eat in a day in today's video [Music] hello everyone jennifer here and welcome to the daily connoisseur so i do intermittent fasting the 16 8 method and i'm going to be sharing what i eat in a day in today's video and i have two different days let's jump into the meals so really quickly you need to know something i do not curate these videos that should be very apparent because you go on youtube and other people have these amazing acai bowls and like really fancy vegetables and all these things i am going through a phase right now and i tell you i go through this every now and then where i don't feel like cooking so you're going to see that in today's video i mean there's like chicken burgers spaghetti so you just need to know the reason why i share this is to let you know that this is genuinely how i eat not all the time i go through phases but i do this with the 16 8 method and i am able to maintain this weight that i'm super happy with and all these other wonderful health benefits that i'm getting from intermittent fasting okay so without further ado let's jump into the first day good morning everyone the time is 9 30 a.m and i'm back to old faithful breakfast this summer which is what i have been having so much and that is let me move this around a bit it's whole fat greek yogurt with flaxseed mixed in ground flaxseed and then i have nuts on top these are pecans today and then the fruit i have here is one apricot a half of a peach and a handful of blueberries and this is what i'm having i woke up early as usual and then i had my first coffee at seven and that was a black coffee with like a teaspoon of heavy cream in it and now i'm on to my second cup of coffee and by the way for those of you who don't know this is the daily connoisseur march keep calm and remain classy so if you want that reminder in your coffee cup i will leave that link down below but anyway this is my breakfast for today and i'm loving all the summer fruits so i will see you at lunchtime it is very bright outside so i hope you can see my lunch it is 12 noon and i made these tortilla wraps so this is one flour tortilla and then a spinach sour cream dip from trader joe's that's so good it just tastes like spinach dip and then i have some deli sliced turkey breast and havarti cheese with some grey poupon juicy grape on and some spinach and that is it that's what's in this wrap and these are some baby carrots on the side so in the summer months i like to cook less and assemble more so this is a nice refreshing lunch and i'm having water to drink it's two o'clock and it's time for tea today i'm having pg tips with one sugar and some milk so nothing special but honestly this is one of my favorite cups of tea there's just something so comforting about pg tips and i made my special chocolate chip banana bread so whenever i have bananas that are over ripe i make my banana bread and i have a recipe which i'll link down below from my blog and i love this recipe it is literally the best banana bread recipe you will ever try so i made this fresh today and i'm really looking forward to it it's important to note that i didn't eat all of the wrap that was a lot so i pretty much ate one whole half of it and then the other one just a few bites but i wasn't that hungry after breakfast but now i'm looking forward to having this and i'm sure i'll have all of this banana loaf and then i am reading agatha christie's the clocks and i've read this before but i'm reading it again because again i don't know it's all about comfort for me tea time comfort and a good old-fashioned murder mystery that i love and i wanted to show you these peonies that i bought at the grocery store today so they haven't opened up yet but they will be glorious in a few days all right that's it for now and i'll see you at dinner hi everyone it's five o'clock and my nephews are over we've been swimming all afternoon which has been really nice i did not make this this is from trader joe's so i always get this when i go there but it's sog paneer which is the spinach and then this one is a fish korma which is slightly spicy on basmati rice and then i have the garlic naan bread here i love indian food love it i'm not very good at making it so i like to buy it and like i said in the summer time i don't cook as much i try to outsource things because i just want to relax but once i finish with this it'll probably be around 5 30 or so 5 20 and then i will be finished eating for the evening and i'll just have water and then all the way until tomorrow morning at 9 or 9 30 when i begin my breakfast and start all over again so that is what we had today hi everyone it's a new day and i just stepped outside to show you my lunch everyone's inside but you know what i might stay out here because it's so beautiful and peaceful okay so today was one of the days where i skipped breakfast not by choice but this morning i had to take my son to the doctor and it was like a last minute thing so i didn't get to eat breakfast and so what i had was my usual coffee at 7am with like a teaspoon of heavy cream in it and that's all i've had it is now noon and i'm quite hungry so i probably would have just had the yogurt if i did have my chance to eat breakfast because i'm back in that yogurt phase so anyway this is what we are having for lunch today i made chicken burgers for everybody they love this and i showed this in my video on what i make when i don't feel like cooking so these are the chicken burgers from costco and i have a hamburger bun and on mine i have grape out mayonnaise the chicken burger and then i have sliced onion some pickles some mixed herb you know lettuce like herb lettuce and avocado so let me lift this up to kind of show you what's going on in here i don't know if you can see and i have a little fruit salad here with kiwi plum and strawberry so this is lunch for today and i'm really looking forward to this because i'm hungry i didn't have breakfast that bird is very loud okay i'm going to decide if i'm going to stay here or not i might just be a bit cheeky and stay outside today all right i'll hopefully see you at tea time it's time for tea it's about 2 30 in the afternoon and today for tea is the plum deluxe strawberry earl grey which really requires no milk and sugar it's delicious and i made some more jam tarts so i'll leave the recipe for this in my corresponding blog post down below but they're really easy to make and this one did crumble but it will still taste just as good the jam is grape jelly so it wasn't even the most high quality jam but i know that this is still going to be very delicious so a nice little outdoor summertime alfresco tea see you at dinner hi everyone it's about 4 45 and dinner was a lot quicker than i thought so i plated mine up early and i'm going to show it to you so today um we're having marinara sauce and i told you i don't really like to cook in the summer so i make things very easy so this is angel hair pasta with the rayos marinara that's my favorite marinara sauce it's so good it's a little pricey but for jarred sauces it's the absolute best so i just have that with some parmesan cheese and then this is a southwest salad it was from a salad kit so it has chicken black beans corn and some tortilla strips in it like a southwest dressing so that's what is for dinner tonight this looks like a lot and i'll probably eat it all because i love pasta once i get started i can't stop but it is 4 45 right now so uh we will plate it up soon finish probably by 5 5 15 and then i will be done for the evening just water for the rest of the evening and that's the biggest thing for me not eating after dinner and obviously i'm going to be very full so that won't be an issue i hope that you enjoyed this intermittent fasting what i eat in a day video i think it's important for me to share days like these where you know i'm a busy mom with four kids and not everything is perfect all the time sometimes we skip breakfast because we had to go to the doctor we have to make chicken burgers and just make do with what we have right that's real life so i'm sharing that with you i hope you appreciate that sometimes i do make really fancy gourmet meals as you see from my what's for dinner videos but i'm in the summertime i just like to relax i'm really not there right now
