all right I've gotten some requests you know something happened didn't really talk about it but we got a diesel pusher so this is the overview video that I've seen some people uh ask for I'm gonna do it just raw because I don't want to edit it I don't feel like editing this it's just gonna be a one take um that and I left a list I made of things that go over in my truck at home wrote down a list not here so it's just going to be a One-Shot take and and get through it so if I say something wrong correct myself just uh laugh at me it's fine all right so let's talk about what I bought sorry what we bought we traded in our class a gas coach which was a 2019 Georgetown GT5 and went for this Coachman sports coach 339 DS it is new um we are the original owners it's not used it's 22 20 22. and we made a one heck of a trip to go get it because it was such a good deal so before I get into the specs and some of the things we like and dislike so I'm going to cover that I'll tell you why I went ahead and did this and it's because of that big trailer back there so the trailer is a Carson 24 foot uh racer Deluxe and it's pretty heavy just on its own it's dry weight is right at 4 000 pounds it was like 39 80 something and um with the sand rail the quad the dirt bike gas firewood you know where I'm going all the stuff floated up I'm gonna guess that we're somewhere around 7 500 pounds Maybe and the class a gas coach is they're all rated for 5 000 pounds it's not that you can't pull it the motor and transmission would have probably done fine that coach did make actually a pretty good amount of torque it's two things it was a newer coach and I'm not willing to abuse it like you know Jerry rig up the frame and weld stuff in the back and hope that I don't bend something and two is probably more importantly where I'd say equal to is the breaks never felt like you had enough Brakes in that motorhome when you're pulling a really heavy load especially going downhills sketchy is how I describe it I mean I've been driving stuff like this for years but and I can handle it but I don't like it you don't want those things to get away from you going down big steep passes Towing more than it's rated for put it that way so it was a safety concern and I didn't want to damage anything on that coach by overloading it so we looked at a lot of things I looked at Super C's I looked at um no just super season class A's that was pretty much it for diesels and why I landed on this one is the super seeds were nice but in the same price range they weren't as fancy on the inside smaller fridges smaller beds again at the same price point it's like what you were getting was a Super C and um some of them like the rebels had four-wheel drive which was cool but then I got to thinking like I like the amenities I like the more luxurious setup inside and I shouldn't be going down any Trails where I really think I need four-wheel drive and a 37 foot motorhome with a giant trailer behind it that's probably a bad idea that sounds like something I shouldn't be doing anyway so ended up sticking with this um the class a setup and couldn't be happier so far it's a beautiful coach so I'm just gonna now tell you I told you why we did it and I'm going to go over some of the things spitballing no editing messing things up what make this so much nicer than your typical Class A when you get into the diesel pushers so we'll walk around it I'm going to point those things out first and foremost you guys saw walking around it I love the full body paint of course that's going to be an option on any motorhome I Didn't Do It on the last one and absolutely should have but I'm glad now that I didn't because I would have wasted that money but fiberglass just rots in the sun it was the tan fiberglass and the other coaching already looked like heck four years later this is full body paint it's beautiful paint color scheme we loved it drove extra far to get it too um but they call it meteor it's a nice blue gold different shades of gold and then with the black and it's really just subtle they had a red version what you see is the blue here would have been red and that was just a little too loud for me and this is just I think a really pretty kind of classy color so full body paint the full aluminum doors I've always wanted full aluminum doors and you're probably gonna laugh like why but a lot of you guys know the little itty bitty doors on the classic gas and then you got a pretty big Bay inside but um the doors are annoying you know a lot of them don't stay open they just swing freely these are all on gas struts and just having the full door the opening is just so much bigger to get stuff in and out and the storage compartments are gigantic we actually had um enough stuff to not fill all the all the storage containers on this on this motorhome so I was like wow we actually had this container was empty I spread some stuff out to fill them all up so storage in the full aluminum doors just looks a heck of a lot nicer right and and you would expect that when you get a new Diesel Pusher kind of cool quick little fun fact this is a quick quick disconnect air hose um runs off the air tanks for airing up tires pretty sweet a little plus a little bonus up there um the full-size wheels and tires again when you get into a diesel pusher you're usually going to get to the 22 and a half inch wheels what that means is a much bigger tire and the more rubber on the road the more stable the more comfortable the more absorbent all the crap we have to drive over and they went ahead I didn't order this coach I was trying to get one with an MSRP deal that they already had they ordered it with like a three thousand dollar or something plus uh aluminum wheel package which I think looks awesome anyway this probably would have jumped for that if I was ordering it uh air suspension so this is on airbags all four corners but with a bonus still has hydraulic levelers air suspension makes the ride 10 times better um weight just way more stiff in a good way absorbs things a lot better than just shocks and springs and all that stuff uh why I say the hydraulic levelers are a plus is because I don't like auto air or the air leveling because if you do get you start to get stuck um with hydraulic or say you have a tire issue you can drop the hydraulic jack and lift the coach straight off the ground of course they don't recommend doing that but we all know you can do it so I like that this has airbag suspension but hydraulic levelers um what else on the outside the awning we've rarely used but it has an uh wind sensor built in which is nice they say it has a wind sensor well we'll see when we accidentally test that um and then of course on a diesel pusher this one's got a Freightliner chassis and again when it comes to driving on the road when you're driving a Class A gas you know when you get hit with a big Breeze you know 40 mile an hour gusts plus your whole coach like you're riding side saddle it like lifts it and angles you a little bit and that's what you know the other coach did with the Freightliner this big heavy duty chassis when the wind hits you and we drove out in a hellacious wind today it just kind of noses back and forth but there's no lifting there's no suspension lifting off you know one side and pushing you up and over kind of to the side so it's just a much more stable planted ride I do like a lot that both slides are on the non-camp side so before we add one and one now both slides are on the camp side which means I'm no longer knocking myself out getting stuff out of the the rear storage Bay which I hit my head on that sucker plenty of time so that's just a bonus there um it is a Cummins 340. so 340 horsepower turbo diesel um it makes oh gosh see statistic or actual text off the top of my head I think 700 and 60 foot pounds of torque I think I know it's 700 and something and it comes with where it came with an 8 000 pound hitch pre-installed but again the outside of this coach I think it's just it's beautiful um love it we just spent all day Sunday well not all day two hours washing it get your guys get you guys one of those uh soft water deals which is how we wash this you don't want to hand dry this crap when you'll probably leave swirls in the paint but get yourself a soft water system okay for the outside I think we we've covered it hopefully I didn't miss anything wait wait wait wait forgot something yesterday uh when I did the overview I forgot exhaust brake uh exhaust brake and air brakes having to do with blowing all the weight like I was talking about how much better this is and safer air brakes don't really understand them a whole lot but they're very powerful exhaust brake I love I used to have a diesel truck when I was pulling my toy hauler well you guys know and having that exhaust break going downhills it just about brings the thing to a stop without touching the brakes back to the regular scheduled video okay we're gonna move inside the coach and so you show you uh how much nicer this one is in the old one and run through some things also at the end I'm going to tell you what we don't like it because there are some things we don't like about it one thing I hate about it ah see forgot something it's a problem with not having my list I'm kicking them out of the inside and I totally forgot generator is a big bonus on this one it's up here on a front slide let me show you I know slides are common again these pushers it's not anything super fancy all the hydraulic stuff see if I can remember where it's at oh there it is releases the front nose and we've got the 6000 watt uh Onan so I'll tell you one thing a couple things that are great about this one the diesel so much quieter than the gas generator um I love that it's up at the very front before we had it underneath the couch on the old one and not only is the gas generator louder but again it just sat right underneath you while you were doing it right in the Midway in the motorhome so this one's all the way up front runs way quieter and it sips fuel it sips diesel it the other one you could tell if you use it a lot you can see it right when you started the motorhome to leave and this one is way more fuel efficient so that is a really cool plus that I forgot to talk about let's go inside so Haley loved this one for a couple of reasons one is it's all white on the inside in this farm sink so the whole kind of vibe is that Farmhouse feel um and it's nice it's a lot nicer than the typical tan or dark woods it just gives you a much brighter feel and feels Airy and spacious in here but so up front we've got the cockpit and a couple of things I love about it is that actually wraps around the driver my old one didn't and I go again I know that's common love this feature it's got a digital dash [Music] so it's going to show you everything on here and that's just slick you've got kind of an iPad setup to control everything inside radio all your hookups everything just runs up here they got a big charging station so I like that everything's digital um just again modern very cool lights around everything when the lights are on at night um here is the airbag dump so again just cool features of air suspension when you get to Camp or when you store it you flip the switch and it dumps all the air out of the airbags and lowers the coach I believe they said four inches um but it's a lot because you guys can tell because everything's dumped right now on the outside but when the airbags are full this thing is a monster now it has an absolute ton of ground clearance again a big plus for us that go off-road come out here over whoops and all that kind of stuff haven't picked it up any sand at all you haven't heard the levelers drag but it sits really high outside and uh I like that a lot so you dump those bags when you get Camp drops coach close to the ground then you drop your levelers so we've got much nicer material too everything in here is much more quality feel to it uh there's Chargers and stuff everywhere magazine slot for her we got the what they dub is a little doggy window down there at the bottom so Ryder can sit there and look out although he doesn't really care to this the shades are all a lot nicer these MCD Shades the other ones the slow rise you would yank the bottoms off because they were stapled on because they were cheap crap these are much better quality again much thicker tons of storage up front don't really ever keep anything up here except for like manuals and all that kind of stuff dig that they gave me a drawer down there to put my glasses my wallet and all that kind of all that kind of stuff too the storage is good the whole this whole rig storage between the outside and inside is massive so before I want to tell you our favorite features inside because there's one primarily and that is the inverter um the Old Coach only ran a couple of plugs off the inverter it was near useless to have this one we discovered runs absolutely everything everything but the air conditioners um so you don't have to you can run the microwave TVs the fridge fridge runs off the inverter does not it's not a gas fridge it's residential it's massive this is something we could definitely this is the size of what we use at home you could easily pack a week's worth of food in here and not have to worry about getting groceries massive fridge but just the fact that the inverter Powers everything and is so efficient is awesome because we ran the crap out of our generator in the old one because every time you want to turn something on or charge something you pretty much need to run the generator it's got a nice LG you know the residential style microwave again that's not a big deal but it's a nice microwave hard to get stoves anymore um Haley absolutely wanted to have a stove all of them were going stoveless and going with a convection microwave and this this uh coach still has the stove so she's a baker she's got to have herself a stove again it's kind of cool at night all these all these uh lights not gonna do it for you I don't know what I did light up um but I wanted to talk about that inverter so we've got extra storage or extra counter space on the top if you're cutting stuff which is cool because there's not a lot of counter space in here so um the farmhouse sink is really nice right that feels very home-like got the heavy corn on countertops it's got the Power Tower right here so this just goes flush you pull it up and you've got all kinds of plugs and Outlets to charge things and plenty of storage again everywhere still had to have the recliners the couple's recliner area right so nice fabric they're heat massage power recline all that kind of stuff lights all the Jazz kind of similar to the old one with the TV across from us um it's nice that this the diner or the Dinettes on the camp side of the motorhome before we were on the non-camp side so it's just nice when you're camping with people you want to come in here and eat dinner you can still see what's going on at Camp of course this drops down into a bed everything in here is soft clothes which is really cool again ton of storage but they have all the soft closed latches all throughout everything all the drawers the bedroom and all that kind of stuff the TVs are also extra storage spots although they're kind of not usable unless there's just soft goods up here because obviously if you drive like this it's going to be disaster so I want to make some drink holders and make this the bar storage area but I gotta fabricate little pieces of wood and stuff and make a little kind of crate thing to hold all the bottles um power bed drops down in the front so we've still got the power bunk see if I can figure that out for it give me a second got a little key right here going in the wrong way Garrett you turn the key and then you got a power bunk up and that's like a he said it's almost a queen it's it's like a full twin a twin not a full but a twin and it's good for 600 pounds they say I don't know if I want to try that out but easily two adult sleep can sleep up there it's plenty big for that um of course it has two air conditioners one front one back we tried them they work great all the speakers in the ceilings good lighting uh which we're going to turn on right now so I can show you the bedroom turn on the lights again tons of storage out here I don't think I'm really forgetting anything in the kitchen it's nice that it has a spice rack versus just storage where you had spices everywhere this has got a nice area for all your canned good spices stuff like that or Haley still has a nice separate shower and bath shower with a glass door what we had in the last one it's an all sealed shower fiberglass shower so there's you know which is a better design similar to what we have in the one before nice shower fixture sliding overhead um we've only used that once we're dirty people and a nice sized bathroom only complaint on this is when you're sitting there the door's a little close to you when it's closed but um porcelain toilet and all that and again I don't think I'm forgetting much about this stuff all right so moving on back to the bedroom this is like one area that they made a massive Improvement in uh over our old coach as far as things we were looking for and that's they made the bedroom a lot bigger so the front area feels a little bit shorter than living spacing other but minute but they made the the bedroom massive so we still have an RV King not as big as a real king bed but it's about as wide as one a little bit shorter massive space to walk around lots of drawers and storage and counter space love this area where you could sit down we both like this a lot you know to put your shoes on take your socks off I'm just hanging out getting ready in the morning you have a place to sit down and and do all that tons of uh just again storage chargers chargers little shelf place TV back here again more storage behind it opens the other way and then it's pre-set up for a washer and dryer that's what this is but it's our closet obviously if you're not going to do that but if you have the washer dryer you just drill the holes and it's pre-plumbed and ready to go for that everything getting back here little soft clothes lots of places to put all of our clothes this is a big closet for probably coats and dresses and I don't know stuff that's super tall we're just using it for like our water and I installed this little rack to hold our uh you know vacuum and brooms and stuff like that but we really like that the bedroom space is Big because when you're in your motorhome it's really only for two reasons you're sleeping or you're cooking third reason is if you're hanging out in here for a long period of time the weather's really bad outside now here we know it gets super super windy that's when you're gonna hang out inside or if it's raining but other than that you want things to be important like bedroom bathroom and shower set up and then a place to relax when you feel like being inside and eating dinner but um really like you know let me know what you guys think um of this particular setup if you like it if you don't like it um because there's only really majorly one thing I don't like and we both don't like let's go outside right and agree what do we hate about this motorhome there's one thing absolutely drives me nuts you know exactly what it is I've said it I've said it 500 times 500 times she knows what she knows what it is what is it wait so close I can feel it like water from the sky oh the drainage system of the water when it rains so the water tank is only 72 gallons she just said the drainage system which I've never talked about in my life my poor wife I put her on the spot and every time I should prep her because she doesn't do well on the spot I'll give you some prep next time I put it right she's like I know what happens you point a camera at somebody they just lock up I'm sorry honey this coach has a 72 gallon freaking water tank and it feels like five gallons that's how fast it goes and I can't stand that you know I get that when people buy these they think you're in your 60s you're planning your retirement and you're going to hit every campgrounds of America every freaking week and you're just gonna be always hooked up to cable and water and all that jazz well no okay when you guys make these put 100 gallon tank on it at least the Old Coach had 83 gallons and that did pretty well we could both take two showers on a four day weekend and still have plenty of water and still some water left over this one says I hit 72 gallons full which this one does not fill up very good meaning if you get it full as soon as you start driving it starts letting it leak out the Overflow so I've tried every which way but we go through that 72 gallons damn fast um and that just irks me man I need more water than that so I've thought about bringing extra water don't you can't get it into the coach you need a pressure system to do that I should have got a trailer with the water hookup I guess all right so that's the main thing I dislike about it we still got to use it a lot more to figure out if there's anything else but I'll tell you like as far as working out bugs and corks and things like that when you first buy a motorhome or a fifth wheel or a travel trailer and you know how that goes when you first buy when you're working out the Kinks we haven't had any we haven't had any kinks really to talk about um so so far nothing has to go in for service let's cover the trailer real quick since we're towards the end of the video it like I said it's a Carson uh racer Deluxe 24 foot box um the things I did on it were ordered with it um because I was trying to be frugal where I could is the e-track system for tying things down um runs the full length these aren't built all that great broke this just backing out the little piece of trim backing out the car today a ton of space in here though um ordered it with the spare and uh put some things in here so I ordered it with the exterior LED Camp lights which are nice and bright definitely wanted that and an inverter and a 30 amp plug so I can hook up to my generator say we just had this trailer connected to the truck and we're out camping uh we can power the power of the trailer without just sucking the juice off of the truck I did add some just pit Posse things some some strap hangers helmet hangers again on both sides five gallon gas can containers I didn't want to get a gas can on the trailer because uh one I never use all the gas and it ends up sitting in there this I can run in multiple Vehicles if I don't run out of it in Glamis there's a little fold down option you know from them a little extra workbench fluids and stuff like that firewood container I keep up front we got our smoker I put in this little two foot by six foot stainless super strong shelf and then we've got our trusty American Eagle friend in here was mounted in our old motor I'm announcing the trailer um but yeah it fits the sand rail uh her quad and my dirt bike and there's still some space to walk around in here so it was just the perfect size but I'm happy with it I always wanted an enclosed trailer to keep things out of the elements and we have one so that's it guys that is the very actually I don't think that was fast that's probably pretty long but let me know what you guys think do you like it do you dislike it do you like your fifth wheel better or your travel trailer what do you have why what's your reasons what do you want ultimately this is what we wanted ultimately or I should say me since I was a wee boy this was kind of my dream setup and so there's nothing for me to upgrade to at this point I'd like to see us keep this for many years come into older age and into retirement keep it running keep taking care of it but I love it but thank you guys I hope you enjoyed the video if I missed something and you said hey you didn't talk about this leave it in the comments ask me a question me question if you follow me on Instagram it's easier to DM me there it's faster for me to respond but comment let me know guys if you liked it otherwise catch the other Glamis videos actually coming from where we're at around this video all right catch you in the next one bye oh
