IMPOSSIBLE VS. BEYOND BURGER Taste Test

yeah let's do that welcome to good mythical more elevator pitch okay just sit tight for a second okay the movies called don't touch my jello Bowl it's about a girl a girl who has she has a third arm and she loves wait for it jell-o jell-o now she likes to touch it but but but it's not what you're thinking because it's not really about the jello Bowl it's about her arms her struggle to become one with her third leg which is another thing that she has will it will all work out huh you got to see it to buy it buy it you don't touch my jello Bowl that's the name of it about a girl it's hard enough such a jello boven you have a 30 yeah yeah this one is one more hand that contextual and then third leg always coming up and they touch the jello Bowl the third leg in the third arm like the commingle man I already got a belly full of burger but now I stop we've got to do more the beyond burger is the winner I can't talk I'm so weighed down with veggies do you want me to speak I'm exhausted to be on burger won our competition that we did a second I remember that and we're gonna pit it against the impossible burger no I don't know if you've heard about this thing I I don't know how many different places in the country do you know is because I know it's here but is it also in other places right now okay so I first had one of these they actually didn't they send one to the freakin office at some point they did I don't when we ever had they sent somebody off some restaurants that one and and then there's a burger including fat burger several locations owned by Queen Latifah which is why I'm a fan we just googled and it looks like it's in more than a thousand restaurants it's a thousand a thousand restaurants but they're rolling it out I wanted a restaurant recently that was just in a Bergen configuration these are the fat burger configurations and then the ones that we had here were in a Big Mac configuration and and they were amazing yeah if you're in LA go to Mohawk Bend listen to Big Mac the Big Mac version of the impossible burger I will say that the the beyond burger is more burger patty like like the edges are rounded it's um it's it's a little floppier and even though it's a little smaller it feels a little heavier like it's denser you did that with my burger no oh well I'm not on this one I didn't do you know what I'll give you this one but now you're doing the same thing okay now they're kind of rolling it out like Gmail you remember Gmail invitation on the invitation only is it's like restaurant only I mean you know they could put it in in stores but there's something about what do you remember Gmail I I currently use Gmail but do you remember ouch it's like do I remember the competition that happened a few seconds you're looking for you bet you remember how they roll Gmail out you know they made it invitation only yeah invitation invitation only uh so this is the Fatburger version like whip that's the Fatburger Ramon when I said that cuz they're gonna go but I think that this bun this pond is a better bun this is a good but where's it what is this apart from Whole Foods brioche it's a good bun but we literally bought these from fat burger yeah literally was Queen Latifah there okay deep in the back I mean the Fatburger treatment gives us that charred taste well they don't charm it that very they're frying griddle yeah you can still get that on it we can get the char on that now I have had one that was cooked a little bit less than this at Mohawk been and it did bleed like a burger like it has a juice that comes out that's good that's really good I'm gonna just set my on the grass it is good the thing you'll get with a veggie burger even this beyond burger is that you've got a crisp eNOS on the outside that you don't get with a normal meat burger I kind of like it man that is really good mm-hmm I didn't think this was gonna be a competition because I enjoyed the impossible burger so much but the consistency of the impossible burger is so meat like it's shocking it's shocking it's literally shocking no it didn't literally shocked me but it does have that's spongy yeah you would think that was me yeah if I picked this up off the street you just started eating it I would not be like I am eating a discarded non meat patty it has a little bit of like a McDonald's quality to it because it's it doesn't look like if you just get ground meat and you buy it and you make it into a pad of yourself like it has a little bit of a process this is this is a thousand cows kind of feel to it yeah yep but it's in a house in in a Big Mac form that's what makes it great yes you know what that should be your slogan feel like you're eating a thousand cows without eating one without eating any while eating 0 while eating zero tastes a thousand cows while eating zero I think that's not taste the rainbow of a thousand cows to get some skittles co-marketing why don't we need that cuz get skittles McDonald's and impossible burger together for taste the rainbow of a thousand cows without tasting any rainbows or cows taste the rainbow let's just taste the rainbow okay let's just co-op to the slogan this is difficult impossible burger faces of the rainbow and you just misspelled rainbow put an e on the end no you spell it E a you at the end oh yeah rain boo-boo rain didn't taste the rain Moo I'm liking the beyond burger better but I think it maybe because this was prepared fresh here and we got this from fat burger and then warmed it so I'm trying to oh I'm trying to take that out of the equation when I go straight burger burger burger back to back they're both really good I mean this is not an easy call but if we might like in the impossible burger if we brought in a real burger at this point I think the complexion of this entire conversation would change that's not you cannot do it this is how you get people who've gone to be vegetarian to come back to me you slowly give them burgers that tastes more like meat and then you finally just slip in a real fat burger than you're like oh look we wouldn't never do that Casey we would never do that to you the impossible burger spongy err is that a good thing yeah wait we need an official determination here taste the spongy err rainbow impossible burger is slightly better oh yeah you're right it's slightly better man bun I have tried both and preferred the Impossible burger but after reading somewhere the smell is reminiscent of tinned cat food, I can’t eat the stuff anymore.
