[Music] it's snowing out and you know what that means time to cook some comfort food that's exactly why I have this wonderful instant pot pressure cooker and we're going to make some mac and cheese today and it's going to take 10 minutes to make what would normally take I don't know about a good hour tastes just as creamy just as homemade just as delicious let's go shall we so I've taken this recipe from Bob Warden slow food fast which is basically this great pressure cooker recipe book here are the ingredients you need it's two steps here's the first part we have two cups of chicken stock chicken broth or chicken base a cup of water 2 tbspoon of butter which is a/4 of a stick some Parmesan cheese back there it's a tablespoon and 2 and 1/2 cups of macaroni of your choice or a pasta I'm using celentani I think it's uh it's fun it's perfect it's like a macaroni but with extra curls and we assemble as follows dump the pasta dump the chicken bro dump the [Music] water add the butter and of course at the parmesan and you could Stir It Up a little bit give it a little nice stir in there so everything is nice and coated we want to make sure all the macaroni or the pasta is covered nice and evenly for the most part by all the water to make sure this entire puppy cooks and Cooks evenly okay so so now I put the lid on the pressure cooker just like this you want to make sure this is in Seal in position so it keeps the Steam and traps it in there I'm simply going to put this on high pressure and only for 6 minutes in 10 seconds is going to start setting and it's going to start pressurizing it takes about a few minutes for that and then from there it'll be 6 minutes and then literally I just add the cheese and it's finished and it's amazing it's starting it's on let's check back when it's finished a look at the snow accumulating speaking of the chicken Stocker broth what I use is is better than buan and it stuff is amazing cuz you just use one teaspoon to one cup of water and that equals one cup of chicken broth or stock or whatever saves a ton of money this thing makes about like I don't know probably a hundred Worth or so maybe less um but it's a lot cheaper than buying a whole box of chicken stock and broth which a lot of the time you then keep in your fridge like I don't really need to use this for anything lately and he just sold it out anyway so this thing is like five bucks as opposed to paying you know $2 for four cups worth get it better than buan they should be paying me for this you know [Music] it's done now comes the fun part so what that means now is we go to the little vent here and very carefully we turn it this and release all the steam do that okay it's hard to capture camer but all the steam is getting released and that's going to take about a couple minutes and when that's done you open the lid don't open the lid now because um you might as well just explode the place blow it up because it's a bomb otherwise so the release is almost finished because the steam sound is completely fading away and that little metal piece right there is about to fall down and when that happens it means all the basically all the steam is completely been released and it's safe to open Don't there we go it's like a reverse it's like a reverse turkey being done in The Money Pit so now we're safe to open that's our warning sign and our our signal to [Music] open okay look at this pasta it's already cooked it's all cooked it's completely cooked up perfect now it it's you know got the water and all that stuff ran up which is completely great because you know why we're about to add our cheese so the cheese steps it's two simple things it's two cups of any cheese of your choice shredded you can buy a bag of two cup cheddar cheese mild sharp colby jack whatever you want I had goua lying around so I shredded guda myself you don't have to do that at all you can just buy a bag of two cups worth of any kind of cheese you like then you'll mix that with 2 O of uh cream cheese which uh you know you get the blocks of 8 oz and that will make it really thick and delicious so first things first we're going to add this delicious cheese right there get all it in there and then mix it with the cream cheese simple as that really and then I'm sorry my cam work is terrible with this just stir you just stir mix it all up in there get it all good and then I'm going to show you what it looks like in 2 seconds after I'm done stirring for an extra kick I like to add a teaspoon of musard right it to there m you don't have to do this but I feel like it adds so much to it as well and then the sauce is going to start to thicken after a few seconds and look at how rich and creamy that's getting m M creamy mac and cheese so there's some right there because I only put a little to the Bowl because that alone is 5,000 calories and let's see how it tastes look at that like creamy guda Heaven there you have it 10-minute mac and cheese pressure cooker Bob warden's recipe not mine just my personality put to the table on this one M have a have a piece let's put some of the leftovers in this little Ikea Tupperware bow look at how deliciously creamy this is absolutely fantastic
