Crazy Compact and fully equipped Winnebago Micro Minnie 1708FB RV

what's going on guys so today we are out here at explore usa rv super center in corpus christi texas and we're gonna take a look at something a little different this is the insanely small winnebago micro mini travel trailer and when i say insanely small it almost looks like they took a compact travel trailer and chopped off six feet of it made it even smaller you know i'm right next to this winnebago micro mini right here which is still a super compact travel trailer but i'm simply just going to pan around and you can see how much smaller this thing is overall length of this unit's about 20 feet long the body of it's about 17 feet long this thing is super super tiny we're going to spend some time taking a look at it hang tight i'll be right back all right before we go any further let's take a look at the numbers on this unit so this is going to have a gross vehicle weight rating of 5 000 pounds it's going to have a cargo capacity of 1440 pounds it's going to ride on 15-inch tires c-rated so this specific unit is easily half ton towable with right half ton truck you know it's about a thousand pounds less than what i consider to kind of be the perfect towing weight for a half ton um but you still want to be sure that your specific half ton has the capacity to tow this i hate to say it there are some that don't believe it or not but the vast majority of half-ton trucks on the road could tow this thing without any problem at all and it is good to know that you know if you want something like this you're appropriately able to tow it with a half ton or most of your mid-size full-size suvs as long as you have the tow capacity and the payload capacity which again most of them are gonna for this but you're gonna wanna research yours specifically anyways let's take a look inside of this travel trailer and then we'll come back outside and see what's going on out here does have the front electric tongue jack has nice electric stabilizers around it i like these goodyear wrangler tires on it that is super nice they're putting some really really high-end tires on travel trailers these days you can see your stabilizer controls here let's hop inside of this winnebago micro mini 1708 fb love that azdel panels these are all composite panels which means technically you shouldn't have any problems with delamination wood rot things like that on the skin themselves all right let's walk inside so this is gonna be a really small unit so keep that in mind it's not gonna be a really long interior tour but let me pan around real quick so you can kind of take in what this unit's all about so right off the bat you can tell there's no slides right everything's kind of close together but it still feels nice and airy it still feels like you have some space in between the kitchen and the dinette you have about two and a half feet of space so you can squeeze through it's definitely more room than a lot of other rvs that don't have any slides cabinets are really nice this almost reminds me of like a budget black series i mean it's just really cool tons of cabinets cabinets above the bed queen size bed you have two large windows on each side i do wish they would have put the day night roller shades on here and not just the pleated blinds just because sometimes you want to block the interior out and you wouldn't really be able to do that here nice front contrasting wall board you have a little shelf here at the end of the bed as well very very cool and just a really nice setup i mean this is a perfect setup for a couple who just wants to get out for the weekend maybe take it out to the beach and have a really fun rv trip with not a huge rv behind you this is going to have a dometic 12-volt refrigerator really really nice looking refrigerator and it's a good size i mean this has to be the largest 12-volt refrigerator i've seen in a unit of this size ever nice cooktop surface here three burner that is a huge huge cooktop for such a compact travel trailer and then a little towel holder right there you got some more drawers underneath oh there is your fuse and breaker panel you got storage underneath both of your dinette seats and this can convert into a bed so if you have a little one that you bring with you you have a little bit of space right there nice stainless steel sink basin in here nice high gloss backsplash to your cooking area you have a nice convection microwave so that is really cool this actually has a convection microwave it is a compact microwave which isn't surprising but it is convection stainless steel big cabinet space in here as well then here at the end more cabinet space i mean if there's one thing the folks at winnebago do very very well it's give you just about every conceivable area as space here's your controls to extend your awning your tank gas electric water your lighting all of that you have your kind of sound system entertainment center right here plus you have a nice insignia tv that's hanging on the wall in the restroom nice cornered shower stall i do like that they put a surround on it sometimes you just get a wall and you don't have any type of plastic shower separator which is nice you have an area for your shower curtain to hang up here it's not the largest shower but it is a full bathroom and one thing that's different and you may not notice this right off the bat but the fact they actually give you a sink in the bathroom on an rv this small a lot of times they don't put a sink in the bathroom because they want to maximize the size of your shower but in the case of this unit it's not the largest shower but they were able to cram a porcelain foot flush toilet a shower and a sink vanity with some nice countertop space and a medicine cabinet in a space that typically would only have a toilet and a shower so this is a step up from like a wet bath but multiple steps up in terms of functionality versus some compact trailers that don't really give you much in terms of a bathroom space so i gotta give this bathroom a big thumbs up honestly that's really nice there's your air conditioning unit up here it's just gonna be a single 8000 btu air conditioning unit to cool everything in here it's not ducted because it really doesn't need to be ducted one thing i forgot to point out is i like the fact that they have a curtain to separate this area from this area up here which is really nice at night sometimes you want that extra privacy i love the valances it actually has some really nice balances and what's most shocking about this rv is the fact that you get all of this in such a compact package that's kind of the the thing that makes this thing really stand out is all the amenities the size of the refrigerator the size of the stove the stainless steel large base in the convection microwave you know plus the porcelain foot flush toilet a sink inside there nice balances you get a lot of this stuff in a compact unit that you typically wouldn't really expect to get i mean most other brands you see me walk through you don't really see those types of amenities and it's pretty cool to see it on on this unit and this unit's going to have about a 38 thousand dollar msrp and the actual sale price on this unit is going to be closer to 30 thousand dollars so it's actually a relatively good price considering how rv prices have gone up and you know you get quite a bit for your money if you're willing to sacrifice some of the space let's take a look outside of this unit and see what the outside is all about all right so starting from the front you see you have a power front tongue jack another nice feature on a unit this small twin 30 pound propane cans which is really nice you got a lot of propane capability this rides on a bal frame instead of your traditional lci frame up here nice thick baggage doors something you typically don't see on a unit this size huge pass-through storage check that out this is absolutely insane how much storage you get in this unit nice slam latches as well stabilizer jack controls 120 outlet nice cable connection right there again the goodyear wrangler tires which are really really insane to see on a small travel trailer this has torsion suspension on it as well so it's not your typical leaf sprung suspension plus at this weight to give you dual axles on a trailer this size is pretty dang nice another really really nice thing that you just don't expect to see on a trailer this small nice four inch bumper in the back you can throw your sewer hose in there if you want has a two inch receiver on it as well for accessories bicycles things like that they throw a spare westlake tire on the back so that's kind of interesting they give you wranglers as your main tires but your spare is a west lake tire all led lighting and it is wired for a voyager y site wireless backup camera coming around this way you have your sewer connections right here outside shower this is gonna be your tank flush for your black tank very very cool over here is your 30 amp connection park cable satellite hookup you can have both your tank fill as well as your city water connections right here the outside of your furnace outside your water heater the other side of your storage again nice thick baggage door nice slam latch on it as well this is gonna be a solar connector so you can plug in solar panels and keep the house battery maintained and i like how they give you access to your water pump back here as well and behind your furnace so that's really cool so your water heater has access behind it through a panel that's open so you have the ability to kind of see everything that's going on there that's your water pump right there and then your actual water heaters under here you have a nice battery disconnect switch up here as well basically gives you the ability to prevent a parasitic draw on the unit whenever it's in storage and you're not using it so you're not drawing off the battery because of all the little things that could constantly be pulling a small little pull and ultimately you come out here and your jack won't work because your battery's dead very very cool though i really really like this compact travel trailer this is super cool and this is something that i could see us getting as kind of a lower cost alternative to something like a black series so you know you can get something like this take it out for the weekend take it out to the beach and just have a really good time with a unit that's built well has a lot of great features and amenities and is somewhat affordable so it's always good things to consider anyways guys leave a comment below i'd love to know what your thoughts are on this winnebago micro
