I Tried to Cook My Boyfriend His Fav Meal (I set it on fire)

well i love you [Music] oh hello there it's me christine again and welcome to my kitchen it's christine's cooking show and that's christine and cooking with no age as you are all aware ben is a very very good man he puts up with so much from me i also don't understand why he hasn't left yet so i decided for this valentine's day that i wanted to do something really special for my bae i'm gonna cook ben's favorite meal now under normal circumstances i would surprise him with this but he has to help me film so hi then hey are you surprised yeah i don't think you've ever really cooked for me since we first started dating see it's shocking what's my romantic dinner who said this was romantic this is for valentine's day and that's the whole concept of the video it's a fake holiday it's not a real holiday on the menu tonight is a delicacy one that i have perfected many many years ago are you laughing wait there's more no no see i wasn't sure that's a surprise see i wasn't sure what type of craft dinner was ben's favorite so i just got them all look at all this we got deluxe cheddar sharp cheddar spiral smart this one makes you smart serving the vegetables wow powder vegetables as you can tell yesterday i went to the grocery store it was a mission [Music] so i gotta walk oh my mom the things i do for love and now it's time to get cooking oh my god the cats think that this is treats it's just like what my parents did when i was a kid then i'd run downstairs okay we gotta put these off the stove because this stove is a fire hazard since we got a lot of craft dinner to make we're gonna need a big pot i feel like making craft dinner is something that you never forget i used to make craft dinner all the time in university and people would tell me that mine was the best you can make craft dinner in the microwave that's a sign of a good meal seven grams of protein yay on hello hello siri i've never used the middle one oh it's scary it's so big that's what she said we need salt to make it boil faster is that why i don't know i just always put salt in the water cover the pot and then sip your tea where'd you get that apron you like my apron yeah you look cute today just today just just today all right well that boils um we can watch it i was just kidding don't watch water boil you need a knife to open the box oh yeah i'm not going to use my nails ben no no no no no you don't have to help me this is your day bae you shouldn't even be filming but this has to go on the internet somehow so it is the cheese powder is this even cheese like i wonder what if you were to eat this raw don't eat raw pasta oh no oh no oh no no mention don't eat raw pasta are we there yet you know this is why i don't cook it just takes so long don't most people put butter and craft dinner no you don't really need the butter i can't believe we're not using butter there's one look at her goes [Music] now you gotta stir it quickly or else it sticks to the bottom of the pot things i remember which is honestly impressive because last time i made craft dinner i was probably 21 years old and really intoxicated i don't remember much from my time as a young 20s person in university but one thing i do remember is how to make good craft dinner so let's kind of cover it but like not all the way because then if you're wrong it should be fully covered then you're kind of close or if you weren't supposed to cover it at all then you're also close so it's brilliant so while that's boiling [Music] we got a giant ball of cheese it's not a brick it's a ball that's very oh important god stop why is it so big let's turn it down a little settle down simmer down is that where that comes from that expression just simmer down brilliant why would you get mozzarella that's like the least flavorful cheese uh wrong mozzarella is what they use on pizza are you saying that pizza is not flavorful look it's me a cheese ball how am i supposed to check on the craft dinner while i'm doing this how does anyone cook by themselves this isn't gonna take forever don't break a nail or an arm why do i still have these ugly nails okay let's power through it oh you wait until dessert oh there's a dessert course yeah it's me just kidding i'm a snack actually no you're a whole meal no i'm a snack band that's like a you have an audience over here everyone's in shock at what i'm doing in here and then she's like i've never seen you cook before and you'll never see it again all right that's enough cheese probably i think so too yeah we're gonna have to take a little sampling just a little bit we're gonna test the noodles oh yeah that's definitely done we got a colander colander yeah put it in the sink don't panic everyone it's just a giant really heavy powder boiling water oh no it's not gonna make me it's so much it's so heavy i can't stop oh you're a growing boy just give it a little shake oh wow this is like 20 pound crusher maybe we should invite people over for valentine's day dinner oh yeah bring it back and you put it in the pot yeah buddy can we add a little bit of milk i said a little bit are you measuring you don't need to measure that's just like a lie of life all right ready for the most important part the cheese oh yeah oh yeah it's so unnaturally orange oh that was the vegetable one by the way can you see the celery that must be kale wow so healthy oh you're gonna be able to mix that before you mix it in completely add the mozzarella oh yeah oh i was gonna say i did it in little pieces but that's okay i need you to understand put the macro camera in the bowl do you see the cheese strings forming wait wait this is what i would do and i would serve my five roommates this let me get you a plate or a bowl nope a plate is that real hollow it is only real hollow for my real sweetheart oh wow all right that's that's plenty thank you you didn't have breakfast today though oh oh oh i almost forgot the best part a little canadian texture so i'm actually going to show you a kitchen hack room troop ain't got nothing on this [ __ ] you're gonna take the pepper grinder that you already have at home and you're just gonna empty it you can save the pepper if you wish or you can don't snip it you know how some people have ketchup with kraft dinner well that's weird ketchup chips is where it's at gives it a really nice crunchy texture look it's simply organic this is my side company wow it's not coming out very well let's just you know take the top off all right there we go yes all right that's good all right that's that's good people always want more than they think they want nope and i present to you your valentine's day dinner thank you don't try wow that looks so good um so what do you think you really tried let me feed you [Music] it's the thought that counts hey ben now we have lunch for the next two weeks so good let's take a little break because then it's time for dessert now we all know that ben loves bananas no so i decided that for dessert we should make bananas foster who's faster i don't know but it looks really fancy cooking time five minutes that's also why i chose this recipe elsewhere on the internet i saw that if you're gonna have bananas faster you should have it over pancakes so we're also going to make pancakes we'll do that first oh come on i know we don't like her because of the you know like the fake syrup thing aunt jemima you can go [ __ ] yourself get [Music] pancakes like five ingredients we couldn't just do homemade pancakes why would i buy five ingredients when i can buy one just add water sounds good to me first we gotta heat a skillet is skillet american for frying pan why does it say heat it to 375 degrees fahrenheit it doesn't tell you what temperature these are mix it up pour mix into well what's the mix the box this is just a mix oh three quarter cups of water only the best for bed one cup of the mix it's a big cup like it's a cup why are these cups these are not shaped like cups why do we call them cups i don't know do you like cinnamon in your pancakes i like homemade pancakes yeah oh i'm at home you want cinnamon don't you i add cinnamon to everything you had cinnamon to your overnight oats yes and yours the water has to sizzle let's see if water sizzles it look it's dancing all right wait no no don't pour something okay easy easy you normally would add that like before no no no you want to make it clearer that you added it because if you mix it in then no one knows for sure don't lie to your customers is it getting a nice golden color underneath already wow i can't see you have to take a [ __ ] are you gonna attempt to flip that one giant pancake oh i'm not gonna attempt i'm gonna flip it do you know how to do this no do it with confidence what if i like flip it into my face don't do that you have to actually flip it okay [Music] is that it oh my god cooking is so easy hey if i can do this like you can become the president of the united states oh it's hot what do you expect [Music] i just want it to be perfect just like you is this necessary to show your significant other that you love them yes you thought i was gonna say no didn't you will you wrong [ __ ] you better put that ever in ben are we relationship goals uh i've that's what i've been told i see that in the comments sometime and i'm like who are you talking about me and menchie now we're gonna just put them in the microwave for now no don't put that plate in the microwave don't heat it okay well i won't turn the microwave on i'm just like putting it in here just hiding it in the microwave you gotta hide your pancakes so bae doesn't eat them yet all right one next simply four ripe but still firm bananas you want them closer to well done but but not quite dead yet take you out of your seatbelt and then combine the butter did somebody forget the butter i felt like you don't really need butter what i do have though is what is that maple butter i don't know if it's gonna work it's just canadian butter this is going to be a sticky mess so i basically have to cook this by putting it on the pan then can you smell it it does smell good yeah because the sugar just caramelizes in the pan oh is that what's happening are we making caramel that's pretty melted already yeah i know i guess we don't need four to five minutes so we're just that good the recipe can't keep up with me look banana logs look they're cooking ah wow this is so cool wow cooking wow [Music] they look like deep fried potatoes sure they look like chicken fingers now good looks like you know what you're doing the joke's on you [Music] safety first kids stand as far back from the pan as possible keeping your face and hands away from the pen so i just drop it in what are you holding a gas thing in your hand i gotta like this you strike a match on what if you never lit a match okay [Music] yeah that's totally on fire okay what do you do next should extinguish in five to ten seconds it's been longer than that see the flame went up oh yeah it was lit and then it wasn't scoop vanilla oh oh we're done that's it i didn't even need this i'm impressed same i'm actually i'm just relieved that we don't have to file a house insurance claim okay i got this what's next scoop vanilla ice cream i can do that are there any directions on like presentation well you're hiding a pancake in the microwave so you might want to get it yeah i almost forgot oh yeah i hope this teaches you and everyone else who doubts me a lesson that you can light [Music] bananas [Music] it's really good okay what do we cook
