today we will cover how to pass through your Intel integrated GPU to a virtual machine in proxmox I will guide you through the configuration step by step from your proxmox interface select your proxmox node and then choose the shell option from the menu step one edit the grub file using the Nano text editor comment out the line is indicated in the text box and then add the new line you can copy the new line from the video description find finally save and quit the text editor ensure that your file looks exactly like the one on the screen step to consists of updating grub to use the new parameter from step one wait until you see the message done to continue with step three ensure that you don't receive any error messages step three we will update the file modules to add a few lines you will find all the module lines to add in the video description once completed save and exit the text editor step four four the step involves configuring the IU by editing the interrupts file and adding one line which you can copy from the description once completed exit and save the file the second part is to edit the cbmm file by adding another line also available in the description step five involves defining The Blacklist for GPU drivers by adding all for lines provided in the description once completed save and quit the text editor step six involves finding the address of your GPU by executing a command line scroll up the text on your screen and search for your integrated GPU here you can see one of my gpus we will continue to look for the integrated one now we can see the integrated GPU with the address too now execute the command line with the integrated GPU address in my example is two take note of your GPU address as indicated by the arrow pointing down now we will edit the vfio file to add the integrated GPU address we need to add the address that you noted assigned to your integrated GPU you can see here that I also have my other GPU with the audio address in my case I'm able to pass through both gpus execute the command to update the system and validate that you don't have any error message to continue with the next step when completed reboot the server to activate all the configurations we will go over all parameters to pass through your integrated GPU select your VM in my example the VM number 200 is that one with the integrated GPU pass through by clicking on the hardware menu we can see that the integrated GPU with the addressed to is present in the configuration here the configuration I selected primary GPU but I didn't check the two options all functions in PCI Express I will now show you the difference configuration for my other GPU by selecting the VM number 120 and click on the hardware menu we can see that a GPU is assigned to the VM this is different I checked all option including all functions to include the audio card and PCI Express options by utilizing remote desktop we will be able to access and execute your virtual machine beginning with the one featuring integrated GPU pass through we will use device manager to verify if the Intel integrated GPU is properly passed through to Windows and functioning correctly to optimize your GPU performance you may need to install the latest drivers we will now proceed to validate the other virtual machine for the additional GPU once again again using device manager we will verify the proper functionality of the GPU Additionally you may need to install the latest drivers for Optimal Performance this concludes the tutorial for passing through your integrated GPU in a virtual machine I hope this was helpful
