I'm visiting every station on Tamar Valley Line I left you at Kum and now I'm heading towards the St [Music] buos there's nothing here yes I just looked at the sign to remind myself which of the some buos I was at we got an hour to walk to the next station which is so far away so this is the first station so far that has had actual real time information boards but there's no cran information it tried it tried so talking about the station itself it's clearly a former two platform station this is now on the Tamar Valley Line the mainline sent buo station is all the way over there which we'll go to shortly there's just not a lot to say about this station really it's a station it's very stationary leaves me unmoved the of note is this is where they pick up the token for the line so the stockboard is down there can't proceed there without the token which is stored in that cupboard just there oh no how I'm going to walk this distance so far this is a long ramp so many Hills so I'm at the entrance to St buo Victoria Road and I'm going to do that thing that YouTubers do where they time it I'm going to time the journey to some buo Ferry Road so 3 2 1 start 9 seconds entrance to entrance this has to be the shortest distance between two station entrances out out there surely let me know in the comments so s buo Ferry Road I see a cat does someo Ferry Road have a cat hello hello oh hello hello scar baby hello hello [Music] oh Cornwall on a destination on a sign it's actually rare as a destination you often see counters on signs there the situation here confuses me a bit because Victoria Road which is is served more it's really hard to tell that it's even there there Ferry Road which is served a lot less has the totem and the entrance just a bit more obvious makes no sense so we're under platforms now at some buo Ferry Road that walk just it just wore me out got to say it seems like the perfect opportunity to say massive thank you to my lovely patreons you're scrolling on screen right now your support makes these videos possible massive thank you to you guys and if you want to get your name onto this list the links to do so are in the description but really thank you guys the reason that these two stations exist so close together is that they were completely separate lines originally the Tamar Valley Line used to take a different route into Plymouth the connection to the main line just beyond here is actually a fairly recent thing so they were very different Services coming from these two stations originally we're just waiting for the next train now which is going to be a HST to take us down to devonport now I know technically this isn't on the Tamar Valley Line but I've included it in this video just for ease because it's the last station in Devon salash is the next station that way I've been to salash cornall done it mate done everything that way now our next station is going to be devonport that way but I say this isn't on Tamar Valley Line the station signs all have the little Tamar Valley Line logo on them so I wonder if it's from an operational point of view at least considered to be part of the Tamar Valley Line if you know the answer let me know so we're just waiting for our next train now which will take us to devonport imaginative name that we're in Deon in a port what should we call this devonport the next station is devonport and that's where we're going that's the first announcement we've had on the train today I still maintain that the hsd should have been left in the '90s I'm sorry I know you love them that didn't sound good the only thing dirtier than a 150 window is a HS [Music] window welcome to devonport I didn't fully know what to expect from this station it could have gone either way but I I just like this in the cutting feeling it's big bridge over it don't get me wrong it's not what you'd call like Heritage e station but it's just I don't know I'm getting nice vibes from here very secluded let's going to have a look at the other side and I have a feeling the view from up there might be nice these are the better kind of help points actually have information on them I mean it's no substitute for like a proper display but it's better than nothing I want to look at the trains passing cute there was something here Wonder was this an original bridge over the raway but there's nothing on the other side hi baby hello hello oh I stopped I dared to stop and I this is definitely the video of the cats hey you're very friendly and you hate me SC I don't trust you I simultaneously like you and don't trust you at the same time I think you're going to hurt [Music] me [Music] B olon it's nice it's nice it's got those old Main Line feelings this used to be a Junction Station back in the day so you would have had two tracks of the main here up to Oak Hampton and Beyond and the other trains up to it would have been callington back in the day now just gun his Lake um from the other side of that Island there now sadly this is the end of the line that way can't get to tap Oak Hampton anymore and just one platform is used the other platform's pretty much fully intact I'm going to guess the other side of the platform is probably fairly intact bit of work it could come back into use which is good because there have been talks around government and all that about extending it up to Tavistock I think we meant to get a decision about that soon actually we might have already done that I just haven't heard about it and I think there are longer term desires to connect it back up to Oak Hampton which will be really useful as a diversionary route away from the doish seaw wall when the storms do stormy things I mean it's just a station that it feels bigger than it is because it was bigger than it is such a shame this would have probably been quite Grand in uh back in the day so here at the end of the platform as a result of all the closure palava it's created another palava where when the train comes in the guard has to then come down here and change the points so that the train can go down what was the original Branch line it's now obviously just the through route up from Plymouth um and then when they come back guard will have to come off and do the same thing again it's not just Junction H where this kind of thing happens it happens in a fair few places weird situation the Station Road is wider than the road that it comes off also I've noticed something this sign says 11 fo0 the sign on that bridge says 11 fo3 I need a tape measure down here shows kind of the old layout bit as well obviously we got the 11t free bridge which is one of those signs is wrong but you've got the bridge for what would have been the main line and you got the bridge for the other line behind it now not used e m oh God you got that camera yep rail track haven't existed for a while you moist now I'm very moist and on this side it's the other way round that one says 11t Z and that one says 11 fo free right for me this is the end of the line today if you haven't already seen me do Cal stock and gun is l they were in the coral series I 100% recommend you go and watch that I think it's one of my best series to date for now I'm going to leave a link just here to the next video that I think you should watch but until next time bye-bye
