I Tried to beat Pokémon Scarlet using just ELECTRIC Pokémon (Hardcore Nuzlocke)

the electric type has to be one of my favorite types it's host to an amazing lineup of Pokemon we've got a lot of fan favorite Pokemon like the mascot mouse Jolteon Ampharos and now of course we've got the iron Thorns it's only weak to one type being ground but that is a pretty bad weakness so today we're going to see if I can beat a hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokemon Scarlet using just electric type Pokemon here are the rules for the hardcore Nuzlocke if a Pokemon faints it's considered dead only the first electric Pokemon I see I can catch in each area no items in battles held items are okay and level caps for gyms but with that all out of the way let's drop into the world of powder and design our character this guy looks pretty shocking shocking yeah now none of these fillers here are electric Pokemon but once we take down the mono we can head on to Poco path and find our first catch we named the poor me Hinata and yet again I chucked weed cat into the bin and head down to check on karadon oh [ __ ] [Music] nah we're right we're saved by Rotom and that's why electric Pokemon are so damn good they live in your phone and they save you from certain debt falling karate into the cave A Little Pony is jumped by a Houndoom but thankfully oh yes Daddy get a ride on pick me up baby oh yeah heading further along we come up to Arvin and he nearly takes out Paul me but let's not talk about that heading into South Province Area 1 we can pick up another Pokemon and before we know it this little cute guy is up in our face and in a ball welcome Minato the Pikachu to the team oh and thank you guys enough for all the support our goal now is to get into messagosa and to acquire all my story missions but to do so we have to beat nimona her first Pokemon quaxley goes down to a charge and two Sparks taking no damage in return her Pony is a little cooler than mine because it has a cool hat on but we take it out with a few Swifts so I guess it's not we pick up our missions and head towards gym one on our way there we run into a marief which I catch your name Obito and head over to the first gym which is a bug gym and I know the perfect Pokemon to use for this so I head back to the house I was kicked out of and down towards clavel's house wait you can go into the professor's house and he has a painting of Ash Greninja on his wall but that's not even in the game ah man I feel so ripped off nonetheless heading back onto the beach we find the second new electric Pokemon being watchural I name her tamari and now it's time to take on the gym Katie leads with Nimble and it does take two plucks to take it down tarantula next does a little bit more damage with Assurance but we take it down into more plots it's unfortunate watchful isn't a physical attacker as we're doing sub-optimal damage here but her final Pokemon is Teddy Ursa she trastalizes it bug increasing her Fury swipe damage but we Dodge it which ultimately saves Watchers life and allows us to take it out in three plugs along the way Pichu evolved into Pikachu and I thought it'd be super op to get a Raichu early and I knew exactly where to find a Thunderstone so I started tracking my way up this mountain when I ran into my next encounter that being tadball I named him Jiraiya which is a perfect name if you know the naming theme and we pick up a Thunderstone Atop The Windmill and now I'm faced with a dilemma since we have both Pikachu and Tad bulb and both need thunderstones to evolve which one would be more useful to evolve right now in the end I decided to pick tadbolt to evolve into belly bulb since it can take a lot more of a beating plus it knows some super effective moves against the first Titan [Music] water gun manages to three shot the Stony Cliff Titan barely taking any damage and Battle 2 goes just as smoothly taking it down with a few more water guns on our way to gym 2 however I skip right on past the second gem and down to gym three to pick up yet another Thunderstone slap it on Minato and boom we have a Raichu heading back to Artisan we chat up the receptionist and she tells me to go pick her some flowers so I go and get 10 but apparently these were Pokemon so she wasn't too happy about it so she sends this guy with a whip after me but uh I'm gonna beat him in a Pokemon battle he sends him pedal first and I send out wardral again the plan remains somewhat the same as the bug gym as we go for pluck but we are unfortunately slept fortunately we wake up after one turn and take it down smaller requires two more plucks and in comes the problem child pseudo wudo it's always wanted to be a grass type and now it can be so it rastolizes grass and I swapped out what troll because a rock third will take us out I send ninja Raya and hit it with an acid spray dealing decent damage and dropping at special defense it hits us with a few Trailblazers increasing its speed which is probably enough to outspeed us and with our health dropped quite low already I swapped over to Raichu who can now tank the entrance hit and take it out next turn with a thunderbolt next up is the sky Titan Bombardier but as you can imagine a terrestrialized Raichu absolutely zaps the bird knocking its first phase in one hit but we take a lot of damage beforehand so we need to swap out in the second fight for the second fight at terrazolite belly bolt which works out taking it down with the help of knack lead no problem ah the first star base and for those of you who don't know often the scariest parts of the run as the starmobiles are quite formidable getting to them is easy enough defeating a couple of Gremlins and once we do we find Giacomo Tara Raichu knocks out Ponyo with a single Thunderbolt and then in comes the Starmobile we hit it with the Thunderbolt dealing just over half and get hit with a snail in return and we do get our special attack drop but it wasn't enough to stop Raichu knocking it out from here I head back down to gym 3 and the Mona challenges me to another battle she's super easy to knock out as we knock out all three of her Pokemon with ease cringe Lord iono however could be a problem since she's an electric specialist like mwah a lot of my moves aren't going to be super optimal leading with their watch rule I sent out Raichu I decided to play this setup game raising raichu's special attack by six stages but nasty plot watch all does little baby goo goo damage to us in retaliation so I hit it with a fat Thunderbolt knocking it out Luxio gets knocked out with a Swift and bellybolt barely hangs on thanks to its good HP stat and that does mean Raichu gets its Health drop to half her final Pokemon Miss magius will probably outspeed us but it will also likely go for confusrae first and not charge bit that prediction was correct and Raichu Dodges the confused Ray which is absolutely massive and now since she's to rationalizing it I didn't want to use an electric attack on it so instead I hit it with a swift which resulted in us to shutting it winning the battle I would keep anything you value away from that girl's mouth I mean look at those teeth on our way back up the hill to take on Mila I run into team member number six Hawaii dub Gara the Magnemite and we go say hi to team star they don't seem too happy to see me but I guess that's fair I absolutely wrote their law space what's up Mila wait it's drought failed because it's actually raining wait that's a thing that's a thing I went and got rain days just for that reason just for this oh my God nonetheless the rain actually helped me take down Toko River Room index was problematic as their wasted HP using rain dance for no reason but we did get a few mud shots in before we had to switch out to rasterizing Raichu and nasty plotting for a turn is apparently enough to finish off the rest of the starmobile's health which shocked me quite honestly I was not expecting to two shot it with Starbase two down it's time to take on Titan 3 and that is author and to my surprise we managed to One-Shot it again with Thunderbolt oh my God Fight 2 is just as easy and winning it inspired what true to evolve into kilowattroll hey let's get the cooking baby yeah yeah yeah but damn Raichu is really growing on me it's a Pokemon I've never really appreciated but my boy Minato here hits them pretty damn hard he does have a special attack nature as well which is definitely helping us out but speaking of weed let's go get kabu his seaweed yeah sure it's seaweed now we can evolve my Pokemon and what's great is as soon as we get magnets on we can evolve him straight into Magnezone with a Thunderstone and now we can go and take on kabu this is going to be the last hurray for Ampharos as I was going to replace it with another electric Pokemon so I lead with it and take out for loser as we're brought to half HP he brings in one Trio next and flinches us but I decided to spare ampharos's life just in case we need it later on down the line with that we swap over to kilowattroll and one shot one Trio with an electro ball the next turn in comes his acecrab vomitable and it can be quite scary with its offensive capability but landing one to rationalize electro ball we take it out before it even gets the chance to move all right good job it's here I decided to take allegedly swim in the ocean with Corydon when I stumbled upon ampharos's replacement it's not going to be super useful right now but once it evolves it'll become quite the physical Beast welcome Kakashi to the team running from here straight over to gym 5 Larry leads with Kamala and goes for a slam but misses allowing kilowattro to take it out without taking any damage his second Pokemon to Dunsparce does have drawer on which could be problematic hence why I brought my flying type so he couldn't hit me with it well it also has hyper drill though holy [ __ ] so I make the swap over to Magnezone and magnet rise this makes magnazone immune to drill run and it already resists the hyper drill actually as it barely does any damage and hits us with a flash Cannon unfortunately since we didn't take it out and it's no longer an electric type it can paralyze me with a glare fortunately we hit through it and take it down with a flash Cannon bringing me to its Ace star Raptor which he of course to rasterizes meaning we can't do super effective damage to it but it can't do any good damage to us either fortunately we hit through our paralysis again dropping it to half Health however facade does bring me quite low we have to swap hey all right nice well the paralysis uh didn't matter in the end thanks for the meal Larry I'm out of here yep I did it again I forgot about the poison star base again I think I've forgotten about it in like three different runs at this point I think it's because the normal gym is right there right after the water gym so just go right to it and just forget about it but anyway Atticus leads with skunk tank so I lead with magnazone and to rasterize it poison obviously can't hit steel so we limit his attacks quite significantly we take it out with a flash Cannon and set off the magnet rise as I know his other two Pokemon do have ground type attacks with all that set up they can't deal a lot of damage and we take out River Room easy and incomes come backwards and it literally can't do anything to me because we're immune to both its moves so we take it out and in comes the car I see it has Flame Charge so I swapped to belly bolt and mud shot it dealing barely any damage but lowering its speed this is important because it will means we can out speed it in the future with another Pokemon so I swapped to Raichu and Thunderbolt it but I'm fortunately it's just out of range from two shotting the Starmobile then hits us with a noxious tool which lands a poison sending Raichu all the way down to 6 hp but since the rain was going Thunder was a guaranteed hit and with my shell Bell we heal up a little bit of health and knock out the Starmobile it's here our tinomo evolves into electric and we can slap yet another one of these weirdly shaped stones on him and Bam we got an electross he looks very mid I don't like electros in this gen he looks way cooler in the original in black and white what they've killed my boy what have they done to him it looks so weird now why are you looking like that why are you looking like a Derpy eel he looked cool before that is a bad look that is a bad look bro [Music] now that we're in montanova we can take on rhyme in the only double battle and it's quite sad because this team would have really good Synergy for double battles she leads with both mimikyu and Bennett mimikyu and Banette alright that's fine because I have a great plan for him all right you may be thinking oh RJ what's your epic plan oh I bet it's something super cool and epic and a super awesome and amazing well you'd be right because my kilowattroll has Vault absorb we can use discharge combos to heal up kilowattro whenever it gets low plus um keep both of their opposing teams Pokemon with uh discharge plus we terrazolized kilowattial is doing increased damage with the leg with electro ball and has a pretty good speed stat so it should be doing pretty decent damage to everyone and we break mimiky's disguise and take both to about half the next time we take both out and she brings out toxicity in houndstone but with an electro ball and discharge combo we knock out toxicity but then we have to wait a turn for houndstone to use Phantom Force and then knock it out winning the match the next Titan on The Chopping Block is the ground Titan and killer Watcher with an air slash almost one shot set in the first fight we do have to take a hit but on most all of its moves are either not very effective or just can't hit me at all so we destroy it in the first battle and in the next battle me and Arvin land back to back flinches with air slash and Razor Leaf meaning we take it down before it even gets a chance to hit us wow normally this Titan is quite scary but we took that town easy as on our way to gym 7 I did stumble upon another electric Pokemon this time being the electric poison type toxicity I catch him and name him Sasuke and we head up to fight Gym number seven next up is the psychic gym and leading with ferugarov I lead with magnazone and to rasterize it being pure steel I resist a lot of the psychic moves her team wants to use and two shot for a graph with flash Cannon this bathroom goes down in two more but does manage to drop my special defense with a Shadow Ball god of war and next has a weakness to steal being part ferry so we take it down in one go which leaves just her floor just but with magnazone weak from the fight with God of War prior I decided to swap over to kilowattroll where we take a lot of damage on entrance so I volt switch out and send him volleyball we tank the hit and retaliate with a piss-poor thunder shot so yet again I swap out this time into electross who can tank three Moon blasts and crunch takes it out but we've already made it to the final gym and my plan was simple use magnazone we take down brush's froth Moss with a super effective flash Cannon before it even does anything and in comes bear tick and this thing has earthquake but the fool was outplayed when I used electromagnetism to make magnazone levitate this let me take it out the next turn with another flash can and same goes for his Titan this left just altario who goes down to a critical flash Cannon winning us the final gym badge so heading down the back of the mountain I stumble upon the fairy star base and as expected with the help of magnazone We Roll the whole base obviously the Steel type is pretty damn strong we destroyed the 30 Pokemon required to battle the boss man and he sends out those fairy types which my flash Cannon tears through see azumaru see a dash fun a Wigglytuff you ain't so tough see you later and the car goes down and two more winning us the fight heading back up the cliff and over the mountain we head back to the lake where we stumble upon the Dragon Titan who isn't even the Dragon Titan until the third battle but whatever it makes it easier for me if it's a water type so toxicity gets to work on dondozo two shutting it with overdrive same goes in the second fight but in Phase 3 against the actual dragon type it's a little bit more Troublesome as we take a lot more damage than anticipated and effect waste my terrestrialization on toxicity as I have to swap it out after one move I send out killer wattrell and of course it somehow predicts this and goes for an icy win but luckily the bird Dodges it allowing us to get an air cutter in weakening it some more but while this was all going on Ivan's grin has been hitting it with a bunch of takedowns which has been slowly chipping it down even more and before you know it he's actually taken it down let's go good job greeting I guess I see why you're putting in so much effort at least my boss is feeling better now but we've got no time for that it's time to take on Erie the Sumo girl and she's got a team of super strong fighting Pokemon so not great for magnazone but hopefully killer watch will can pull through leading with toxic group I send out the bird and we outspeed it one shutting it with an air slash annihilate and next survives the air slash but we Flinch it meaning it doesn't get to hit us the Simeon goes down in one and she sends in Lucario but since we aren't super effective against it I decided to swap over to electros who tanks two auraspheres and knocks it out with a brick break living just the final Starmobile of the run and wanting a free swap back to kilowattroll I swapped a belly bolt to bait out the high horsepower and Dodge it on the switch in but before that I actually decided to use the help we had on belly bolt to do some damage and we landed an electromorphous boosted zap Cannon draining more than half of its Health but now with belly bolt weak I swap back over to kilowattro dodging the high horsepower and take it out with an air slash let's go all the star bases are now defeated all the gym badges are now Acquired and all of the hover mysticas are smoked this takes us to the Elite Four where I can of course pass the interview the first time yeah I didn't pass the first time because I was just spamming this did someone pass it anyone against the ground specialist which could be Troublesome and unfortunately I lost the recording for the very start of the fight but I led with magnazone who took a considerable amount of damage before I swapped over to toxicity to finish off wish cash with the next Pokemon Don fan in next I swapped over to Raichu with an air balloon who was just not cutting it and I was prepared to lose it here after doing whatever damage I could to Don fan but in the end we actually took it out and dodged its attack I had already leveled up a replacement for it but I guess we don't need it she sends in Dugtrio next so I send in electros with levitate so it's earthquake misses and we take it down with two crunches camera up to next eon's electross but we took it down with two crunches before falling asleep leaving just claudzir with electross asleep now I needed to swap over to something else so I send in kilowattroll and hit it with an air slash this does about 30 damage and it uses toxic but as long as it doesn't protect stall we should be able to take this out before toxic gets to us and it doesn't meaning two more air slashes knocks it out and wins us our first battle in the Elite Four the steel specialist is next and she is a literal child so beating her shouldn't be too bad Electro's Two Shots her first Pokemon with a brick break but it does set up stealth drops bronze on their next I make a mistake in Brick Break instead of crunching which means we three shot it and get our health drop to just 65 HP the opposing magnet Zone sets up a light screen next but we brick break it and take it just below half the next turn it goes for a try attack which we survive and then take it out with another brick break against a corvy knight I swapped to Magnezone tanking A Brave Bird and retaliating with a big discharge this leaves just a tinkerton and this is the scariest one of all of her Pokemon at full HP I decided to stay in and take a brief break we hit it back with a discharge which does good damage and next turn to crits me bringing me down to 45 HP but we also got it so I swapped over to watch world to take the brick break taking a not very effective hit and then out speed it the following turn with a terror discharge let's go now main man Larry is next and being a flying specialist gets the shock of his life when I send out watchful to one shot is Tropius altario goes down to a zap cannon from belly ball stiraptor goes down to toxicity and with a special attack Boost from the throat's Bay we won shot or Aquaria as well but we're down to his last Pokemon and toxicity unfortunately did get confused in the previous fight against orokoro so I had to swap him back out to kill a watral but fortunately his flamigo used close combat which killer watch will obviously resists and lowered its own stats meaning watral could retaliate with a terror booster discharge one shunning nice the next fight is quite the hassle as this guy's name implies his first Pokemon Noivern is especially annoying since it knows superfang which will cut the HP of whichever Pokemon I lead with in half and that happens but we retaliate with two dragon claws knocking it out Drew Grogan next I swapped over toxicity who hits it with a boom burst to shutting it and against his next Pokemon flapple I swap over to kill a watchful to take it out with an air slash in next comes his Haxorus which is a Pokemon which could easily end one of my Pokemon's life so I decided to Vault switch out to Magnezone and Terra flash Cannon taking it out this just left his back to Calabar who we did drop to 30 Health but it did out speed us and meant it would take us out the next turn but most of my remaining Pokemon were super weak and I armed an odd for ages about who would out speed who could finish it off and who could survive even entering the fight at this point but in the end I decided to send back in kilowattroll as I predicted it would use brick break to finish off magnazone which it did so we were able to survive but was air slash gonna be enough to knock it out it might just knock it out or it might fail but if I volt switch into Valley bolt it would get out speeded by Bax caliber and then get taken out by an earthquake so I just had to go for it so after arming for even longer I finally committed to hitting it with an air slash and thankfully we took it out oh my God that was so damn close and so damn risky but we've made it to the champion battle ginta's first Pokemon is a spatra which we take down with two crunches and unfortunately this means it gets the chance to really weaken electros the next Pokemon being avalog I swapped over to belly bolt who took the entrance Avalanche and we healed up a bit of our health with leftovers and then one shot it with a discharge I was really shocked by this but then discharge almost knocks out a king Gambit as well but we get dropped below half we might have been able to survive another hit but I didn't want to risk it so I swapped over to magnazone and on entrance we took so much damage but we did out speed it which meant we're able to take it out with another discharge discharge then takes out over loser as well and then in comes go go and this thing can't do anything to me it's got nothing that can hurt me and I take it out with two flash cannons this just leaves a Terra glamora which I thought I'd outspeed but we just survived and with that it goes down to another flash Cannon earning me my champion title well magnazone has become so important at the end of this run the end game is like magnazone Champion Zone I don't know but the Run ain't over yet we've got to beat the final battles for each path and then take on the challenge in area zero so off I went to fight Arvin and he was having some mummy issues so I decided to cheer him up by destroying him in battle but in the end the gun had destroyed something of mine his first Pokemon gradient went down after two brick breaks from electross and his second Pokemon gargo knuckle went down into as well but it did manage to set up a stealth rocks which is problematic because my late fight counted to all of this grass Pokemon was going to be killer wardrobe I decided to deal whatever little damage I could toad school before switching into kilowattroll anyway and took decent damage on entrance as we get lowered to half fortunately we took it out anyway with an air slash and income sko villain but we actually end up one shutting it anyway so I guess the stealth drugs wasn't too bad incomes close to next which would definitely knock out tamari so I decided to swap their belly ball and take it out then out came Mash shift which he of course to rasterized I swapped over to toxicity and on entrance we got dropped down to 45 HP in one hit if I sent in magnazode it'd likely get knocked out by a brick break so I sent in Minato and it lost half its Health on entrance I decided this would be the moment I let Minato die and deal whatever damage I could with Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt did take off half of its health and then fortunately it survives on just one HP meaning if we land the Thunder it could live and take it out if we land the Thunder Raichu survives oh we should have no I should have to rasterized oh [Music] oh my God if I had to rationalize rip to the early game Goat Raichu he was such a beast but his value really did start to fall off towards the end of the mid game where kilowatt will really shine and then Magnezone carried the late game but I had a hidden team member chilling in the Box waiting for its time to shine and that was the leader of the gang Naruto the Jolteon so we took down cassiopeia's Evolution team with ease I mean look at all these things just die so now we can go and face nimona her first Pokemon is lycanroc and I send in Magnezone to hit with a flash Cannon but before I can she hits me with a drill run I forgot it had this and I paid the price as it took me down to 4 HP fortunately we did survive however meaning we could take it out with a flash Cannon before her next Pokemon earthworm comes in we'd swap over to killer Watcher who does take it out with two discharges and in comes her Guru this thing has Ice Beam so not wanting to risk its life I swapped to toxicity who lands are toxic and poisons it but we took so much damage getting that poison off so I had to swap to Jolteon who has an amazing special defense to deal with Goodra we survive a few Muddy Waters and lower it a bit with a Shadow Ball but now low Health as well I swapped Jolteon out for belly bolt to stall out the poison unfortunately we just don't take it out with the poison the next turn meaning it does get the chance to lower bellybot's half even more down to half HP and with goo draw down in comes to Don's boss I swapped to kill a watch or to dodge his drill run and hit it with a discharge it doesn't take it out however meaning it gets its hyper drill off luring us to red but we do manage to take it out the following turn her Palm mod is in next and I have no safe swap here so I'm forced to say goodbye to kilowattroll I was gonna try and deal some chip damage before it went down but format had other plans and went for quick attack preventing that goodbye killer wardrobe you'll be missed so as sending belly bolts to get revenge and it fails it almost one shots the Pullman but the next turn it goes down to a quick attack uh belly bolt you're a goat as well you will be missed well we end up taking it out with Jolteon and in comes her final Pokemon called quavo if Jolteon goes down here we will lose the run as all of our remaining Pokemon are far too weak to take another hit from quavo and with its speed being blocked after using its signature move our only hope is to One-Shot it with Jolteon there is like a very minuscule chance that this one shots it could one shot it could if it one shots the run is salvageable if it doesn't we've lost oh my God that was brutal we lost way too many good Pokemon man oh my God we made it we made it through the fight granted we lost two of our Pokemon but I did have one Pokemon hiding in the box and one Pokemon that I could still go and catch so I went and caught a Rotom my name's Hitachi and purchased the catalog which let me transform it into an oven we head over to area zero and descend into the great crater but who is our last Pokemon it was Ampharos a Pokemon who had left to rot in the box at the midpoint of the run but here it would make its triumphant return in the final area so we descended to the crater and battled our way through a few Paradox Pokemon until we reached Professor SATA turns out she was a robot and we have to fight her and she has a full team of super powered Paradox Pokemon so this is going to be quite difficult first of which is a Slither Wing I managed to take it down with a single overheat from Rotom taking minuscule damage from it using lunch our special attack is dropped of course so unfortunately barely don't take out our next Pokemon brute Bonnet it takes out Rotom with a sucker punch the following turn so we send in electros to hit it with a brick break it does get off a sucker punch before we take it out but we stay above half HP so as Sandy shocks comes in I'm able to dodge its earthquake and I'm able to lower it to the red with a couple of crunches before electros is unfortunately taken out we finish off Sandy shocks with Jolteon and income streamtail Jolteon using Shadow Ball three times will take it out but through playoffs from it would take us out but fortunately we are out speeding it meaning Jolteon lives to fight flutterman we get off one Shadow Ball before we go down lowering below half and we managed to drop at special defense I send out toxicity next and survive the Shadow Ball allowing us to finish off vladimate this leaves just roaring Moon who comes in an Earthquakes toxicity before it even gets a chance to do anything I sent out the MVP of the Run magnazone next to terasolize and weaken it with a few flash cannons barely surviving an earthquake because we to rationalize otherwise we would have been Quad weak and definitely got one shot taking it to just under half HP but this is where we have to say goodbye to Magna Zone as well this leaves just Ampharos who are equipped with the Fallen raichu's old air balloon who knows Dragon poles and because of the air balloon it can't hit me with earthquake so it's forced to go for Dragon claw and if we survive we should be able to knock it out with the dragon pulse we should be able to take this yes air balloon pop that's fine Dragon poles let's go let's freaking go and with that we've almost beaten the game with just electric Pokemon but wait now I'm forced to use karate on no no not on the last fight it's not an electric type oh no I guess I can't beat this game with just electric type Pokemon damn it I'm such a fool if only I played Violet instead hey watch this video hey watch that video
