Is Premium Economy worth it? British Airways World Traveller Plus (London to Abu Dhabi)

we've all given British Airways a fair amount of crap for their business class or hub world product from its super packed configuration did non direct I lack receipts and entertainment systems let's put it this way it was just subpar how about the premium economy or world travel of plus product is just as bad at in this category is a worth the upgrading economy well today we'll find the vo world traveler plus products from London to up jargon so join me on this journey and let's find out as we've all premium the economy of products you don't get lounge access so why not hang out at the gate you do get a slug priority in boarding though just meant that we were shopping onto the bus first and had to wait for others anyway [Music] there was no boarding pressure for this flight so what this day as we go what must essence closet I must say I didn't feel over the envy of those who paid extra to sit there past this cabin who were in world traveler class territory no lie flat seats it looks alright and it's roomier than in colony I was surprised by the amount of legroom available we crossed my legs without too much trouble it also came with my small footrest which for me doesn't add much to a comfort level [Music] not long after we were served our pre Department drink of champagne which was served in class way and that was a very nice time [Music] before I get distracted let's have a look at the legroom of my neighbors around the cabin around the seat we have the remote control which is on the side and a universal cloak which is located at the bottom of my seat you do get one inch which is good as you don't have to fight much enable at the front of the seat is the storage pouch and two USBs underneath the screen there's also an adjustable headrest which were comfortable British Airways also provides a cushion and a blanket here's the simple menu that comes with this trip let's take a look from what I've read if the main course is actually the same as the business class cabin so I'm really looking forward to this one other than that the menu is definitely closer to economy than deeds business class so I enjoy myself a bit of comic relief or safety video and then it was time to take off [Music] [Music] [Music] to decide on the seat is the table which is fine and again more of an economy table than it is a business class table it pushes out a bit further economy and it serves the purpose we're also given some sort of a plastic pouch or some stuff inside let's take a look at what it is we have an eye mask toothbrush toothpaste ear plugs and socks this similar than over knives economy kids but without the face products their business class before eyes what stars checking this out I received a nice hot towel to freshen up written notes continuing on we got some headphones we should I think with noise cancelling that because the carbon Siri is it does block out the noise [Music] as this was the newer plane it came with Wi-Fi though I didn't feel I needed it but hero the crisis in case you were interested a quick look around the toilets and you'll find that it looks like an economy toilet that's because it is we're pretty sure we were meant to share it with ricotta me too as there are tons of people using a quick look around Kevin and you see if actually quite nice dinner two for two configuration them clients pretty good too in my opinion though it does get impacted by the person behind the person sitting behind me was an idiot and was basically using his leg to stop me from the coin I seize the split-second opportunity when you put his feet down to the client and left it there since it was a struggle the entertainment system was pretty standard British Airways and not overly great but it was alright was bit disappointed that even though the flight was Wi-Fi enabled we didn't get live TV anyways on to happier things drink of gin and tonic and nibbles is felt a bit more economy now and we're back to plastic covers and then to the most anticipated part the main meal okay so it's all served in one tray definitely economist islands are though I've read that the main dishes from the business class menu though it's not served or presented in the same way also I got myself a bottle of red wine which is from the small bottles of the economy class cabin I'm going to talk a bit more on the food in this review as I think it's one of the things that separates the premium economy from economy and business class whilst the food is still served into tray you do get proper cutlery and crockery and the main dish if not disappointed it was absolutely delicious and I do believe it's when the business class menu without the presentation definitely a big upgrade from economy it was super flavoursome and hit the spot thumbs up to behave this after dinner it was Kevin dimming time and time to get everyone to sleep so you don't bother to fight attendance not much in terms of ambient lighting here the remaining stack was not very appealing pizza he actually tasted better than it looks though nothing memorable enough let's come back down it was time for landing while you enjoy the landing or share some concluding thoughts I think that'd be a premium economy is a significant upgrade from their economy product both in terms of food and comfort the set is much more comfortable than economy especially for a long-haul flight yes it's not a live flatbed that yours are not paying tons and tons of extra cash forage it definitely does a great job as a middle ground between business and economy personally I think it's much better valued nested class will better value than British Airways business class anyone I would be willing to pay up to 30 to 40% more than an economy fare the pilots definitely worth the upgrade any more than the 30 or 40% then I think it's up to how much you value that's added comfort [Music] well that's it for me though please stay tuned and we haven't was described already please make sure you
