II Samuel ~ 6:4 to 6:14

all right good they tell you god bless you welcome to the Shepherd's chapel welcome to this family Bible study hour we just praise our Father for the fact that we're able to gather with you to study our father's words you know his word is so ever important man can say many things he can say many things meaning to convey messages or nonsense but our father's word is always straight on our father's word is sometimes mixed with humor with tragedy trauma and all but mostly blessings when you understand his word we just thank him for it we ask a word of wisdom from Yeshua Messiah Jesus the Christ and we continue in this second Samuel Chapter six we had completed verse three let me lay a little groundwork so we don't forget David has he's been doing quite good about bringing God into that that he's doing but then there's one thing God will not tolerate and it's important that you know this lesson today cost a man his life here in a minute the the liturgical duties are we might say those duties of the temple that the priests were to do were set the same as today those things that God has set aside that a Christian could do should do and must do if they have eyes to see and ears to hear taking away those things that are placed by man but those things that God Himself insisted that a Christian do taking into consideration the ordinance being replaced by Christ's blood and so forth he doesn't want some changed it is the traditions of man that come along they're inserted in your church worship so to speak liturgical duties changed being things God did not require and he's not happy with it now what are we talking about here in this sense and how God getting that message across you and I hope you receive it right real good David one in the Ark brought up to the position that he was at he had gathered 3000 wasn't David gathered together all the chosen in about thirty thousand that is and he sent back for the Ark of the Covenant and they loaded it on a brand-new cart the Philistines got away with that why couldn't they put it on a new cart quite simply because it's against God's law you could haul certain things of the temple on carts but those things that had to do with the inner and with the very service itself were to be carried by man and not only were they to be carried by man but if any man touched the Ark other than I say other than a son of Kohath numbers what is it numbers for chapter fit verse 15 chapter 4 verse 15 stipulates it but here they put the Ark of God upon a cart when it's supposed to be carried by hand and they're jostling along with it do you how let's let's see if I can find an analogy it's very difficult to find one because this is the those things that go with the ark are so serious to our Father and should be new but let us say that if you were to if you were to tell your child exactly how to wax your car that this is not going to do credit but so be it it'll get the point across and you were to tell him to take this certain wax after it was cleansed and so forth and then he was to apply a nice film on coat of wax and then to let it dry a certain amount of time and then to briskly polish it off and he decides he wants to make his own type polish and you get something that is very abrasive such as sand and water and goes all over your finely polished car with sand and gravel and scratches it from from bumper to bumper now that does not do credit to to the spiritual but you'll what just the point I want to make is how the father feels against the child if you came in and your brand-new car was literally ground into the paint from bumper to bumper how would you feel toward that child I got a pretty good idea and maybe it's maybe the father asked us to use that example because it gets in your pocketbook and that gets dear to your heart but also it gets down to the fact that your child won't listen your child won't listen and realize that if he doesn't do it as you say he could do some harm well dear one it's the same way when God gives orders to do a thing you can do great harm great harm simply in disobeying him why it is imperative that you have discipline in anything that is connected with a service especially something in the liturgical nature it must be disciplined now that does not mean it must be a ritual that's not what I'm talking about at all but you must discipline yourselves in the bringing forth and for taking that's an example of Passover today it can be done withered because that mean I must put on tails and and ties before I can pretty no not at all that doesn't have anything to do with it but the fact that you remember why you're taking Passover while you're taking holy communion do you understand the reason you're taking it is it is as a thousand times more important than what you're wearing when you partake of it God doesn't warmth the things that he teaches his children to do you know balance to him to be construed by some johnny-come-lately that said well it'll work a lot prettier and be more effective the people if we do it this way you do not change God's plan God therefore had said this is very precious you will be carried by man it will not be hauled on a cart the Philistines got away with it because they were ignorant but David's not ignorant David knows God's law David knows the word and you that study the word the more familiar you become with it and God help you if you use this as an excuse to not study deeper into the word because it's not that big of a step for in for a stepper is to be obedient in the meanings how could a person ever forget the meaning of Holy Communion what the wine is what the bread is well it would seem that some basically have they've turned it into the thing of man they've turned it down to a judgement day rather than that that it's meant to be what do you mean with what well I mean that the Deacons are gonna I suppose I'm a little hard on the Deacons there thank god we've got some very dedicated people in this country that serve as deacons it's just that those that set themselves up as a board that take over the priests duties rather than doing what they're supposed to do but we see within this then that many Deacon boards will set up a day of judgment and if you don't belong to their certain pedigree if you don't have just this particular card or that one or if you don't call yourself that matter whether you call yourself by Christ that's to say call yourself Christian you got to call yourself something else one of the major denominations usually otherwise that you're abandoned as a cult doesn't matter that you're a Christian doesn't mean anything anymore you've got to be you got to have one of those other labels friend or you don't fly you don't pass the grade God is very unhappy about that God is extremely unhappy that his son paid the price proving that he was worthy and then have a bunch of self-righteous hypocrites set up a Judgment Day as to who shall take it or not when it is the taking of it that raises a person makes them a better person that heals them that forgives their sins and you have a group of men standing between the altar and that Christian because he doesn't carry some damnable name or tag well now you're almost cursing the church no I'm cursing the way a man that goes against God's plan the same is loading the beautiful Ark with the cherubims on a wagon when it's to be carried by a co-ed if you can't see that connection I can't help you but man had better get his act together where Christ is returning soon to take again in a new with us that communion and there's a lot of people that place Judgment Day on for taking of communion that won't be taking it because they're gonna be in a different place with their rich traditions and liturgical duties set forth by man that are contrary to the Word of God and make it void well I didn't mean to harp on that that long but I'm glad I did because that's exactly that's the analogy that speaks better why God is very unhappy with David in the side of 30,000 people to take the ark and throw it on some wagon whether it's new or old or rusty and to treat it like a piece of baggage it's the same thing is when you take Holy Communion and put judgment on it yourself rather than allowing God to that you make Noland avoid the whole communion you might as well not take it in a place like that God does not approve well by what authority do you say that as a servant of the Living God it's null and void to take communion under those conditions you'd be better off to take it at home with the blessings of God knowing the sinner you are that it was heal you and cleanse you of those sins than the Deacons healing UNC and cleansing you they can't cut it friend all right let's get off of that so David is broken the total law or God's command better said in relationship to handling the Ark of the Covenant gender Stan Houston what's in that Ark the manna and the word you don't just take the word and and think of the word that you have in your mind and treat it the word that you have absorbed that makes you a Christian you don't take it in your mind and treat it as garbage you're like a piece of baggage it becomes your faith you're the governor of your morals your hope your future in the eternity rather than just in this flesh life all those beautiful things connected with that friend you don't insult the almighty the Creator by taking the manna that he supplied for our people that was placed in that Ark and the very word itself that was placed there those precious things and treat him like a piece of baggage especially if you are David the king of Israel freshly named so with that stage said I think the point is well made David's in trouble with God verse 4 let's go with it the wagons rolling along everything is lovely they're cutting corners it's a lot easier to haul it than carry it you got it makes a lot of sense to man it doesn't to the father and he doesn't expect you to take the beautiful word that you have in your mind and treat it as a piece of baggage but that thought point made verse 4 and they brought it out of the house of abinadab which was at Gibeah accompanying the Ark of God and a house went before the ark quite a possession the the low brand-new cart creaking and groaning as it moves along five and David in all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fur would praise offering to God and God is frowning and his forehead is wrinkling in the lips and the lines of his mouth line are beginning to widen and he's getting madder all the time but we're having a praise service to God before you have a praise service to God you'd better find out that you're pleasing to him now these instruments made of fir wood even on harps and songs trees and on the timbrels and own car nets and in on cymbals very you know looks very religious looking religious and trying to be religious does not make you pleasing to God necessarily verse six and when they came to Nate Khan's threshing floor that means prepared and they're prepared for it all right Isaiah Isaiah and God smoked him there on the spot for his era and there he died by the Ark of God God intends that his priests if they be true teachers of God stick to his word rather than taking that and throwing it on a cart letting some dumb animals stumble and almost fall and dump the pennant the sacred manner the sacred word out into the pew that even when the man though meaning well for he simply thought probably it's going that beautiful Ark is going to fall you shall not touch the ark or you'll die touch it bang I'm he's dead and I'll tell you this you continue disobeying God concerning liturgical duties when you know better and guess what's going to happen to your soul friend just like this one just like this one that's no excuse well well they were being religious religious doesn't have anything to do with it that's some label that some hypocrite fixes on some dumb house and calls it a house of God when God is not brought in the house it's time that people begin in the Word of God and realize we're not playing Church in this generation it is the Word of God and it shall be treated as the Word of God with dignity and respect to the Creator when he spins when he gives the His only sons blood the only begotten Son but we're by own just simply repenting and being obedient to those things that he requests he might say well how could we do that hey there's not all that much that he's specifically stipulated to the point that man would die if they did it otherwise that's the time to discipline yourselves into the Word of God knowing what pleases your father or what displeases him because if you displease Almighty God don't count on a blessing or a prayer being answered they won't be and many people today say why or it bought players that third verse eight and David was displeased because the Lord had made a breach upon Isaiah I guarantee you he had it coming and he called the name of the place Perez desire which is to say the breaking forth of Uzziah because he broke him forth wide open number nine and David was afraid of the Lord that day he had every right to be and said how shall the Ark of the Lord come to me how am I going to move it he knew how he was supposed to move that Ark do you think he continued on in this shabby fashion in which he did no way you will find here in what we're about to read that he knew better he just was in a hurry and he didn't stop to think and the next in command being the priest was in a hurry the king had ordered it the man king but the king of kings holiday the Living God said don't move the Ark unless it's carried by the kohathites one of that family don't even let the Levitical priesthood touch it he had a right to be afraid he didn't know how he was going to move it because he didn't have those people present verse 10 so David would not remove the Ark of the Lord and to him into the City of David but David carried it aside into the house of obed-edom David didn't carried himself but he had obed-edom the gittite that get types rather and it was time to get tight about something to get a little tight about how you handle the war god's word if you want to know the truth about it what does obed-edom mean you know I suppose that God ever caused something to sound strange it was the name of this man but it was who he was is what was important because somebody at ninety servant of Edom and I suppose because he was a little bit Levitical priest that was assigned to that old Fatih ground that had been eaten you know it's common sense but he was a Levitical priest sign to what family assigned to who you should know it's important the only way the law would work of why David Senate their whole path he was a liveth the Levitical priesthood was the priests and ever so many families all right because of family at that time was you might say a tribe and obed-edom happened to be signed to the family of whole house or the hoja fights at this time in other words he had people and was the priests of people that could handle the ark and and be correct without error in the sight of God to be done right it's easier to do it right in God's eyes than it is to have a priest like as I killed and I know that in this day and in this hour some might say well that seems like God just isn't quite fair why not he had professionals to do everything in connection with those things that were sacred those things that were the covenant between God and man whereby they would not change in the sight of people whereby they would become weary with being able to unable to understand the simplicity in which God put something forth so God used professionals the sons of HO hat were trained by the letter and by the number on how to move the things of the temple or that is to say the tabernacle more correctly they were professionals God what is a professional a professional is someone that takes very serious God's commands all ministers are supposed to be professionals and all Christians are supposed to be professionals to the point that they will not rest over all until they at least have some skill in the Word of God that is to say being able to understand it as they read it in the manner that we are now and many of you might say yeah but look what you're reading into it I am a teacher and I am in a shabby way perhaps trying to impress upon you the importance of pleasing our Father because he's gone to a lot of trouble to please us dear one and whether you understand totally it isn't God that's lacking if you don't understand totally why he would have the Ark of the Covenant handle in the manner and professionally as he set forth because he didn't want the children to be confused that would cause them to turn away from God anymore that he would want people teaching the Word of God on television or from some pulpit today confusing the issue whereby it confused the unlearned therefore you have to be regimented in God's thought and mind and the simplicity in which he put it forth whoa how did they get in all that trouble by not listening to God and quite simply going to a professional hole hop or the hole her thoughts and say we're moving the Ark they were there it's so much easier to do it God's Way even in your life today so many people will go through all sorts of shenanigans and ask this person in that person and never go to the Word of God the word that was in that are the commands they'll never go to it because they wouldn't rather listen to the rosy lips I suppose of some human being I really get cranked about this I know but it's important it's so very important and it it is a big deal it's a big deal because if you don't follow the simplicity in which God put forth well we'll give us another example well we've moved along so slow on this I suppose the will God's truth John said I that that he so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever should believe upon him should not perish but have life eternal well first of all man translated everlasting wrong eternal meaning from the very beginning the soul was created to the non ending no now stop and think on that a moment that's pretty simple because the word perish means to perish as being consumed by fire now what was his what was his qualifications for someone to have eternal life that they should believe that Jesus was Jesus that's all friend to have eternal life all you have to do is believe that Jesus was Jesus and study is work because when you study his word you follow it but all man has taken that and you'll have the Church of you've got to be baptized before you can be saved well we just just showing you how confusing it appears to the layperson and then you've got the Church of the unknown tongue you've got to have the unknown tongue before you can be baptized gonna be baptized get the unknown tongue then you got to believe and then this and then perhaps maybe if you don't wear too long a dress or too long of this or Bob your hair and a bun or some other dumb thing you're not going to make it to heaven what is what is some unlearned person out here supposed to believe when by all the Trop that liturgical that that so-called preachers teachers put on to John 3:16 irritates me irritates God your tastes the father that the true salvation has snuffed and pulled is it's like baiting something with a carrot like you're trying to bait him in the door of your dumb frame building with some sign over it with some denominational name and putting obstacles to the coming of Christian shame well I guess I've got myself in trouble with about everybody in the world but I'm sure not in trouble with my Heavenly Father if the shoe fits friends put it on and wear it in good health that are pigeon maybe maybe one of you'll finally get the guts to write the hierarchy and say let's change our system or are you afraid they'll fire you you better be afraid whether God's gonna fire you or not instead of some Deacon board or some high society muckety duck of the denomination there aren't anymore servants of God nine times out of 10 because there is so much be backed up into the traditions of men and the fair acidic moves and modes put forth if they don't even know what the word of god is judgment I'm not judging them friend it's a fact I love my denominational brothers and I will protect them that God helped them if more is placed on them by the traditions of men than what has already been piled there to blind them to the true word and the simplicity in which Christ taught well what does all that have to do with this I don't know we just went off there didn't we well so be that as it may the Holy Spirit moved and I was talking in a different tongue a very bold tongue he got a man that was qualified in a professional to move the ark he placed it and he left it there with Obito obed-edom which is to say a servant of Edom and all of his household there verse 11 and the ark of the lord continued in the house of obed-edom and the gittite three months and the lord blessed Oh Betty done and all his household wife they've had it together friend they were doing it right you want God's blessings then listen to his word and ye shall be blessed for his word is the son the son brought the word 12 and it was told King David saying the LORD hath blessed the house of obed-edom and all that pertain unto him so you can't go wrong when you're in God walk with God man may not man may try to withhold blessings from you but God will pour them in for him because of the Ark of God so David went and brought up the Ark of God from the house of obed-edom unto the City of David with gladness how do you think David brought it up and don't ever David went and brought it don't kid yourself David ordered it there and the kohathites moved it as it was supposed to be and that Levitical priest though his name be obed-edom ordered the kohai kohathites to bring it there pleasing God and God to set an example before David and the rest of Israel though he had killed one bringing the curse rather than the blessing brought the blessing to teach a lesson you know I know some might say well the way you talk I don't know you how you even have a ministry because God blesses it because there are intelligent people that listen that no I'm speaking the truth because I'm holding God's Word and teaching the example set forth in the word that God intended his people to receive knowing that it might offend some God will still bring forth the blessings and the true Word of God cannot be stopped a man can be stopped I could be stopped but there would be another take the place because God's blessings will always flow to those that have the courage to stand up and speak his word the same as the whole of the co hats being perfect kohathites being professional and they're doing were blessed if you're doing God's work as best you can and discipline yourself in it he will bless you thirteen and it was so that when they that bear the Ark of the Lord had gone six paces he sacrificed oxen and fat ones he has got his act together friend 14 and David dancing before the Lord with all his mind and David was girded with a linen ephod here you got some dancing that amounts to something David took off his king robes and put on a priests robe if you would a plain white garment very christ-like for he was a type of Christ none of the frills of a king a throne the sword the purple robe Bonita very humbling for a king but that's the way David was David was not afraid to Humble himself before the people he'll be criticized for doing that by his wife the daughter of Saul his men wrecked she'll despising for it because after all she was the king's daughter and after all royalty is wealthy right I mean you know you don't get out there and make a fool out of yourself before common people if you're the key even if you're serving God that's why I saw her father that is to say the wife that will criticize him was finished by God because God can use him no more it is serving God in the proper way and David learned some hard lessons such as losing a very very good man because of carelessness neglect of God's emotions and his feelings your father loves you very much he wants you to obey Him he knows you'll fall short it hurts him more to correct you than it does the correction hurts you he wants to bless you there's nothing pleases him more than be able to pour blessings out on those that teaches Word and those that listen those who hear are those that plant seeds he wants to just pour the blessings out feel trusting you see when we ported that John 3:16 there's one word I didn't say a great deal about believe those that believe on him I find no difficulty in believing on the son or the office of the father that created this soul that soldiers and that is able to control even our enemies how loving and wonderful he is with his blessings let him bless you today paying it's real simple if you pleasured your father lately think about it won't you bless your hearts listen a moment
