here goes nothing still doing it oh God how doing everyone Merry Christmas to you all hope you all had a fantastic day yesterday with your family and friends or how are you celebrating boxing day is just one of those days where you're just trying to get through yesterday's leftovers so yeah I know that feeling hope you guys are chowing down well whilst you're watching this video or down a few drinks whatever you're doing I hope you're having a great time and yes the Christmas beard is finally gone I've done the whole s thing yesterday it he knew it was me but he played along which was nice he could have gone oh no it's Daddy but he knew it was me but I'm glad he played along I stayed in character as well so it's something that I'll probably just try and do every year and hopefully once jasica is older as well I can sort of do it for her as well so yeah it was it was nice it was really nice um I had a great time yesterday celebrating with the family iron doesn't like this he saw me when I had a shaved just like crying he was like no it's not you I was like oh okay don't worry we'll grow back so come on let's hear it I want to hear I want to see all the comments all the jokes all the gags below about how I look like I'm 12 years old or whatever but give me it's going to take me another 35 years to grow this back yeah my facial hair doesn't grow that quick anyway you're not here to talk listen to me talk about my facial hair growth or whatever you're here to see how I'm getting on with my day in the life of a gas engineer so this particular video it's just a nice short simple one it was what I thought would have been a fairly straightforward breakdown but it wasn't there was a little bit more to it and it got a little bit more it got more expensive as the job went on let's just put it this way but replacing the boiler wasn't an option at this moment in time so enjoy the video let me know what you guys think drop a comment below hit the Subscribe button hit the like button and I'll see you guys on Thursday right next breakdown this is a what is 60 kilow I think like commercial and they haven't got heating so let's see some valves right that one's still moted open vessel LS header pump right let's turn it on it's not doing anything okay uh let's find is that the spare uh where's the main power oh that's going down it's going this way guessing it's that there we go right that's got that pump running see it let's see what this is doing sounds like the fans just coming straight away turn that off no pressure in there let's top up some pressure hang on these are lock they had some work done here recently let me just find out what's going on okay so I've open up the FL returns let's put some pressure into the system first and we'll find out what's going on with it but the fact that the fans is constantly running that's telling me it could be either a fan or a board issue let's see well I couldn't get to the outside of that wall taking the prv KN off that's it's not leaking filling Lo still open but we got nothing so it's not the prv I need to find out why we're not getting any pressure in the system okay having a bit of success finally getting some pressure in the system so I just think where it's such a big system it's just been completely empty cuz I was told that apparently there's a radiator that was fitted here recently you go now you can hear the water running through can I bleed that low L look that's got loads of everything as well not loads had a bit got like this pump do thing as well can hear there we go all that is is now coming out of it that's what I need to do probably there we go the Z valve manually now you can hear some circulation bleed these magnet cleans as well make sure you know what I don't trust this little bleed key let's use more ones full of air just get everything vented out and then we turn it on I can hear lots of air running around the system now so let that do it swing and we'll turn the boiler on and see what it's doing okay let's turn it on okay the fan just starts running constantly now I'm not sure if that's normal on these boilers cuz it's like a commotion boiler but whenever I've had a boiler where you turn it on and fan run straight away it's usually the PCB because it's OB not sending what is just sending constant power to the fan happens a lot in the back of jotex and also I'm seeing the display on there just jumping up and down so I reckon it's going to be the board but what I am going to do I'm going to yeah get some erods in there I think that's point of fan failure but it's not I reckon it's going be the board because the board's sending constant power to it when it shouldn't be but I have to check that with veilance I'm going to take photo of the data badge give V and call in in the morning and then see what's what okay it's very loud in here but plus inspection I think I'm going to pass this back to my colleague Mr Abbott Michael Abbott from Rion gas and heting services and put this in for a new inst because that boiler is in a bad way so even by changing the board and all that there's a lot in there that needs to be placing so I'm going speak to Mike and yeah let's let him do with this one it's his look at it but yeah he so I spoke to Mike about the situation the boiler and everything and he then had a chat with his Customer because it wasn't my job he' passed a job on to me because he was too busy he couldn't get there and the customer basically said to him look they haven't got the time or the funds to replace the boiler at the moment whatever it needs doing they just want to get it up and running they know it's not going to last forever but right now they just need it up and running because it was in an an office building or something and Mike didn't have the time to put a new boiler in he flat out back toback with installs it's not my sort of area to jump in on that kind of install not yet anyway and even if I want to I wouldn't do it without Mike any you I'd want to it's his job it's his customer so if anything I'd want to jump in and give him a hand with it and learn a little bit more about it along the way as well but that wasn't the case on this one just had to do whatever we could to get it done so came back the next day see what happens right back at this one so spot veent and they confirmed that problem I was having is going to be a PCB issue because it's sending constant power to the fan and which means the Fan's working it's doing its thing luckily pressure's held so we know that there isn't any leaks anyway since last night swap the board over test it and hopefully we should all be good right old board new board is in and the Moment of Truth let me power on the spur from there now last time yesterday when I turned this on fan just ran nonstop so here goes nothing still doing it oh God yeah so the PCB didn't work I thought it was going to be a 50/50 because when I spot to veent they said it's either going to be the PCB or the wiring harness now I couldn't actually see the boiler properly until I was able to change the PCB because and I couldn't really film it while I was doing this one because it was such a tight space but I couldn't get the whole PCB cover down enough to change it so I had to undo the two screws from the bottom completely remove it from the boiler casing in order to be able to actually get to the PCB itself and it only when I did that I saw that there was a lot of water sitting on the bottom of the casing and the actual wiring harness that was sitting in the water as well so due to capillary effect whatever the water had started coming down the cables onto the inside inside the PCB casing which has obviously caused a problem there but there's a secondary issue where some of the um mullet connections or whatever they called they were actually sitting in water as well and that's what was causing the problem a secondary problem to obviously the PCB issue so I spoke to Veen got the part numbers for the wiring harness and there was something called a cable tree as well advis the customer I did tell them in the beginning that it was it was either going to be one of two things but the wiring harnessing was a or the cable tree was a special order so they said look let's go for the ptb first if it's not that you know you know we'll we'll investigate further so that's what I did but I was still having to make that fun saying look I've tried it it's not worked this we're going to have to go with the next step so luckily got that ordered again next day came back Watch What Happens I'm telling you this kid is my good luck charm because this week every job has just been a nightmare he's been with me today and we've flyed for everything including this commercial bad boy what does that show you there S4 burners on we're back in business ended up having to replace the wiring harness and there's a cable tree so there's two the main harness and the cable tree got it done back in business signing out good night
