Is Del Taco's 20 Under $2 Menu Still Worth It? 🌮

my favorite sauce right there everybody's derek and katherine and we are here today to tell you if the del taco 20 for two dollar menu is still a good deal now we did a video about the del taco 20 for two dollar menu that's a it's a it's a dollar menu where everything is two dollars or less and they have a ton of different things to choose from we made a video where we tried a whole bunch of things basically everything off of that menu and we thought it was a great deal now sometime has passed we don't know if the prices have gone up we wanted to try it again and del taco reached out to us provided us a gift card to try it one more time and find out if it is still a good deal thank you for the smell taco today hi i'd like two crunch tatas two chicken del carbone tacos two chicken cheddar rollers brown chipotle original chipotle okay two guaced up crispy chicken tacos and two snack queso quesadillas all right two snack tacos and one order of three layer nachos okay and then one iced coffee all right and one iced tea all right we have our del taco 20 under two dollars everything is actually under two dollars so let's get to the prices and i'll tell you exactly how much everything is especially compared to the last time we were here because some of the prices have gone up now we got a crunch tata these are all things we got last time as well a crunch tata it's 139 we're here just three months ago 129. so that's gone up 10 cents the chicken del carbone taco is 139 and it was 129 when we were here just a few months ago the chipotle the chicken rollers so they got this this uh new chicken cheddar rollers it was like a monterey jack jesus on the last time we had it here they were a dollar nine they're still a dollar nine okay so same price on those the guac'd up crispy chicken taco 169 it's what it was it's now 179. the snack queso quesadilla 109. oh it was a dollar when we were here before so that's up 9 cents the snack tacos 89 cents and they were also 89 cents back then same price the three layer nachos they were 139 another 149 so about half the items have gone up about 10 cents and two items that we didn't get the last time that we came here are these drinks i got the iced coffee and i have the medium iced tea yes and these were both a dollar 49 each this is really big that is big it's bigger than my coffee but who meet let's try these because these were actually the two two items we have today that we didn't try a few months ago when they first came out with the 20 under two dollar menu they're just under two dollars like nothing is even two dollars yeah the most expensive is the clocked up christian taco that's 179. all right let's try our iced drinks okay oh i like this i love this it's not sweet it reminds me of mcdonald's iced tea which is unsweetened mine is sweet really sweet and that's what i was hoping for a sweet sweet iced coffee so those are good yes now let's get to the food all right we've got some quesadillas ooh these are nice and warm like actually quite super hot these are the snack quesadillas quesadillas and uh the crispy chicken tacos i think these are the ones we got guaca and then there's that over here oh there's so much more here there's so many more you want to just pull outside this is a hard shell taco because i'd probably the snack taco right more sausage out of the way oh these must be like these uh sort of street tags yeah i remember i like those a lot these feel like two rollers oh maybe these are the cheddar ones yeah because the roller side is out on the paper oh those are our nachos third and final bag includes the crunch tadas right so this is there we go one and we have two in here so two concertos and all of this food less than twenty dollars 1975 before tax and after tax 21.63 so 2163 including tax for all of this food including these drinks a lot of food all right so let's see how it tastes we have things to unwrap here like like these these quesadillas are so hot who doesn't love quesadillas well i mean i like quesadillas i don't know if i said i love them let us know in the comments if you love quesadillas i wish there was a quesadilla emoji it was good it was so warm it's so hot the other thing is it's usually quesadillas when i make them at home i just wouldn't use one tortilla here's two there's two and they just folded them tacos i gotta have sauce on it though i mean it's like it's very cheesy very cheesy it's like i said what you want a quesadilla [Music] queso the del taco sauce is so good let's look at these the tiny little snack tacos yeah these look these look large these look almost as large as their regular yeah tacos these look about the size of a taco bell they do the regular taco they're cute it's a grilled chicken taco but not the case this is a regular hard shell taco no tomatoes on this actually is almost exactly like what you get at taco bell you've got the taco bell uh just crunch chocolate that's true from this side this could use a little sauce use the sauce that's just what i've been looking at looking around where did they put oh oh thank you okay you're welcome yeah this is well usually when we would get these we get these with tomate like fresh chopped tomatoes on the regular one but these are the dollar menu ones so you know it's a little stripped down yeah they're called the snack tacos for a reason because they are like a little snack like petite petite tacos but still i mean that's a i just took a big bite there's a lot still here i really like this tortilla it has just such a nice corn taste it's my favorite of all the fast food you know hot mild sauce that's a good one now let's try these these chicken cheddar rollers here's my flour tortilla oh okay you know i think this is the type of meat they have in their chicken soft tacos yeah and i really like that yeah and i see some sauce the best for the chipotle oh yeah that's right we asked for chipotle sauce they had a ranch or something like that available i don't particularly like ranch i remember i tried it last time you can see that in the video we published before but this time we got chipotle it's always delicious no matter where you get it even if you're at chipotle but these are cheddar you can definitely see there is a a bright orange cheddar cheese on them so let's try that this one yes they had ranch chipotle and habanero and i knew we were going to get the habanero sauce all right we made that last time though i'm not sure here we go okay i had to buy some tortillas again um these are also what i would consider like a snack right this is definitely even more snacky than that taco the snack taco this is definitely something you grab if you're driving somewhere and you just want a little something in your stomach and you can drive with this yeah don't don't drive with the top you can't drive with a hard shell taco like do we advise to not do that we advise not doing that this you can then this you can drive and eat with this at the same time yeah that's a good flavor yeah i like the chicken taste and let's see if i can get that sauce to either chipotle i just got the chipotle sauce and it does taste like a slightly spicy sauce i like this one all right we've got crispy chicken tacos again in chicago oh yeah the chipotle you can definitely see it all over there we've turned this around this is basically like a piece of piece of fried chicken like a chicken tender it's like a giant chicken tender in here yeah it's as big as my hand yeah it is big it definitely has a lot of that chipotle sauce in there but it also has a lot of this chicken i mean this is a substantial piece of chicken like a super long chicken tender also looks like we have some oh yeah that's right these are guacamole this is what's going on yeah there's some guacamole you see some tomato here and some lettuce that's good it's like that standard like a fast-food chicken patty sort of taste the chipotle sauce goes really well with this it does and the crunch is nice too it's like a fried chicken and crunch yeah it has a still has a really nice crunch honestly though i prefer the grilled chicken adele taco i could get in the chicken standard chicken soft taco the chicken roller we just had all right now we have a crunch tata yeah this looks good we actually have two two of them these are pretty heavy too do you feel how heavy this is like if you lift it out of the car and it's even still quite heavy okay here we go it feels funny picking up like a big it's sort of like the taco bell pizza mexican pizza i mean the box is a lot like that yeah i'll say that this is very amusing it's not cut you have to hold it up like one giant nacho chip i feel like when you give a seven layer dip somewhere and you get almost all the toppings on it this is what it feels like just a giant all of these foods do taste kind of snacky like you wouldn't necessarily get them all like we did but you'd get a couple that you want to snack on this is the chicken del carbone taco the street style taco taco see the single corn tortilla not two yeah okay but it definitely feels like it's pretty loaded for the size yeah it's pretty loaded with the chicken and cilantro 10 onions [Music] definitely a street style taco but i i think they have a similar uh taco like this at el pollo loco yeah that has grilled chicken in it tastes also like a street style taco i think that one has a better better street style flavor however that one is also two dollars and fifty cents which puts it well over the two dollar under two dollar menu here at del taco probably paying extra for that extra tortilla because that one has two all right here's the nachos like a white cheese right and uh some kind of green chili sauce refried beans now the tortilla chips we just got one of these to share this is a good sized portion here well it's good it's that cheese it's different from all the other cheese we have because this is more like um like that movie theater nacho cheese yeah but that's good that's what that's what you wanted nachos right let's taste it [Music] i like it yeah i like it too so is the del taco 20 under two dollar menu still worth it what do you think i think it is i think it is too i mean this was a ton of food we got for under 20 before tax and you know you're obviously not going to order all of this all at once unless you know unless we're unless we're all eating together yeah but are you going to grab a snack or something and literally you could actually get a ton of food for
