Influencers Ruining Fashion for 24 Minutes (Streamy Awards 2023 Fashion Roast)

foreign [Music] mode and today on hotline mode we are coming to you with the Streamys 2023 red carpet fashion Rose very little review listen as per usual influencers ruining fashion it's just a thing it's how it works the streamy awards were carpet to me is just like so deeply unserious it makes me sad because it could be really good very rarely is it we're going to be breaking down some of the looks best well not best worst and the other ones that were there let's just get it over with right first up we have Iraq he's wearing the Mischief they're yellow and they have the Croc holes in them and you know listen I can appreciate a croc from an outside perspective it as a cultural movement and as a garment that many people identify with I get it I understand it the Mischief boot I appreciate to a degree it was intriguing when it was red and it was like the Astro Boy thing and it was playing into the trend of recreating cartoon shoes this I don't know if it's necessary this I don't know if it was needed I get it it's like a Tick-Tock viral thing it makes sense but like do we need it no I just don't know why you would tuck your pants into the boots because it's like you look bad I get it's like meant to be a joke it'll be like haha I wear cracks and now what because the joke is the way that the pants fit it's not the boots as for the rest of the suit it's it's a gray suit doesn't really fit great I mean like the arms they they look rough and they look long the t-shirt we just said oh we're not tucking in which is fine in certain circumstances like I get it you don't want to tuck in I understand but like in this moment we're wearing a suit you're tucking your pants into your boots but you're not willing to tuck your shirt into your pants I'm confused and then we just get to the pants awful I get it it's like truly meant to be a joke hopefully I don't think it's meant to be serious it looks bad the proportions are terrible I mean the way that the pants fall in on the inner leg area the way that it collapses is just like awkward and weird and strange and think that we should I don't know not do this listen I get it I love of a fun fashion gag I don't mean like a gag I mean more of like but I'm bumped but this is like a fashion gag is in you're on your way to vomiting so no thank you next up we have Anthony Padilla and Ian heacocks hiccups heck I don't know how to say it I apologize but let's talk about Ian first I like the green suit I actually think it looks really nice and the color is a great Style on him I think it works really really well the pants I think could fit a little bit better but like I'm not mad about it he's wearing a black boot I appreciate that I think that works well and the thing is the shirt I thought was a pinstripe shirt I don't think it is I think it's a white shirt with some sort of black Motif running through it and if it's not black it's some sort of darker color maybe navy blue but I like the fact that at least there's some sort of motif underneath on the shirt I think that's cool it's an attempt it's trying fit wise it could be better I appreciate that he's wearing a boot B for effort we tried and that's important as for Anthony I actually think he looks good I like this I think that this suit is nice some sort of weave but it looks cool I think the color is a little ugly but I don't think that that's a problem I mean like you want to do ugly cheeky reference product nobody can say anything about it and I think that honestly this brown is nice on him I like the fact that it's a weave the buttons on it are really interesting they're black buttons it seems to be a double-breasted sort of style as well which I think is cool it's different but he's left it undone so I'm fine with that the black shirt plays off of the brown brogues I don't know maybe a different color shirt underneath but long story short the pants fit decently I think the brogue is nice it's different I think that this looks a little bit more put together and refined style-wise they look fine they don't look terrible shockingly the men kind of turned it out for the streamies and it was not the same for the gals this is as good as it's probably going to get so prepare yourself next up we have avani Greg I don't know who avani is wearing I don't think I want to know who she's wearing it's a pink fitted bandage dress doesn't really fit super well I just think it's like too long and so it's really crinkling and wrinkling and like if it's going to be a banded sort of style like that it should fit better it should fit it's a bandage it's meant to really like suck you in it definitely fits the body it's just there's a lot of wrinkling and crinkling going on here I don't love that it's a crystal bag and it's playing off the black and Crystal shoe so I get that I just don't really get where the dress sits in with the rest of it I think that that square neckline also like a little harsh up there and then the straps just like doesn't really play well I just kind of wish maybe we'd gone for like a black dress with a crystal detail and it would have just all coincided together but I also just think that this bright vibrant pink really clashes against the shoe and the bag and it just looks disjointed even though it's so clearly simple and I think that in and of itself is a feat you could be proud of that I wouldn't but you could next up we have Bella porch and she is wearing a designer named doe long and I believe that dolong is a Vietnamese brand I don't know much about it I'm intrigued by the dress it is mesh or netting style I do think the fact that it's a mesh is fine it's nice deep sort of Keyhole plunge is really intriguing and I have to say I can tell that there is a sheer sort of panel that's holding it together because you can see it actually wrinkling but I think they've done a very good job of skin tone matching it to Bella so I appreciate that a lot then the rest of the dress pretty much is a crystal experience there is a crystal sort of halter neck wrap around in silver Crystal and then there's crystals creating a sort of zebra Motif in pink that run along which again I think it's intriguing I think it's fine I think it's decent and then there is a hem that bright pink and black feathers jut out of all in all it's a little much I just think the dress in and of itself is like it's a lot of things going on I think if we had focused maybe on like one color of Crystal maybe we'd focused on one material as being like the focal point I think it could be cool but it's like a sheer and it's also crystals in two different colors and it's also featherized and I just think there's a lot of places you want to look and sometimes that's great other times it's not as great I do think that fit wise it looks good on her appreciate the fact that skin tone mesh is there it's cool I like the black gloves the boots I don't know I feel like they get or maybe those aren't boots maybe those are heels but either way I feel like they're getting lost a little bit the dress just feels a little long it feels a little lengthy for Bella and the bag I wouldn't have chosen it although I guess maybe you could say that it plays off of the neckline but again there's a lot going on and I'm having a hard time picking it all apart not for me next up we have big boss vete and she is wearing at least from what I know an area top and then a pair of yellow matching pants so the top is an area piece I believe that is from the most recent area collection which had motifs of bananas watermelons across it I like the fact that we get this sort of yellow rhinestone area watermelon crop top I think that's cool I think that's fun and then I do think listen if you're not going to wear like the matching skirt that went with it going for the pant it makes sense I think the fitted is okay I don't hate it I don't love it I think pant legs could be a little bit better maybe it's just the photo but the necklace and the jewelry it's fine it's not really amazing maybe the full watermelon or banana sort of style could have really been like oh you know next up we've Briana chicken fry and from my understanding this is all vintage I can't tell or I don't really know if it's certain designers or not and that's maybe on me because I haven't done that much research but also like it's the streamies but I have to say considering what I normally see brown chicken fry which is like her on a podcast she cleans up nice with red Corvette rib knit tank top that's cropped with the eight ball faded Motif and then I'm intrigued by the dress pant with the little boxer so it's a low slung gray slack that also exposes some sort of boxer moment maybe the pieces all together like that maybe it's a separate styling I don't really know I'm intrigued by it I like it I think it's fun and different the shoes some sort of grounded white heel I don't know listen in the grand scheme of things like I think proportionally they've done a really really good job here I think the fact that it's low waisted but also at the same time I'm kind of high-waisted pant is cool I think it's different I think that that knit tank top fits really really well it's very casual very easy very nonchalant and I think that honestly that works really well here I think for the streamies for the most part some people that really dress up did you dress wow this is the question next up we have Chris Olsen who's wearing Nicholas ryevsky that's this crystallized suit and then there is a pair of Christian Louboutins it's a pointed heel with some sort of Crystal strip running across the shoe it's not my favorite look to be completely honest I think that the suit fits okay actually really enough I think the pants fit well I also think the jacket fits well not mad about it in that regard I think the black shirt underneath makes it a little bit more casual I get that I do think that the silver plays off of the silver of the boot pretty well too we're matching we're not really trying to do too much we're keeping on one ideal of silver and black playing off of each other the boot I don't love that much I think just the pointed toe is a little bit harsh it's a little bit jarring I do appreciate Chris Olson and Louboutins I watched that video roll the clip he's selling me on a Louboutin I don't know if he's a brand ambassador if he's not the pr should be sending him an email right now because he's selling me on Louboutins and I'm not a Louboutin girl there's something about it that I'm like it's there it's okay I appreciate it it's an a for effort it's just am I wowed no no but a for effort next up is Drew afuolo and she is wearing Rommel Kalin Atelier it's a blue sheer lace Rose Motif gown with a high slit and a plunging neckline I think it's okay I don't hate it I don't love it I think the color is really really nice on her I do think it fits well I like that side train and normally I don't really love a side train but I think the fact that it's in this nice very vibrant blue rose lace it's cool it's different from afar looks nice up close I think it looks nicer I like the slit I like the plunge I think maybe the little ruffle at the top of the shoulder is not my favorite but overall I think it's okay I think it's good I think it works it's not aggressive if it doesn't hurt my eyeballs a lot so we will take it I wish there was something a little bit more exciting but considering it's the streamies and how bad most of these things are we're good we're fine we're happy next up we have Dylan Mulvaney I try to find who Dylan was wearing I could not it's a red cocktail dress really simple there's a big bow as the neckline there's a sort of simple easy red silk skirt and then a cut out in the mid sort of area listen out of all like the Dylan Mulvaney looks that I've seen this I think is like the most kind of boring and basic and uninteresting of them all I feel like Dylan's also probably trying to like be a little bit Chiller a little bit less you know I'm lost and changes it's just a little too unostentatious for moi it fits well and all that jazz but just a little bit bored next up we have Gila Klein and she is wearing Maria Lucia ho hen I don't really know the designer but from my understanding a lot of their work has to do with this really really intricate and very micro bleeding I actually like the dress I'm kind of shocked she didn't wear something from Teddy fresh which is her own brand I know that Teddy fresh isn't exactly like red carpet sort of moments but I thought it would be intriguing to sort of see a custom Teddy fresh look on the red carpet so I was kind of shocked by that but as for the actual dress pretty simple in terms of silhouette easy I like the pink though I do actually like the pleating I think the pleat is nice I think it works well on her I think the fact that from the bust area down to the waist it's a sort of horizontal drape and at the bust area more so it's a little bit looser and that actually helps to sort of highlight the bust at the waist it's tighter it helps to sort of cinch in and then as we go below the waist it turns into a diagonal experience which allows us to sort of see the slit but honestly I think the light reflects off of it really really well I think that the actual texture of that pleating also does a rather nice job and I think what could be a very sort of simple uninteresting kind of boring dress because of the pleating and the color and the way that it plays with light it's much more interesting than I initially thought so I'm into it I like the shoes the bag makes sense with it I get it all it's easy it's peasy it's lemon squeezy again still shocked it's not Teddy fresh but I'll take it next up we have Jay Shetty it's very easy it's very simple it's very cool it's a white t-shirt white sneaker but the thing that's really of intrigue and interest is you have a burgundy varsity jacket with knit sort of white striped bands that go around the Hem of the jacket and the cuff of the sleeve and then there is some sort of motif in purple and gray on it and then you have a pant that's a much lighter sort of I would say like a red wine rather than like a burgundy that has some sort of painted person on it again there seems to be a sort of theme of these intriguing painted like motifs I'm wondering if it's like a kids super look or something like that I like the fact that a it doesn't really match I think the colors complement each other well they're in the same sort sort of family of deeper Reds I think it's casual but cool it's interesting the motifs on it sort of keep your attention and they hold your attention I'm into this moment it's very well done considering next up we have Kai sinat and he is wearing honestly again like I don't really know let's start at the bottom he's wearing a pair of I believe they're Timbs their Timberlands classic suede I'm pretty positive consonant is from New York so that makes sense the Timberlands are an iconic style here in the Big Apple then we have a pair of ripped baggy dark wash jeans again I feel like this is very New York I'm gonna say like early 2000s mid offs kind of vibe reminds me of a lot of the style you would see on the actual Street I like the jeans I like the rip I like the dark wash I think that it works with what's going on here then you have a white T-shirt of sorts and there is a plaid I don't want to say it's a jacket because it's really more of like a tunic kind of situation because it's not a jacket because it doesn't I've slid down it's almost like a sweater but it looks like a jacket or it's meant to look like a jacket it's lined with Sherpa the collar Sherpa the inside of the Cuffs of the sleeve is sherpa and then you have a sort of lace-up detail in the center I mean maybe we could have just gotten that to be a little bit meaner baseball hat I believe it's also Timberland so maybe this is like a full Timberland look I don't know X Timberland who knows considering what we saw Kai wear last year I think this is much better I think that it's still again casual and easy I think it's definitely vintage inspired but it's not like Celine in your face branded I think that it's better it has an idea it might not be like fashion runway but I definitely think that there's an aesthetic there's something going on here that works it plays into vintage Styles it plays into New York Fashion history as well so I'm into it next up we have Lord DIY she is wearing a black dress it has some waist cutouts a square neckline a little bit of a slit and the detailing is really sort of meant to be this Crystal silver that runs throughout not only the neckline and the waist details but also the skirt I don't know I don't love it something about the waist cutouts looks asymmetrical but it doesn't look like it's intended to be asymmetrical and so that's kind of throwing me off also I feel that it's weird that the crystals don't line up and so maybe this is like a DIY job I don't know but I know that if it is not great I don't love it I don't like it at all I like the fact that it matches the shoes that's great but I just feel like if we're gonna wear something in the red carpet and it's kind of simpler in terms of design because I really don't consider like a baby slit and a waist cut out to be like quality of it should be better you think the placement the technique all of that needs to be stronger and this looks very poorly homemade because I don't think homemade is always poorly done I just think in this case whatever this is it looks very poorly done next up we have link Neil of Rhett and Link I like this velvet salmon soup it's very cute it's very intriguing I think it fits him phenomenally I like the white sock with the black little sort of loafer I think it's cool I think it works those very 1950s Rubble without a cause and the white shirt underneath that's white with that little black Motif that runs throughout it is cute I love this look I think it's cool I think it's easy I think it's fun I think that that suit again it just it fits well which kind of very much a rarity on the red carpet here color is cool it's lovely it's gorgeous it's Sumptuous the shirt underneath plays off of the sock and the shoe and it's just clean and easy but memorable and fashionable I'm sold next up we have Matt Pat who is hosting the awards he's wearing a blue Versace suit it has that Greek Meandering Motif that's very subtly running throughout it happy that we're wearing Versace don't think it's the most exciting style in the entire world it only mean like it's a navy blue suit with a black shirt and black boots and like I don't know he started doing a fashion Channel I think which I'm like a stepping on my territory I wish it was a little bit better a little bit more intriguing I mean who am I to speak obviously but at the same time like it's a Versace printed too it's kind of blah it's kind of uninteresting kind of unmemorable so I don't know Matt Pat might want to step it up you know what I mean next up we have Michelle care and she's wearing a blue asymmetrical cocktail dress it has some cutouts at the stomach area both sort of coming across the mid section and then right it seems to be at the waist as well it's not great it's not really interesting not really intriguing not really memorable there's not much to see there I get it I recognize it and now I'm forgetting it next up we have Michaela naguera and she wore a dress by Pinko it's a black ball gown of sorts which I appreciate I feel like a lot of people did Casual which is fine live your best life but like I appreciate uh going for it feels more exciting a little bit more intriguing it's floor length it is made up of a deep plunge simple sort of drape up on the bust area there's a horizontal drape and then a gathering in the sky skirt that falls down hits the floor the thing that's really meant to be like of intrigue and of interest is the black tool Puffs that jump out of the shoulders I think it's fine listen it's not really super exciting it's not really super memorable and the thing is I think in terms of being like a beauty influencer I would say normally that's fine because you would think oh like the makeup would be the thing that pops and makes you really be like ah you know makeup artist that's the thing but here I feel like the makeup is obviously looks gorgeous what do I know the hair again like same thing but it doesn't really seem to be like the thing that is intriguing and memorable and so then I say like but then the dress has to be and I don't really think the dress is I'm not saying it's bad I think it fits her really really well you know personally I don't love the shoulder Pom-Pom but raw raw sister whoever does I appreciate you know going for a little bit more opulence a little bit more dressed up but again it just kind of Falls flat unmemorable not really super exciting it's just there again fit is good I'd appreciate that I just feel like though if a makeup artist is going to wear something simple I'm expecting the makeup to make up for it next up we have Neil deGrasse Tyson I don't really want to talk about it much I just want to show it to you because like if I had to be traumatized by this image you do as well next up we have Nick digiovanni it's a black suit listen it fits pretty well to be fair it's a white t-shirt underneath that seems to be the real sort of moment is forget the button down it's the white shirt underneath white crisp air force ones I get it but again like kind of blah kind of an interesting unmemorable I don't know I'm not saying that he has to like show up in a chef's suit but it just feels blah and I want more than blah I want Intrigue interest memorable next up we have pinky doll I did not know that pinky doll is the woman that does the ice cream so good but like outfit so good outfit's so good yum yum that's how I feel right now it's great I don't know who she's wearing I've tried to find it I think she's a fashion Nova sponsored person person so I'm very unsure if that's what this is if it is this is going to be the first and last time that I probably ever compliment fashion Nova but I love this bodysuit I think the motif is cool I think the colors are beautiful I love that it's fully sleeved do we wish that it was like more of a covered the full foot area absolutely but I do appreciate it and then this little like mini skirt moment the little sort of wrap skirt that wraps around it I just think adds to it I think it adds Dimension I think it adds a layering of style not too too heavily but like I just think that it adds something interesting and cool and I think this is a great example of like it's the Streamys go for it let this be the new VMAs but for influencers I think a lot of the times the influencers like want to really like dress it up your influencers I'm an influencer that is not our shtick we are not like Chic girly pops if you're gonna do it like go crazy go wild make it memorable say oh my God let this be my Rose McGowan at the VMAs moment because maybe people would actually like pay attention to the event Streamys again like if you would like to call me and have me be the Joan Rivers of the Streamys back to pinky doll I love it I think it's exciting and cool and fun and memorable all around like fashion so I will take it Fashion's so good Fashion's so good next up we have Shay koulet and she always but not in this moment listen she's wearing a Christopher John Rogers silk floral Blazer and a Robert one layered pleated skirt again in silk and like those two things by themselves lovely those two things paired together doable I could say okay when we put the black Valentino logo belt over I can't I'm sorry I can't I really can't It's upsetting to me I do not appreciate it and like she looks so good other than that it's just that Bell if I could like have that photoshopically removed I would be really content and happy about my life but I can't because it's there and it's punching me in the face and listen I don't mind the Valentino v logo and check the video we did it I just think on this outfit it is not it it's not the vibe it doesn't work the gold sandal would have been fine by itself I don't think it needed the belt I understand maybe we're wearing the out to sort of like cinch us in a little bit but not that love the jacket love the skirt just not all together whatsoever next up we have tana monjo and she is wearing minnow and honestly I think it's very smart branding experience for both of these Tana I think does sultry sexy well I think minnow is a brand that also does sultry and sexy well it's a pretty simple fitted black dress with cut in the center it's not really exciting it's not really memorable I want a little bit more interest and I do think that out of all of the brands to choose this is probably the smartest one for Tana it's a brand about cutouts and sex appeal and things like that I just wish it was more interesting I wish there was something that I would say oh my gosh can you believe that at the end of the year when we do the hotla mode best and worst dress it's like I want to remember this but there's nothing memorable about it so thank you but no thank you and finally we have xqc this one's bad the Gucci silk monogram blazer with the Celine shoulder bag and then what looked like sweatpants with the drawstrings hanging out and then the sneak I don't even know what's going on with the sneakers I mean like if we're gonna do like a full luxury monogram thing in your face at least do it all over you know what I mean like but from the waist down that is atrocious it's awful it's downright disturbing from the waist up it's also atrocious and awful and downright disturbing at least I can say oh well we spend a lot of money on it to wear it but yeah no this is not no no no I can't no we're not doing no stop please so that's it thankfully my mental capacity for this is wearing thin let's talk about best and worst let's just talk about best first Brianna chicken fry Gila Klein Jay Shetty kaisanet pinky doll worst dress everybody else so thank you all for
