I Tried Playing the NEW Webkinz App... (Webkinz Next)

with the death of Adobe Flash in 2021 the original browser version of Webkinz faced an existential crisis to prepare for the rapidly approaching inevitable end Gans decided to launch a new app last week we set out on our quest to experience Webkinz as a new player in 2023 we welcome to one of the new plushies into the virtual world and played with her in Webkinz classic now we'll jump into the other Webkinz game it's time to experience Webkinz next so just like last time we're going to take a look at the similarities and differences between Webkinz classic and Webkinz next so let's go ahead and log in classic players that's me log in with your current username to set up your account oh my God we're going into Webkinz World hello welcome who are you adoption center I miss biscuits no you look new here where's Miss birdie here are some pets wait a minute be part of your family and we're cinnamon like to take care of can I choose none how do I add cinnamon this feels wrong I've entered the back rooms of Webkinz where is Mrs birdie who is Miss biscuits I guess we'll just choose this pup right here we named our first pet Cinnamon so I guess nutmeg would be a suitable name wonderful this is not wonderful now use these Spinners to create a world name what this is the name that others will know you as in kinsville DJ kooky Bluff I added Bluff because this feels like I'm living a not as good as the last themes that we could choose from we're all set your new home is ready this is not my home I refuse your pet just made a request drag the water bottle to your pet to see what much I say that as if I don't go on webkinz classic every day your adoption is a success yay now it's time to meet your new pet okay we've brought cinnamon in mission accomplished now let's move on to the next step taking care of your pet so just like last time it looks like we have the same meters we have a happiness meter the hunger meter and the Sleep meter then we have this big heart in the background that we try to fill up by matching their desires oh daddy oh good I like pasta pasta cinnamon wants us to put on some clothes okay well I guess one here's a T-shirt oh wait I just saw a present oh cocker spaniel gift box claim let's go home and let's open it up Rocky Mountain horse oh now cinnamon is right next to me in real life but I have to say this I think I like the old Webkinz plushies better not that these aren't cute but I don't know I just the old ones were simply so adorable okay oh my gosh they're merged into one why don't they have their own room how do we switch between them trading instructions no do we just oh you just click them let's open up this gift open oh oh this is the same stuff that we got in the other game I don't remember the camera though can add a room over here add this room oh it's only 500 add [Music] okay so I've done some remodeling I've added a room I bought this like outside paneling for fifteen hundred dollars because you know kind of a waste of money it doesn't really look that good but that's all right now that we're all settled in let's go ahead and get cinnamon and education just like we did last time she needs to learn Academy oh it's the same lady it's Miss cowline uh class time physical Ed easy medium hard Pop Quiz oh so you don't get to choose which skill you want to level up it's just automatically chosen for you so I guess this would be the strength skill in Webkinz classic so we just have to lift it okay not bad this is exactly like the other game except with 3D Graphics okay so we did easy mode oh so she's gonna take us through oh you know this is kind of better though because this way you don't have to have membership to do more than one class match the target art as closely as possible so this is the exact same from Webkinz classic we have to take the dropper and make Spin Art so we want a blue blob with orange stuff underneath it table speed maybe like 12. all right and then a blue blob what a b all right we'll take a B music I don't think they had music okay so what do we have to do watch the keyboard then tap the same keys in sequence to repeat the pattern shown okay Simon Says what the [Music] what this is so difficult [Music] oh my goodness this is actually so hard what what I know I said I was a band Kid last time but it's been so long this is oh I still get a c that's a ribbons so I guess unlike in classic we're not trying to level up we're just trying to earn ribbons I see we only have 25 so we have to wait another two days but what would you need these abilities for I don't really understand okay so education is uh interesting it's more educational I guess surprisingly because in the first game it kind of wasn't so you know we spent a lot of money before if you recall we were at like 3 900. now we have three hundred dollars wow I don't have an issue at all so let's try to earn some of our kins cash back yes we're gonna have to go play some games curio shop I hope Artie's still here will be so sad if he isn't welcome to the curio shop who was that who said that that was not Artie question mark am I feeling fortunate sure tell me my fortune you won 50 kins cash all right I'll take it your health is like money you don't know its true value until you lose it that was strangely topical seeing as we keep spending our money all right let's go gem hunting I've had enough I I don't know how I feel about this game yet so I guess we have three chances to find something what's up this road over here how do we mine again I wasn't really paying I feel like I'm not doing well at this done six out of six plays Left what are the plays Left mean oh I guess that's how many times you can play a day I think that's what I was reading on the website so instead of having some games blocked by membership instead they've decided to have a limit on all of the games per day so every day you can only play it six times and then it resets Artie's Adventure in the giant jungle sure if I can't have already in the curio shop I guess I'll have him in the arcade what is this I don't like seeing him out in the wild how do you play this hello oh he has to jump [Music] what am I not understanding the technique here wait I already used soaked okay how are we supposed to do this so I understand this part you have to jump how is he supposed to get over the cat tail that game was bad and dumb Polar Plunge come on Polar Plunge is it the arrow keys okay it does feel like you earn kins cash a lot quicker in this version like the arcades on regular webcams it it takes a while to earn money there dog beards gold I really like this one on webkinz classic see this feels like an actual mobile app like this seems like the most polished of all of the Webkinz games how did I just lose that's so awkward what else is on here that's the same I know I saw home oh there it is okay home before dark 3D edition play I love this game so much oh foreign [Music] you know I've had enough of the arcade let's go back home okay so what do we think of Webkinz next I hate to say it but I feel like the original charm of Webkinz classic has been lost in this game like I'm not getting the same level of endearment when I look at cinnamon like when I saw cinnamon do the little emotes and Webkinz classic I was so enamored but in this one I feel just emptiness so will I continue playing Webkinz next probably not even though there are aspects of this game that are easier to pick up easier to understand than classic I still like the original one more so thank you for joining me as we explored Webkinz through Webkinz classic and into Webkinz next and I hope you guys can still enjoy the games and let me know what you think which one do you prefer do you like Webkinz next do you like Webkinz classic or do you miss the original browser game because I kind of do also don't forget to friend me okay so thank you for coming with me on this little adventure and have a great day everybody bye bye I'm actually so sad that this game sucked well it didn't suck suck is a strong word it just it was disappointing
