Image overlay in Google Earth Pro

in this tutorial we are going to learn how to Overlay an image inside of Google Earth Pro welcome to geocarto a channel dedicated to GIS cartography NG science so subscribe if you want to get more tutorials so we'll be using this image of Geneva and I will try to overlight in Google Earth Pro after opening Google Earth Pro zoom into your work area and we will go ahead and import our image that we will overli over our work area so in order to do this go ahead and click on this button add image overlay and from this window you can go ahead and title your overlay and click on browse in order to import your image so navigate to your work folder click on your image and then click open as you can see we got our image now we will go ahead and decrease the transparency so we can work with our image so here we go after decreasing the transparency you can move your image using the screen button but before outline your image you need always to have three points in your image in order to match them with your base map in Google Earth Pro so those points can be Road intersections River intersections I big water body like for example this Lake can be also roads so we'll go ahead for our example and use this Lake and this River intersection as well as some major roads in order to Overlay this image so use this big green button in order to move your image so when we are working with your image overlay Don't Close the window just let it open so you can modify the position of your map so I will go ahead and put my image In this River intersection so if you want to resize your image you can use those green buttons in the border of your image so I will resize it then I will zoom in and try to match this River intersection right here as you can see image is very big so I will resize it until it matches so just play around with your image until you get it into its right position as you can see the image is starting to match Google Earth page map so as you can see this overlay is getting better and better just play with it resize it until you get a good overlay so at the end my final result looks just like this one as you can see my image matches the base map of Google Earth Pro so I will then just click on OK so this is the easiest way to Overlay an image or a plan in Google Earth Pro thanks a lot for watching And subscribe if you want to get more of these tutorials
