I Tried Following ONLY The VOICEOVER of a BOB ROSS TUTORIAL

hello there so today I'm gonna be doing a um you know I'm quite excited for this video I'm not gonna lie something if you have been into YouTube or you're very into the YouTube scene you'll know that something that's been going around a lot lately is people following tutorials of other people for example makeup like makeup artists saying oh I'm following someone else's makeup art tutorial and then you've got like now or people although following this person's nail tutorial and of course in the art community it's been you know all following a bob ross tutorial which is all fun but as with all things YouTube things evolve and they change and they get better so something that has just started in like the makeup guru world is following a makeup or following a tutorial by someone but with just the voiceover so I thought in the art community style I would make this art related and I'm going to be following a Bob Ross tutorial today but only listening to the voice over basically meaning I'm gonna have him playing on my computer here but the computers turned away from me I don't know what he's creating or doing all I can do is listen through my headphones at what he is saying so basically I can hear what he's painting and how he's painting it but I can actually see it which makes it like Triple E more difficult so I thought it would be fun to do my brother is now going to come in and pick something for me so I can't see it I've got my keyboard here so I can pause and play at will and yeah it should be fun you found one yet is it stopped yeah okay thank you and Bob seems to make amazing paintings with like the biggest paint brush ever so my mum suggested that I find the biggest paint brush that I could find and try and paint with that so that's what I've done yeah it's probably not gonna go all that well but I'm gonna try my best so wish me luck I'm gonna need it decided against the headphones I can't paint with them on let's get started that was some good site paint and paint along with each you're not put some of nature's masterpieces right up here on the canvas so I tell you what let's start out today and get right to it let's haven't run all the colors across the screen run all the colors across the screen reader today I have a 18 by 24 inch double pram pretty stretchy canvas up here any second mine's not desirable to you I just picked this size because it seems to work well and all I've done today has covered the canvas with a very thin very very thin coat of liquid clear almost starting out a mix of brown color okay alizarin crimson it's that green so we've got crimson and green these aren't even the official colors just to let you know but I'm gonna do my best I've got a plastic pallet knife so I'm going all out here to mix my paints okay I don't know if that's enough I don't know how much she's gonna need this Brown is the same color as Bob's I don't really know if it is I don't have a clue what kind of wood I'm trying to make here cuz it doesn't look like any form of wood that I've ever seen before he's probably got a canvas at the outside as well it's probably like not horizontal it's probably vertical come on there we go guarantee this is taken all the limits taking Bob bobs just like done add a bit more black to it too much too much abort mission should have done that should nice if this was not a wet campus you'd have a devil of a time trying to make this paint just slide on there it's in to sweat with it clearly I should have put liquid white on it although I don't think you can it's acrylic paint maybe I should just have put white paint on the canvas first once again when you're doing yours you change the flavor oh I'm changing it Bob are you I promise you I am changing it that when he made this tutorial he never envisioned that someone would be following his tutorial but listening only to the sound via the internet in 2018 that is the impression that he has had a lot generation he is an amazing man he's washing the brush so let's do that we wash our brushes and sees our oil paints we wash them with odorless paint thinner I didn't think this through I have to go and rinse this off in the sink I have a screen down here in the bottom of the bucket that I scrub with the bristles against a bucket I should have brought a bucket but I don't crap I have a bin if you do that in your living room you get some kind of protection and it should be frayed wall of myself doing that and he told me not to sorry Bob okay well take a just a fan brush put it a little paint there Oh a fan brush I'm just gonna dab it thinner to work right down through here three wack mini wiggly jiggly chair you wiggle and jiggle as it works I'm guessing his looks like an absolute perfect masterpiece right now and mine looks like this is it supposed to look like that I don't have a clue how much in in what part sort of Bob is actually using these colors like he could be putting a tiny bit of black and then loads of the other colors I just don't I just don't know these things and then cut across and get a little wallet paint except the little papers right out of the Asian knife there may be there [Music] o'night just something very similar okay so let's sort of fade off on the pages just weird and you just say how many little peaks and bumps in it in your mountain and he said about making Peaks and stuff I actually forget the technique he uses pallet knives are made for all your paints non critic paint it's almost right-handed people find it easier to have a light come from the right okay well enough that it's the light should come from the left then to family at disadvantage because I am using acrylic paint so you know I'm gonna blame the acrylic paint for the fact this looks terrible I'm seeing a like a mountain made of poo with some Betty Crocker cake icing on top wasn't putting the blue there is wrong when I'm doing it I should have no idea how to make him out and I'm not gonna lie white so Tam particular attention to angle see the angles coming down this blade blades just like so this is not going out person move blankets and browns and crimson and won't have SAP green in there too okay okay I need to fix this um it's bad where's he putting the green who said about green but I don't know where he's put that okay wait is it on the mountain or is it in front of the mountain I'm gonna presume that it's here oh no there's several okay I don't have any friends just really look at your painting because each person's payment will be different and you oh yes it will be very different very very different and the unique definitely a hundred percent and the job you feel like blending into the background that's the trouble everyone in the comments tell me how I'm doing right now also again is this normal for the is that normal for that is that normal is it is it normal please tell me because I don't know Bob I'm making a Christmas tree let's make a let's make a nice reflection down here this is water one of these days I'm gonna follow one of his tutorials properly with actual oil paints as well in here and let's make some decisions there's ocean areas back at the base of these trees so we're gonna do some green and yellow at the base I think he said of the mountain and then we're gonna darken it the base I like to fish very good fishermen as I catching them take them to the water and take the hook out and put a band-aid oh I'm gonna give them to the CPR pattern of the two two and put them back in there Oh Bob would take it for this world just cut an indication here in there just sort of poking that's gonna a small brush a small brush in our style of painting using one hitch it has a rounded corner we want that rounded corners toward the top let's go up there she had don't let the brush slide just give it a little up Ruth push end it in the bristles just bend up a little path you need a way to get up in here but you can do in the water to catch that trap and then we're gonna do a little pathway okay so the pathway can be a pale colour it's all blending into the dark colors but doesn't even look like a pathway at all it really helps if you know in your mind what this world is like there's more personal to you mine looks like something from stranger things to be honest pushes it right down in there okay it's the path Bob's hands look like this by any chance probably not before it's just like a bullet blob of smudge you can take the knife and just great very to the paint here just your imagination not doing enough things it's dry it was a lot of paint good sign this rascal for that it's done okay it's done some tears and Heflin collectors are looking for your paintings they don't know what to look for and they're loaded on this day you had a fantastic day and today you you experienced as you were you think no one's gonna collect this in a hundred years because I mean he's done okay okay okay um I'm gonna reveal it to myself now to see the mess that I have made compared to Bob so are you ready are you ready are you ready I mean mine just looks like a kindergarten version of that one I mean to be fair like to be fair it is somewhat similar except that's far better than mine he painted that did he he painted the word to look like that how did he do that Bob's amazing I'm sorry I don't I don't know
