if you ever search for how to make money online chances are you've heard of Drop Shipping I was always curious about this business model so I gave it a go for about a week to see if I could try and get real in this video I'll go through the process of what I did how much I spent and what the results were so stick around till the end to find out so as a beginner I just spent a couple days before the challenge just researching how Drop Shipping and e-commerce really works just so I can get my feet wet a bit and not really go in completely blind and have a basic understanding of how to run the store and just the basics of Drop Shipping I also spent too much time on Tick Tock trying to find a winning product or what I thought would be a winning product and just wasted hours honestly but really what I learned after this whole challenge was the main thing relies on your product if your product is bad you're not gonna make it I'm sure a lot of you can also relate where you just spent hours consuming e-commerce making money Drop Shipping content on YouTube or Tick Tock but you really don't take the time to go out of your way to actually start what you say you'll start so really if I could give you a beginner tip is to get out there and just do it the best thing to do is just to start and stop overthinking about it honestly okay so I bet you guys are waiting for the actual product but I bet you didn't know that I was wearing it right now so what I ended up choosing was like this bracelet that you could wear which also works as like this iPhone charger and I thought it was really cool because it kind of did feel a need and especially for tick tock there is somewhat of a wow factor so I thought it would be a good product the way I found this was using the tick tock burner method where essentially I just created like a whole different Tick Tock account and followed liked commented on a bunch of other Drop Shipping creators and products and this way after a couple of days my whole for you page was optimized just to give me like products that I thought would be winning it took me a few days to find this because it kept on showing me a bunch of products I thought were saturated but after a couple days of trying to test new things going on various like other tools you see different ads I think I landed on this one and it really caught my eye because again it did solve a problem and I think it looked cool just to wear as like a piece of jewelry remember you don't really have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to finding products you can just hop on a wave that's already you know rising to the top and still secure a nice bag for yourself at least that's what everyone else says the first step was to sign up for Shopify this would usually cost me around fifty dollars Canadian but I got it for one dollar for the first month as a free trial then I spent hours setting up the site I just picked a random name called it shop Aurora from like this random name generator you want to create like a hybrid store so you don't really waste money on buying multiple domains just in case your product doesn't work out but trust me like your first couple products honestly probably won't work out I also shipped the product from Amazon and spent around ten dollars so I could record content The Next Step was to actually create the website and import the product from AliExpress but what I used was CJ Drop Shipping because the waiting times on AliExpress are literally crazy man it took me around a day just playing around with Shopify and I think I created somewhat decent store I added things like reviews order tracking images and more stuff for social proof with a store done I know you guys can't wait to see the revenue and especially profits but it's definitely worth the wait until the end the next step was directing people to our actual site and there's basically two methods of doing this either you pay for advertising using Facebook ads or Tick Tock ads or you go to Oregon making Tick Tock videos I don't know about you guys but I really wasn't trying to spend like 200 to only make like zero profit on my first store so I just went the organic route and made free videos on Tick Tock hoping that a video would go viral so the next few days were spent by me making tick tocks about two a day hoping and praying that one would actually hit the for you page and gain some traction on the algorithm I did this by taking inspiration from tick tocks of my project that already went viral and had lots of views and just adding my own little twist to it and some little edits such as changing the trending sounds or adding new text-to-speech or different texts to speak process of getting more views and potentially sales I started reposting on Instagram reels alongside the tick tock videos and as a tip to really see any growth they need to be posting like twice daily for multiple days on end but since this was only like a weak challenge I really only posted for like five days consistently with the content all filmed posted it was time to finally get the results and see if we made any money at all okay a week later the results were in and now it's time to see if we made a quick bag or not to start off our total costs were to Shopify which was one dollar the domain which is about 15 and looking back at it I really could have saved money on the domain because apparently you can get a domain from like GoDaddy for a dollar and just connect it to your Shopify store so next time I'll definitely be doing that instead of spending 15 and the product cost which was about ten dollars and no cost for ads because we're doing organic Outreach and our total sales were [Music] I'm playing I'm gonna be straight up and completely honest we made zero sales using Tick Tock organic in the seven days as you can see the tick tock didn't really pop off or go viral I was only getting in between 200 to 500 views per video which only bought in like 10 20 visitors like every day I only posted around twice daily so eight in total but I believe if I kept it running I definitely would have seen some success and it would eventually lead to a sale or a semi-viral video at least but since this was a challenge in only a week I really did not see any progress at all this goes to show that whatever you see on YouTube of all these guys saying oh just post videos and you'll get viral it's really not that easy okay so I'm not gonna claim that drop shipping's dead or oversaturated because this was only my first store and you're never gonna achieve your best on like the very first try because it's all about consistency hard work and Improvement so after this process I know what I can do better next time which is picking a better product using better creatives and I actually know how to use the tick tock ad center now I'm sure if I kept on making content more than a week this product at least would have went semi-viral because there were other videos that had like a million views or a couple hundred thousand views and it would have led to some sales but truly I just got bored of it because I really wasn't seeing good feedback in the comments either so I just thought oh maybe this product's not really a winning product like I thought it was so I'm probably just gonna move on and let me know in the comments if I should do another challenge and try a different product and actually go through the whole process all over again because really the process was actually pretty fun and I'm super down to do it all over again if
