'IT WAS AN ACT OF GOD': Texas Family Lucky To Be Alive After Encounter With Large Tornado

please tell me did not to sit a house here oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh there's people there's people get in get in the car get in the car please God help open the open the door get in come on guys get in get in the other side other side other side come on come on come on please get us I need your phone oh my goodness yeah that is the the Lambert family rushing to get help after a strong tornado ripped through their Texas home on Thursday stormchaser Freddy McKinny a showed up in a a dire moment clearly you heard that and brought them to the the nearest hospital the mother of the family Casey Lambert and her Sun Lane joined Fox Weather Live to share their story take a listen the four of us hunkered down in our closet together my husband myself and the our two children and we just made a um ball and we braced down and we tried to cover them as best as possible and we were able to um do so and um at one at one time the forces were so strong that um the unfortunately was pulled from our grip Wes and I we were holding him and he was pulled and and he was thrown into a big pile of bricks several feet away so by the time everything settled I I I didn't think we were going to make it out um honestly I we just we prayed and we prayed and we prayed just the whole time because um I think that was the only way that we made it through this and um when we when we it settled for a moment because the tornado was still ongoing when um we looked up and saw friend and my first instinct was just get to help as soon as I could see um because I couldn't see anything and so um when we did get up I picked up our daughter Ally and Wes was yelling he found Lane and he ran to him and he got him and we all just started running toward Freddy the tornado was still just going right here beside us um and it was just an act of God that Freddy's timing was was when it was and um he rushed us to the hospital he risked his life um to save ours and we were very very grateful for that um and we he was what we prayed for we said God please get us through this tornado and God please just protect us and he did truly a miracle right Heaven Sent Freddy coming down the lane checking in and I think that's a a a portion of the job for storm tisses that's often overlooked is the fact that they're the first ones on the scene I'm so glad he could get to you Casey and and Lane and so can you tell us what your home looks like now is there anything that was salvageable this was as you had said on the ground for so long and even as you were trying to get to the hospital it was still something of concern because the tornado was still violently there nearby was what does your home look like now so it's flat and there's a concrete slab um I have myself have not been out my husband and numerous community members helping us out from our church to our wonderful town of Holly um they've been out all day just Gathering anything they can find my phone was thrown I had no clue where it was and so you know that was some of the things found but they've just been picking up scraps and like our beloved stuffed animals and um some of the things that are important to us Treasures you know um that are replaceable but just finding those little pieces that little glimmer of hope to help us keep our life um noral [Music]
