hello guys crisp here and welcome back to another video with this one my friends i'm going to be testing the intel iris xe graphics integrated in the i511 320h cpu in red dead redemption 2. so you can see the specs here in the screen of course the i5 here in task manager with the 16 gigabytes of ram 3200 megahertz ddr4 of course i think it's running dual channel although cpu-z actually says that it's running in quad channel uh over intact power of gpu z you can check out all of the gpu specs it's a tiger-like gt2 gpu with 96 shaders there and it doesn't have memory size because it uses ram as vram it can utilize up to 8 gigabytes and that will allow us to set the textures here in red dead redemption 2 to ultra while keeping the rest of the settings set to the lowest possible i actually set this too low or off actually before but it didn't apply for some reason every single time it just this game decides the settings for itself but anyways let's start this off at 1080p resolution and then move down to like 900p 720p maybe lower than that in the config files if i feel the need to do so and the ultra textures by the way if you're wondering they only hit your fps by one or so so you're gonna get one more fps if you set them to low and the game will look like crap basically so i i really recommend using ultra textures if you have 16 gigabytes of ram with a configuration like this one here we are so arthur is looking fantastic here on ultra textures like it it actually looks good on everything low except for the textures and uh i am seeing exactly the same fps right now as i was seeing with low textures 26 to 27 i actually thought there was more of a difference here anyways let's start counting our fps and at 1080p resolution well at least the frame rate is stable the frame time graph is completely stable there so it actually makes this not completely terrible and you know what this is a little bit surprising for intel xe graphics these are intel integrated graphics of course it's not a dedicated gpu so for it to be able to achieve these kinds of fps god damn it roach why did you do that the physics of this game by the way are completely amazing the the mud there actually deforms when you walk over it and when i fell from the horse it's it's so amazing this game is full of these little details and uh if you want a 1080p experience well i will say that this is borderline playable it's not good by any means but at least it's not a stuttery mess and uh i can see how some people would enjoy this experience honestly for example today i actually saw a comment of a guy saying that i'm a complete idiot because i think 25 fps are not playable well if you agree with that guy and think that 25 fps is very playable this is okay and honestly in a single player title like this one it could be worse sometimes it reaches 30 as well i really want to get to the centennial area i'm really far away today yeah i just want to see the fps there before we move down into like 900p resolution but yeah this is honestly a little bit surprising coming from these graphics if i was testing this game on like an intel hd 4000 or something like that even like intel uhd620 which is very popular from what you guys have told me um it would be a complete mess like the 4000 i think it doesn't even launch the game and the 620 well if it does launch the game i'm not sure if it does but it will probably get like 10 frames per second at these settings so this is a massive improvement in integrated graphic coming from intel here and i am surprised to see this this will be playable i can tell you that right now it will be playable at 720p res but all right we have arrived here in zentini and we're getting pretty much the same results as back in the jungle i thought it would do a little bit better here because it's less gpu intensive and maybe it is doing a little bit better what am i doing what did you do what what is this all right yeah it's getting 30s more often than not right now right seems to be pretty stable honestly guys and i am probably disrupting the peace of those citizens there so let's move away from here all right if you're into the 25 fps experience it's okay here we go 1600 by 900 still using the same settings didn't change anything else other than resolution of course and okay oh all right 31 it's not too bad let's start counting the frames here and i guess it's gonna be much more often into the 30s right now reaching mid 30s at times which we didn't reach at 1080p resolution this is not too bad right now i mean it might be a an xbox one kind of experience that console probably does drop into the 30s or into the 20s actually more often right so if you kept the fps using river tuner for example or the in-game v-sync option to half and you kept them to 30 i'm so sorry lady i was just trying to to formulate my sentence here in my brain while i was running over you so it doesn't count okay it was on purpose anyways if you kept it to 30 frames per second and play with the controller for example you should have a pretty good experience here in uh red dead redemption 2 at 900p resolution at this point maybe at 720p we will see like 40 plus frames per second and maybe we can actually increase a few settings at that lower resolution and make it look a little bit prettier while retaining 30 plus all of the time now this is not the most intensive area in the entire game by the way drops into the 20s did you see that 29 for a second but it's it's also not like the least intensive area it the benchmark the built-in benchmark of this game actually takes place in this town like right here basically i think that this is a good representation of what you should expect most of the time while playing this game also when you start this game for the first like two to three hours you're gonna be in a different place uh snowy area basically and um i think you will get more fps there haven't really tested it with these specs of course but at least with the other specs that i tested i found that i got more fps in that area but anyways this is pretty damn good at 900p i'm surprised that roach is not really giving me crap today or much crap today and i'm just gonna go inside of this forest deeper into it that's what she said no it's basically the same thing guys this is a much more stable and enjoyable experience than 1080p resolution and uh i actually think i could enjoy this game like this all day long playing on intel xe graphics it will set there every now and again by the way as you saw there but no it's it's not a major deal honestly it's pretty good it's probably right on par or maybe slightly faster than vega 8 integrated graphics god damn it roach of course of course you did that i was praising you today okay 1280x720 still using the same things settings things set things set things is that where settings come from like set things no it's probably like shut up chris okay let's do this now whoa what the hell is that at the left of the screen that's that's a bug there whoa that's weird okay what the hell i i don't oh boy i'm just gonna restart the game to see if that fixes it oh the game seems to have applied some taa as well god damn it man why do you change the settings i didn't tell you to change this too high like this is so weird in this game it just decides that it will enable taa oh okay so that bug is is here again maybe taa actually fixes it i don't know at this point that's so weird i've never seen that before okay let's see taa on high now 720p alright yeah it does fix it so use taa at 720p resolution i guess it will look much blurrier unfortunately unless you have a smaller panel of course uh yeah actually if you have like a 900p monitor or a 768p monitor it might not look that bad and that blurry to you although i i feel like it's way too blurry because i am running it on a 27 inch monitor so 720p at 27 inches yeah it looked pretty pixelated and now it just looks blurry because of the aaa anyways again as i told you aa doesn't really impact your fps all that much you're gonna see like what one to two more frames if you disable that and if you play with the bug at the left of of the screen it's not really that big of a deal and if you don't like the pixelated look well it's actually better to enable some a in this one and we're right around like 45 frames per second on average which is pretty damn good i actually think this is how i played this game in the sunday video that i made on the intel xe graphics um and it was quite playable guys 100 i i could enjoy the game all day long like this once again like like as long as it's 30 plus fps all of the time it's starting to blink a little bit there at the left again what uh maybe it's the rain i don't know but yeah as long as it's 30 plus i think it's a completely playable and enjoyable experience in red dead redemption too and again some people might even find 25 plus to be a completely playable experience this is a third person um single-player game after all unless you're playing with multiplayer well in that case you might want more fps honestly but yeah it is pretty enjoyable with 30 frames per second and a lot of people did enjoy this game at like 900 p with the xbox one um and 30 frames per second locked okay so lastly i want to test like low to medium settings at 720p resolution it enabled triple buffer it doesn't matter okay we're not going to reach 60 frames anyways so i kept the texture quality set to ultra and i set everything else to the balanced quality preset right there so this is it and i also disabled water physics and set these to low which were set to medium everything else is set to the preset here presets in this game are also really weird they don't give you like a low settings preset the medium settings preset they just adjust the settings the entire settings menu to what it feels like it's medium settings for this pc so it's like the the balanced preset on the 3080 ti for example will be mostly ultra settings and the balanced preset on specs like these will be mostly medium settings or low to medium basically and look at that guys we're getting almost the same fps that's super impressive although this is not really a demanding area it's basically a plain field so let's just get to the demanding trees right here roach how do i even do that i i suck so much oh i'm seeing some weird things once again at the left of the screen sometimes anyways dropping into the 30s it's looking better way better guys like it's still soft because 720p resolution but i mean there is ambient occlusion the shadows look way better oh look at that once again what the hell that's so weird also the the water has ripples now it's not like stagnant water anymore basically yeah i i like this honestly i would probably choose these settings but unfortunately we got that little problem there at the left sometimes at this point i will attribute default to like the drivers probably not being like polished here in intel gpus i really hope that the drivers are very polished whenever they come out with the arc stuff you know the dedicated gpus from intel yeah i really don't want to see like a 5700 xt scandal again that was pretty bad in terms of drivers although i didn't have any problems with my 5700 xt at the time anyways look at the water puddles in the ground they reflect the sky pretty well i think that's been it very surprising once again that we can get 30 plus all of the time at these settings game looks great if you can lock it to 30 frames per second play with the controller and you'll have an xbox one slash ps4 like experience with a little bit less uh gorgeous graphics but they're still gorgeous a little bit aside from the bezel instead and a little bit of a lower resolution as well so thank you very much for watching this video hope it was informative and helpful to you let me know down in the comments what you would like to see next tested in the intel xc graphics here and i'll catch you guys very soon tomorrow as always love you all bye bye
