other favorites I can't wait to get this one started so let's get our Hakata food on only a 2-hour flight from Tokyo I'm going all in at this mustt travel Japan food destination know for its Rich traditional flavors hearty dishes inspired by its deep street food culture it's truly a dynamic Cuisine all of its own and yeah I'm going to take you to some y hitters throw down on a Hakata creamy pork Ramen demolish some scrumptious iron pan fried goza and I'm not stopping there so buckle up strap in and hold on to your chopsticks cuz we're going on a food Adventure so you haven't truly experienced AATA if you've never been to yatai AKA a mobile food stall there are 100 5 stalls in the area and fukoka is the only city in Japan where it's thriving as their local regulations permit and support this unique food culture hence you don't really see it in cities like Tokyo now with so many to choose from let me take you to some that are guaranteed hitters number one takach Chan all right so we are going to do some yatai it's a little bit dark I don't know if the picture quality is going to be so good but I definitely had to take you here so let's go inside this family-owned yatai has been in business for for more than 40 years at this exact same spot just by teni station it has this warm and biting Vibe as if you were eating at your favorite uncle's house and it's sure to satisfy any hunger after a long day of travel if you don't know what to order the shop is more than happy to walk you through the dishes as they're super nice they've even a QR code that will direct you to their menu translated in over a 100 languages seriously it's an easy yetti spot for first timers now that I've got my beer let's start with a sauté dish garlic sprouts and oval Tepanyaki beautiful bad [Music] boy has a nice savoriness lots of lots of flavor it is like perfect drinking food I believe it has three different intestin parts with all different textures which makes it an even more interesting dish it's delicious hi check this out we got some wagu right here we're in a freaking outdoor food stall and we got this fresh wagu can it get better than this lemon on here so and then throw some us Kos show on there that tenderness that I've known and come to love about wagu that is cooked so well and then I put that lemon on top just to get a extra flavor brings out all of the oils I couldn't ask for anything more and of course they had y Tha Staples like Odin now the finale Yaki Ramen AKA that pan fried Ramen good good they actually use their own tonku soup when they Grill it many yti spots offer this item but each has a different style and here they make it like yui SOA all right so check this out you all heard of ramen for this is a Yaki Ramen W it smells a so good have a bite wow I love it it's like the Hakata style thin hard noodles savoriness and that sweetness allinone that is so addictive I just want to eat more and more and it has gr pieces of meat as well this is a must order number two yatai kg all right this is the second round of yatai for the night wanted to show you this place because because it just looks like a real restaurant but it's outdoors outside and it's pretty awesome let's go are you taking daddy's job located at the intersection of K this yti spot has been a local favorite since 1991 the current owner is the second generation who took over the business from his uncle 8 years ago he's a former French stf and a shrine Carpenter in fact he rebuilt the push cart using his woodworking skills to produce a one-of-a-kind Shrine themed mobile food stall now let's start with a drink look at how big this high ball is so basically you you order your drink and if it's like a high ball or whatever they actually serve it in a dome booty Bowl No Cap this is the best part of Y getting to know the locals that has a great texture gizzard bell peppers bean sprouts are sauteed in an oyster sauce which gives it a slight sweetness while being perfectly Savory at the same time and I love the crunchy texture of the vegetables as well I also ordered an assortment of smoked dishes a which is a stingray fin that you actually grill right in front of you and three kinds of Robata Yaki it's beautiful to experience the chef works so quickly and efficiently all by himself without missing a beat to entertain and engage his customers the air filled with an unmistakable charcoal Aroma combined with its customer laughter is truly an unforgettable EXP experience we're finishing off this y journey with a shop signature Hakata Ramen the recipe was passed down to the owner from his uncle so it remains unchanged over the years the soup is made with a 73 ratio of pork bone and chicken bone it's broiled with vegetables then rested overnight later excess fat is removed from the broth to produce a light but Umami rich flavor this y Tha Adventure wouldn't be complete if I didn't have some got ramen just a traditional style have some chashu some scallion Benny you can never go wrong with this oh the noodles are perfect that's and a little bit hard the pork soup is so delicious let's try some of this chachu this is so good finally satuma black pork chashu is thinly slice and Char Bo to Perfection to add another layer of mouthwatering Joy to the dish then you have this creamy soup that is a trademark unbeatable undeniable pork Oh and if you're into spicy his tonon men is also insanely good if you don't know what y TI to go to then definitely try the ones I recommend today you will not be disappointed number three little Stan Dao so this spot has been around for almost 10 years now it's called a little stand but the taste there's not nothing little about it let me show you this spot is a small local coffee shop run by a married couple located in Dao and muromi today I'm showing you their Dao shop managed by the husband while the other shop is managed by the wife their coffee alone is very popular but today I've got a little bit of a sweet tooth so you know how I do [Music] so we got their body choco a chocolate flavored drink and their body hoji cha hoji te flavored drink all of these drinks are topped with the same flavored cream as a drink itself and I order their cream onii which means extra cream got the choco version right here this is phenomenal it has that chocolate on chocolate going on looks so [Music] good that is rich chocolate taste but is quite smooth tast this cream it's a thick kind of like mousy taste man this cream is so thick it's almost kind of like ice cream that is unable look at that wow so Michael got the hicha how is it it was so good there was just the perfect amount of bitterness and Sweetness in the drink itself while the whipped cream has a more subtle sweetness which is Rich with a weight to it but also has a fluffy texture just like the chocolate drink got one of their waffles right here supposed to eat it with a cream I'm just going to dip it like [Music] that that is quite sweet the waffle had caramel inside so it's often paired with a hot latte so now it's time to have ice cream sandwich for the waffle ice cream sandwiches you can also choose from choco chai and hoi tea these waffle cones kind of have caramel syrup in the middle and then I think it has a little bit of a cinnamon in it as well delicious vanilla ice cream almost feels like Christmas beautiful day beautiful dessert what else can you ask for tea Dump Dump Dump Dum a dump so we're finally walking around the sun is out it's been kind of like a spotty weather this trip but you know nonetheless been pretty nice this area kind of feels like huk almost pretty interesting so Dao is known to be a younger fashioned area kind of like huku in Tokyo you'll find vintage shops International Brands and trendy food spots it also has its own Shrine hey so before we continue on I want to give a quick shout out to the sponsor of this video Squarespace if you all don't already number four tetsu na all right so I'm in front of this restaurant right now it is super rating so we're just going to go inside and let me show you some wonderful guza crispy bite-sized guza are a popular local Hakata food usually eaten while drinking a cold one with friends this particular shop itself started as a yti sand in 1963 and over time moved to various locations and growing enough in popularity to set up a shop in a building but their same exact recipe has been maintained over the years it's a must try if you love GZA and y'all know I do nowadays in addition to guza the shop also serves various dishes so it's more of an eaka drinking restaurant than a simple guoa restaurant okay so we got the guoa look at that so I love how it comes in this iron pan just fresh and hot straight from the stove got their special sauce right here GZA and then we'll take some of this spicy sauce right here and then mix this all around now we got our sauce prepared get that there [Music] bite M it's so good it has like a nice crispy outer shell yoa skin is no it's not like really thin but it has like some thickness to it but not like super super thick it allows you to get that really crispy outside shell also what's nice is that it's it's quite light not oily at all probably going to eat this whole entire one tray to myself actually meat inside it's quite interesting so it has pork in here cabbage leaks onions and it goes well with this T sauce that has that nice vinegary hint to it chilies gives it that nice cake that you always want wow you just like take one bite and then you just want to eat some more this is why I wanted to take you guys to this place because they just have an interesting yoza stuff that I don't usually get to have in Tokyo but that said let me take you to the next spot number five Hakata ISO this is a specialty Tatu ramen shop that has it own unique take on it let me take you inside and show you this spot is known for the tonkotsu cappuccino Ramen oh that sounds good already a foamy and creamy style pork soup that is so addictive that there's always a long line at the door they have three shops in Hakata and I'm visiting their original location on the east side of Hakata station this is actually part of what we do because don't see this but we are waiting in line for a lot of the videos hey [Music] look at this this is amazing so basically they have a basic one but I got the one with all the toppings and it's 1,200 Yen that's like less than 10 bucks for all of this has two slices of chachu Fons seasoned egg Woodyear mushrooms and a healthy amount of that seaweed I'm so excited wow there's like so much Umami it has a subtle sweetness to it as well such a strong fro it also has kind of like a a thickness like a stickiness to it so that when you eat the noodles it just wraps around and hugs and clings to all the noodles their Ultra unique kutu cappuccino soup is made with Japanese baby pork boiled in the three pots all using a separate technique and then the three pots are blended into their secret golden ratio that the owner has perfected over the [Music] years you cannot go wrong with these thin harder noodles I selected to go for like the harder type they can get it medium or soft their noodles are specifically crafted with a higher water content to create a plump and smoother texture even when it's hard and slightly flattened to better soak up their creamy soup it has such an interesting like a deli crunch to it ooh look at these eggs it's cooked perfectly you can see just the way I like it you know a little bit cooked but also kind of soft on the inside still that is soft and creamy that broth has just like infiltrated that egg so well look at these huge pieces of Chu [Music] here much tender as can be the thing this Ramen is so good you even have all these like side toppings so you can add garlic ginger you can add some chakana here it all depends if you want to I mean I'm just enjoying this Ramen has this I don't even have to add anything to it and I can't stress enough come early as there's already a line before it opens at 11 I just killed it worth coming here let's go check out the next spot and number six Papa's puff stand heard of afro puffs this is Papa Puffs let me show you so we're rocking rough and tough for this shop's tasty Puffs located in the K area next to tenin it opened just two years ago and Pap already made a name for himself among the locals with his algen free puffs the waffles are prepared after you order so you can smell its sweet Aroma filling the air while you wait I ordered the full size but they do offer a half size perfect for little kids and those that don't have an appetite like me it's crispy and Airy at the same time and made only with rice flour tapioca flour and soy milk [Music] all right check this out I got this waffle wochi it kind of has smells like uh the waffle cone let me just take a quick bite of this oh wow oh that is so delicious the water be Emoji topping melts perfectly into the little pockets forming its own delightful sweetness this is made with rice flour soy milk and tapioca flour like it's super natural so it's like fairly simple [Music] M you can see the water be Emoji just like splitting up I love it too because they have like different flavors they have like green tea and anko raisin basil and Olive they even have sweet potato I also order their ice cream to try with their Puffs and stuffed waffles well what's interesting about the ice cream is that they don't use any milk eggs or flour and they use organic soy milk as their main ingredient let me take some of this ice cream there's throw it on here like so put these two together have a little ice cream sandwich a m holy cow that makes sense right usually have ice cream with a waffle cone actually pairs really well with this because this thing isn't so sweet but the ice cream is actually rather sweet so was so good how was it Wy all right
