INSANELY HUGE 41ft Jayco Eagle RV! 340DROK

what's going on guys so today i am out here at ron hoover rv and marine in corpus christi texas and boy do i have a big rv for you to look at today this thing is simply enormous and if you saw the video where i was testing out the shoreline scale with the fifth wheels and it wasn't really working well and we were trying to figure out how much tongue weight a travel trailer would put on it just to see if it would work well this is the actual unit we tested this thing is enormous and it's also heavy has quite a bit of tongue weight and there's a lot to look at so hang tight i'll be right back [Music] okay before we get started let's take a look at the numbers on this jayco travel trailer so this is going to have a gross vehicle weight rating of 12 825 pounds it's going to have a cargo capacity of 1164 pounds relatively light cargo capacity which means even in a dry configuration you're talking about a trailer that's over 11 000 pounds so this is definitely something i would tow behind really a one ton single rear wheel or dually pickup truck it has 5800 pound axles this unit is probably close to 38 feet long it is very very tall for a travel trailer i mean you can just kind of compare it right here to this unit it is significantly higher to give you kind of a point of reference the top of the slides here are taller than this travel trailer's roof so this thing is absolutely enormous and coming back this rides on e-rated tires this is kind of the type of travel trailer that i would probably upgrade to a g-rated tire maybe a 16-inch wheel and do some suspension modifications you know once we take a look at the suspension on here we'll see what it looks like and see if that's actually needed but yeah this is definitely a beast definitely something i wouldn't even consider towing behind a half ton and there are even a lot of three-quarter ton trucks that really can't handle the weight of this well in a dry configuration this is going to have about 1400 to 1500 pounds worth of tongue weight that's a lot of payload that's loaded onto the back your truck before you've loaded anything into this unit including your batteries and propane which are going to account for another couple hundred pounds and the hitch on the back your vehicle and all of that you're going to want a truck that probably has anywhere between 2500 to 3000 pounds worth of payload capacity to tow something like this anyways let's take a closer look at some of the features first of all this has the auto leveling system from lci smart jack up front along with auto leveling jacks all the way around dual propane cans it's got this really cool storage area up front you put a generator or something else here but you can also mount your batteries in here has a beautiful front cap to it that fiberglass front cap looks absolutely stunning and if you're looking at a high-end travel trailer it definitely gives you that look from the outside it already has the furion side view camera wiring in place so you basically can add your fury on side view camera so you can kind of have that side and rear view very heavy baggage doors not the thickest but they are very heavy and they have some nice slam latches on them as well you have a very fifth wheel style wet bay right here which is also very nice and very nicely trimmed off port you can change between your hot water heater bypass right here your wet panels right here and you have your pass through right here plus all your holding tank levers you have an access panel here to service something on the other side motion detection lighting huge pass-through storage very tall because you don't have a frame coming up into it plus aluminum bath deck with radiant barrier up here again nice slam latches looking underneath you have a 12 inch i-beam frame and here's part of your ground control leveling system rack and pinion slide back here right here is going to be storage into the bedroom underneath the bed very nice that's just part of the storage there's actually more storage under the bed once we get inside coming back this way this is going to be your black tank flush where you basically hook a hose up sprays a little sprayer inside your black tank to help clean it out this slide back here is a cable driven slide but it's a relatively small slide so that's a good thing right here another heavy baggage door this is really cool because you have your ability to service the back of your residential refrigerator very easily coming back this way this is going to be the outside of your furnace 50 amp connection here let's take a look at your suspension setup so this is going to have goodyear endurance tires which is standard pretty much on all jayco units e-rated tires you also have the moride cree 3000 suspension equalizer already installed on this unit so that's a nice upgrade you probably don't have to do much in terms of the equalizer but again i kind of would recommend going to a slightly higher load rated tire maybe an f at least if you're looking at the goodyear endurance or even a g if you can find one that'll fit it another rack and pinion slide back here and then back here is going to be interesting so you have another storage area which means there's likely going to be two bedrooms in this unit coming around this way you have your sewer connections down here on the back you can see all led lighting nice led light up there plus it is wired for fury on wireless backup camera and you do have a full walk-on roof with ladder already installed plus a two by two inch receiver back here this is not rated for towing so you don't want to use it for that you want to use it for like a cargo holder stuff like that this is going to be the outside of your water heater and this is going to be a small outside kitchen area this is on a much thicker baggage door which is nice might have been even nicer if they use slam latches here you have a compact refrigerator plus you have a nice little cooktop that you can pull out right here plus some power very cool coming around here you have two big awnings you have an awning back here that's going to cover up this area especially if you're outside cooking then you have a longer awning up there this unit does not have frameless windows which actually kind of surprises me now again i'm not too worried about frameless versus framed in terms of function because a lot of people consider these to be better for cross ventilation however typically on these higher end units you see frameless windows and then on this side of the storage you have your power disconnect they give you a little tire pressure gauge right here you have your inverter up here again a lot of storage especially considering there's no drop frame on this unit and then you have a cable power connection out here if you want to set a tv or something it would have been nice if they maybe put a bracket over here so you can mount a tv on it this does have the morryde step above steps let's take a look inside of this jayco eagle 340drok and you can see right there go power solar already installed on this unit i like the fact that they put a nice friction hinge right here which is also really nice so basically the wind's not going to blow this door around very much you can see that the dry weight of this unit is 11 661 pounds crazy the overall length of this check this out i thought 38 41 feet 2 inches long that's crazy 41 feet and two inches long this is longer than a lot of fifth wheels this is actually the same size as many of your larger fifth wheels that is just absolutely crazy this thing is huge okay so we'll take a look over there in a second we're going to start here in the kitchen and living room space very interesting because this space feels very toy hauler like because you have this really really long sofa one two three four five seats and you could probably even see more than that and i believe they all recline so this huge sofa right here you have this angled kind of cornered tv i don't know how i feel about that but you know it's definitely viewable from any of the seats you have a good size island with these really cool power ports right here for usb and standard plugs whirlpool residential refrigerator installed as well as a three burner this looks to be a furion gas cooktop with oven and a nice high point residential microwave love the contrasting tones absolutely love it when they do the you know the lighter tones next to the darker tones and if i'm correct has the slow closing drawers also something you really don't see on travel trailers so that's nice taking a look at the price on this unit this has an msrp of 78 291 dollars and a sale price of fifty nine thousand nine ninety nine this is absolutely for those folks who might normally get a fifth wheel but they want a travel trailer because of the truck that they currently have or it's just gonna fit their lifestyle better because the pricing on this is very similar to what you might expect to pay for a fifth wheel in the same configuration huge pantry space i love the rails on the side so you can adjust the heights of these shelves that's really cool that should almost be standard on all units so you have a 50 inch tv already installed nice sound bar from jbl kind of a sound bar you have separate speakers and then a controller in the center 34 inch wide furion panoramic fireplace beautiful cabinetry above i even like the fixtures here above the island really nice you have some nice drawers here as well in the kitchen slow closing drawers and just a tremendous amount of space underneath the kitchen island which is really nice plus another cabinet down here coming back this way let's work our way from the front to the back so first of all here is your control panel here which is really nice this controls your slides turns on the lights it controls pretty much everything inside and it's wirelessly connected to all of the switches which is also really cool coming into the bedroom check this out so let me lower the bed before we do that you can kind of see the space underneath it that i was talking about on the other side of that little piece of wood there is that outside storage compartment but this is the inner portion of it trimmed off very nice on nice strut arms okay i've lowered the bed down this is a looks to be a queen size bed very tall slide heights i mean the ceiling in here feels like you're in a fifth wheel that's how tall it is it's probably seven and a half almost eight feet tall in terms of the overall height so this is a very tall travel trailer and this is definitely going to be better for taller folks who are looking for that extra height they might need check all this out this is just beautifully trimmed off tons and tons of space so this goes back about three feet roughly plus you have shelves in the back more space up top and here that is really cool so you got all these drawers in here check this out it's just a tremendous amount of space and then more storage on that side and another cabinet up top plus you have your solar controller right there and i do not know specifically what the solar rating is on the system in here you have a really cool pull out drawer right here as well check that out look how far it comes out it's like three feet out that is kind of crazy so you could kind of use that as an ironing board maybe or a desk very very unique as we work our way around you can see you have some more wardrobe space here you have your tv mounted more cabinetry above plus really nice balances nice neutral in tone this is a super cool floor plan and then you have a half bath right here so you have a lot of countertop space nice size mirror and i believe that's a medicine cabinet yep has a really really strong magnetic hold there on this side you have your toilet which is a porcelain toilet a little towel rod and you have a vent above but it is a pass-through bathroom you might call it kind of a jack and jill bathroom but there's no bedroom on this side so probably not coming around this way nice good sized window here that's a huge window plus some windows on the ends usb ports here next to the sofa one on each side there's no carpet in this unit at all either so now this is technically the master bedroom king-size bed plenty of room on each side i really like the nightstands they don't come out too far over the bed and you have some space on the front of it plus you have plugs right below it you have a switch right there to turn lights on and such very nice height to the slides very very cool setup right here check out all this wardrobe space here at the end plus you have this really nice shelf here as well as additional wardrobe space over here and over here now one thing i want to check on real quick before i go any further is this actually a place for a washer and dryer because if it is i didn't see it but it's very deep it's deep enough to be and on this side okay so the dryer vent would go right here so it does have a dryer vent connection but what i'm looking for is the water connection and i just don't see it so if you're going to put a washer and dryer in here i don't know how you would plumb water into this because there's not any connections in here for it either so that is interesting wondering if you might have to specifically prep it for a washer and dryer connection anyways back into the main master bedroom underneath this bed you'll also see additional storage you can see the box for the tv your power cord your sprayer hose and your dinette table are all in here and the dinette table essentially plugs into those legs which would sit in front of the sofa right here okay let's work our way into the bathroom so this is going to be the full bathroom you have your large medicine cabinet there a lot of countertop space ton of countertop space right here under mount sink which looks really nice a little towel rod over here plus your light switches these are not going to be wireless light switches by the way nice backsplash right here huge huge countertop plus a really nice cornered kind of a pantry in here for your toiletries toilet paper towels and such and then you have another one right here so not only do you have a large medicine cabinet you have another cabinet here and then you have more cabinets right here plenty of space around this toilet this is a good good size bathroom area again a porcelain foot flush toilet has a good size shower stall in here plenty of height so even if you're inside of the shower you probably still have seven feet of space so this unit is going to be really ideal for taller folks who are looking for that extra head room they might need let's count the ac unit so we have one whisper quiet ac unit in the bedroom which is really cool to see you have a second one right here and that's it so it's got two ac units i'm gonna guess that this probably has like 175 watt solar system installed in it have to definitely check with them anyways guys what are your thoughts on this unit this thing is enormous there's a lot to like about it and if you're a large family or you simply want better sleeping accommodations for the kids as opposed to your traditional bunk you know this has a queen-size bed in the front and a king-size bed in the back definitely suitable for families and of course you could kind of use this for a sleeping area as well anyways i'd love to know your
