplace and have to go through all the process of digging something out myself then they take over somebody else's problems and stuff they've messed up no question do it again all over again we have multiple congregations on Sunday morning and now we're divided up into three churches on Sunday night one Church three congregations we meet once a month but we're still one church why are we doing all that because I'm addicted to home missions not only that in our area it's not uncommon for people to drive an hour and a half hour hour and a half one way to work and back again and if you think those sinners are going to drive 30 minutes or more just to get to your building because you got your mega church going on that's stupid what if they do Drive that hour how much they gonna be able to be involved oh well they come and they take up seats and they give an offering I won't comment on that especially when the scripture says for us to go oh that's the next scripture isn't it no I'm just I'm sorry the next that would be mark there you go oh Jesus that last verse is really good because we don't understand it so it's really hard he'd be offensive with it because we don't understand it but this one is a little bit more difficult and it's easy to be offensive with this really easy you ready I'm about to offend you afterward he appeared under the lemon as they said it meat and upbraided them with not for not for their unbelief and hardness heart he took their unbelief and hardness of heart and used it as his tools of chastisement now I will not do to you what he did to them because if you look up that word upbraid it it's so strong it's it would describe what he did at the temple when our great God loving Savior kind kind Savior braided a whip out of ropes and swung it down do you think he missed he's God manifested the flesh if it was bit the major leagues he'd have a thousand batting average and every time he hit would be a home run right do you think he missed those people with those ropes that's this word right here and it was the 11 what he had done in the temple to the money chamber money changers who had turned his house from a House of Prayer into a den of thieves he turned that same feeling on the 11 and what was it that had him so upset what was it because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen how did he know they didn't leave because they were locked away in a place of safety protecting themselves from persecution Jesus called that unbelief God some just moved in here I think you're starting to get the message if all I do is behind the closed doors of my safe space it I don't care how wonderful it looks and feels is unbelief and hardness apart it's unbelief and hardness of heart when the only way someone can hear the gospel is to respond to an invitation to our safe space it's unbelief and hardness apart let's pray for a minute father help us forgive us for our unbelief forgive us for our hardness of heart forgive us for taking such a wonderful treasure and hiding it hiding it in a place where we can be safe forgive us Father forgive us for protecting ourselves and letting the loss go to hell Jesus name because of our unbelief and hardness of heart forgive us father forgive us father forgive us father forgive us father next verse commissions you and I have told you to go stop questioning my ways stop questioning my word and allow me to be who I have promised to be in and through you so that this world can know me this is not about your reputation this is not about your voice being heard this is about my voice being heard in this generation of these last days I have called you I have Commission's you and now you are to go Jesus name Jesus name she's the snake Jesus name Jesus name I'm gonna ask you to repent for unbelief again and here's why I'm doing that the message in tongues is only necessary when there's unbelief in the house that's what first Corinthians 14 says the very fact that God could not speak to us without first having a message in tongues proves that there's unbelief in the house he proved that there's unbelief in the house nobody hears questioning that God just spoke to us it was a clear word from the Lord but that message in tongues is proof there's unbelief in the house Jesus name [Applause] Jesus name the sign of the gift of tongues is only necessary when there's unbelief in the house Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Colorado bukata bhai [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] but but brother right I'm faithful to church I never missed the church service brother right yeah locked away in a place of safety protecting ourselves and hiding the word from the world Jesus name I'm willing stop now totally ghost isn't ready yet because that was the easy stuff next verse the word go means go and he said unto them he upgraded them for their unbelief and this is what he said or regards to their unbelief go the word go means to change locations there's no word come it's no synonym have come there's no way you can make it a synonym of gum go who's supposed to do the going not the center go ye into all the world the field is the world the church is not and preach the gospel to every creature here's what our tradition is done and it's taking the word preach here and perverted it into sermonizing it says nothing to do preaching a sermon the Greek word means to publish or distributor or make known abroad the synonym would be seed sowing not sermonizing what that also means is there is no call to preach talked about here every person with the Holy Ghost is called to this everybody is called to go and tell the good news everybody it's the good news the good news acts 2:38 is what happens after people hear the good news it's not the good news it's what people do in response the Holy Ghost is qualified to tell people the good news even those that haven't measured up yet go you in all the world preach the gospel every creature every creature I'm gonna skip those verses for now sister let's come back to let's go now to Matthew then the 11 here we are again went away into Galilee so in John the Commission was given on the day of the resurrection mark was spoken while they were still in Jerusalem but it wasn't the day of the resurrection Luke excuse me Matthew he sent them into Galilee to a mountain and he met them there this is a different time and this is the third part of the Great Commission then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee in the mountain where Jesus had appointed them next verse and when he when they saw him they worshiped him but some doubted experts Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power not Dunamis exclusi Authority all authority is given unto me in heaven and in earth go ye therefore therefore is a conjunction what's to follow is based on what's just been said you can't separate the two all authority is given unto me in heaven and earth therefore this our way of saying it today therefore go ye same word again go is it mark go ye therefore and teach all nations Oh there is no way you can linguistically connect preach in mark 16:15 and teach in Matthew 28:19 it's completely different preach if you go and distribute the good news you communicate it to every creature every creature but teach you can look it up it's easy to find teach means basically to train or to make a disciple oh but he didn't stop there teach all nations baptizing in the name of father and son the Holy Ghost : here's what I want you to teach all nations next verse teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I've commanded you it's not enough to make them disciples you got to make them apostolic you haven't made them disciples of Jesus till you first made them disciples of the Apostles they got to become apostolic I was born in a Pentecostal church let me tell you what happened to me my four years at the academy I went there a third generation Pentecostal left their first generation apostolic because I didn't have anybody to confine me to tradition ideology and I left there having made a vow to God that I would only ever believe what I could find in the book for myself which is spiritual nobility because those that Berea were more noble than those in Thessalonica because even after they heard Paul preached they went to the scripture to make sure what he said was in the book well you're gonna believe this because I say so yes sir brother blind and all your blind followers are gonna go to hell just like you because the idea that people are supposed to believe stuff just because I say so is not in the book even Jesus himself said you don't know the Scriptures nor the power of God even Jesus didn't except expect them to believe what he said without going to the scriptures and see if what he said was in there I expect to die in the UPC eye if if that time comes but if you're gonna tell me I got to believe what we've always done rather than the Bible you want my card now or later because when you make that criteria put that criteria on me I'm out of here because you just left Jesus I'm follow the book so Mark March 16 is the beginning of the reaching of the world mark a Matthew 28 is the end of the process Matthew 28 was spoken after March 16 they were still in Jerusalem when March 16 was spoken Matthew 28 was spoken when they went into Galilee where he appointed them to go mark 16 is so exceed to ever creature well that's planting right no planning is when you purposely put a seed in a specific spot we call that home Bible studies I'm all for that Paul said in first Corinthians 3 I planted nopales watered but God gives the increase I don't think we believe that verse we don't do a lot of sewing and we want to measure the growing we want to take our yardstick out into the field check how God's doing got a little blade comes up after a week or two and we check see how that's - how you doing God Lord you have to speed this thing up it's a little slow he gets a little taller we're measuring God he gets a little taller we first see that some greens are starting to collect on the end of the word second God out see how he's doing we're not measuring what we do by the word we're measuring what God does some so some water God gives the increase God gives the increase now afford I'd love for you to show me a verse in the Bible where the Lord where the scripture says for us to go out and save souls it's not theirs have you looked you're right it's not there it would be like saying to a farmer go grow a crop the only thing that farmer can do is sow the seed the growing is up to God but we put all this pressure on ourselves to do the growing to oversee the growing to make the growing happens if you're a wheat farmer you put the seed in the ground and you got nothing else to do that crop until it's time to reap it because God gives the increase what am I saying we got this thing long we're trying to convert to our church and rather than sowing the seed and letting God do the work cuz here's the problem you may go see so sheep and that machine may come up in some place and those people may end up going to another Church paying their ties someplace else are you gonna be moon god I sold that seed how come they're not coming to my church because my whole thinking is warped and twisted it's about me it's not about the kingdom hey if you get this it takes all the pressure off because hey how complicated is it scatter seed not at all is it but what we're out there doing is trying to convince people that have never had their eyes open they've never had darkness prayed off of them they've never had the authority of Satan prayed off of them and we're trying to make them converts instead of so exede just so exede Ecclesiastes and I'll use this again tomorrow probably give a little 7 also date cuz you know wouldn't work today I've told this story many times but the man it was the founder of the church that I was preaching a revival in that where I finally gave up to God to go to Annapolis in Greenville South Carolina's name was William Harvey Sechrist oh he and I had great times together he loved the word and I didn't do we'd sit for hours and talk word and he told me in his testimony he was from Sunbury Pennsylvania and the pastor of this church in that town at that time was named Louis Manuel you old-timers like me would know the name he wrote a lot of tracks the were used by a lot of people in our organization well brother secrets that's German se CH RISD and that kind of ironic see Christ he wasn't raised in the church he'd know anything about God he was walking down the street one day and noticed a piece of paper laying on the ground and he stopped and picked that piece of paper up and it was a track and he stood right there and read this track and it so moved him he looked at the address and he went to that place and it was the pastor's house and he knocked on the door and in less than two weeks later 16 year-old William Harvey Sechrist was the fruit that came up from that scene that somebody discarded on the ground and two great churches were built from that discarded seed one in Greenville South Carolina one of Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania from a seed that somebody didn't want it was handed to him and they threw it on the ground and God protected that seed and kept it from getting swept away or blown away and made sure it was right in the path of William Harvey Secret 16 year old who knew nothing about God you see that's our problem we're trying to do God's work when we just need to do our work and let him do his see we SS how many how many people you pray through that's like asking a farmer that hadn't even plowed to feel yet how much prop did you reap what about this one he goes out there and it takes a cup full of seed he pours it out expects the entire field to be full of crop and the book says if you sow sparingly you're going to reap sparingly is it possible that the reason you're not seeing more harvest is it because you don't preach good is it because you don't have good singing is it because you don't have good organization and program is it because your church doesn't pray but pray praying brings down the rain and if you rain on a field that's never been plowed and sown you're growing weeds if you're if you've got to pray in a church going that doesn't do any sewing you got Church trip full of trouble because you're growing weeds [Applause] you're growing weeds well I search praise why have I got all this trouble because you didn't do any sowing and it's raining on your field because you're praying and that rain is gonna cause what's out there we grow weeds weeds oh Jesus I'm trying not to get in - mark - tomorrow's today trying to praise God so he's sending me just like he sent Jesus he's sending me sin to you he's commanded us to go into all our world our world the area I'm responsible for and and spread the good news seed everywhere and then when that crop grows up and there's something produced the word teach there presupposes there's been a harvest because the word teaches actually speaks of processing the harvest taking what has been harvested and turning it into bread it the harvest is so automatically assumed the word teach doesn't even discuss the harvest but the seeds got the grace got to get out of the field into the onto the threshing floor and then here's the last one let's do Luke first sister he said unto them this has written the city who Christ suffered rise from the dead the third day and repentance remission of sins should be preached in his name beginning it among all nations beginning at Jerusalem and your witness of these things behold I send the promise of my father upon you that but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high and he led them out as far as Bethany as to Bethany he lifted up his hands and blessed them and it came to pass while he blessed them he was parted from them and carried up into heaven and they worshiped and returned to Jerusalem with great joy and we're continually in the temple praising and blessing God amen now notice that acts 1:1 begins in the middle of this scenario x11 the former troops have I made with the office followed Jesus began both to do and teach until the day in which he was taken up after he that he had through the Holy Ghost had given Commandments on the Apostles whom he had chosen to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs being seen to them for today's speaking of the things pertaining the kingdom of God and being assemble together with them to commanded them that they should not parts from Jerusalem but wait for the promises father would say the everted me for John truly baptized with water but she shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence when they therefore were coming together they asked you to say Lord wilt out this time restore again they came to Israel and he said of them it is not for you to know the times that Caesar switched fathers but his own power but usual receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria under the other most part of the earth I submit to you that a witness is not the same thing as a disciple because the Greek word the English equivalent letters of the Greek word spells martyr this is someone who's become more than a follower this is this is someone who's become more than someone who just believes the teachings of the doctrine this is somebody who's made a commitment that they're willing to die for the message and this is the fourth part of the Great Commission and we need to many of our church born church bread church contained believers wouldn't die for this faith if it was the last thing in this world because they're not that committed in other words he started the Commission with just like I was sent to you the father is sending you to them here to go to all the world and spread the good news broadcast it publish it indiscriminately get it out there you don't know where the land you don't know what kind of reception it will find it's not your business what their heart is it's your business to get seed out and then the crop grows because that's my part and after the crop grows I'm gonna send you in my field harvest it and now I want you to take what's your harvest and I wasn't you to turn them into Apostolic disciples and then as they grow in me they will reach the place that they so loved me that they will give their life for me and that is going to impact the world real quickly and I'm done Luke 8:11 please now this now the parable is this the seed is the word of God first Peter 2:23 being born again not of corruptible seed not of corruptible seed you were born again not of corruptible seed but by incorruptible seed and that incorruptible seed is the word of God which liveth and abideth forever oh but there is another perspective of this Matthew 13 36 then Jesus sent the disciples away and went into the house and his disciples came unto him saying declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field verse 37 and the answered and said unto them he that soweth the good seed is the son of man the field is the world the good seed are the children of the kingdom yes the state is the word but it's not just the word it's the children of the kingdom with the word in them it's the children of the kingdom with the word in them because whatever grows up it's like what was planted anybody can preach the word anybody all over there's preaching preaching all over our country in the world preaching the word but you got to be a child of the kingdom bearing the word for that combination to become the seed that's John 1223 Jesus entrance into them the hours come the Son of man should be glorified verily verily I say unto you except the corn of wheat he was the first seed he was the first seed planted in the seed bed in every seed true seed every true child of the kingdom bearing this the incorruptible seed is a product of him who first was planted and died except the corn of wheat fall to ground and die it abideth alone but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit and the Greek word there much is the same Greek word in Matthew 9 the harvest therefore is plenteous same greek word we struggle so much we pray we love the word we love the truth but what what's our problem we're trying to use the wrong vehicle we got the truth we love God we pray but we're using we're trying to cook to spread or share new wine in old wineskins and you hear me I'm saying this to you in the Holy Ghost there is a harvest that's promised of such an extent that when you receive that harvest is gonna blow what you do to kingdom come if you don't voluntarily change it ahead of time it's going to blow what you do so far apart you're not gonna recognize you're not going to be able to have church services like you have been doing it you're not gonna be able to run things like you've been running it because that harvest is gonna burst those old wineskins to kingdom come [Applause] now if you care about that harvest receive this is a word of faith begin to let God show you how to change from so you can receive the harvest and not be destroyed I need that bag here's the verse here's the verse actually I need what you know what I need you to do I said I need you to go to mark chapter 16 I need you to go to mark chapter 16 I want you to go to verse 17 and they went for and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name they shall cast out Devils they shall speak with new tongues next verse they shall take up serpents if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them they lay shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover next verse so then after so then after the Lord had spoken unto them he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God hello brethren his sisters this next verse describes what happens when an Apostolic Church does what God sends them to do in an apostolic fashion read it read it I want you to read it read it read it read it read it read it read it they went forth they preached everywhere and what did the Lord do the Lord went with them working with them confirming the word with signs following you know why we're not reaching people we're brings in an unconfirmed word because we're not going to doing what he said dude we're not doing it how hard is this receive that come on come on here's the promise and they went forth after he ascended into heaven this is the Apostolic Church here after they was a bit heed they ascended to heaven they went forth and preached swear at your church address that's your church address everywhere and what did God do when they did what he said to do he worked with them and confirmed the word with signs following I had permission to do that but this is more important here are cards about this church you wear the places you go why don't you just show a little appreciation of this church by sowing seed wherever you go while you're here don't take what you're not going so don't take what you're not going to so come on it's Jesus name in Jesus name father whatever you've got to do in us whatever you've got to do through us
