I Tamed A Frog To Get Unlimited Cementing Paste! - ARK Fjordur [E23]

so today we're gonna be heading out to tame up some creatures no not gali's little sin we're gonna go out and tame up some deodons and some frogs now i want the dead ons for a very specific reason and i want the frogs because you know what i'm very curious i want to go into that aberration or not aberration cave that redwoods cave because there's like a bajillion insects in there and i think it would be really fun to see how much the magic paste we can actually get and i gotta turn back on ground clutter once we teleport over to asgard boom that that was a weird black screen are we okay oh okay i don't know why that kind of like startled me there for a second i thought something went wrong let's get that going there's my settings by the way in case you're ever curious and let me grab probably mustard because that seems like a good creature to use over here so we're gonna go for the deodons first um and i i've definitely seen them over here i think i'm pretty sure you can get arted on i'm fairly certain that you can if you can't then i guess we're gonna get regular ones but um i want some high levels of these dudes because i want to use them to actually tame up some des modis i don't know if they're the actual best creature ever to do that with but i don't know i kind of want to use some pickies uh let's see do we have any data around here we got some beavers and raptors back there and some normal beaver dams here as well in case you're curious it's like the main river iron asgard you can't really miss it um let's see so i've seen them over in this direction i remember we had an encounter with one in the episode where we were getting some direwolves um i think do they spawn in there as well i can't even remember man it's uh i don't know i need to spend some more times on these for some more time on these realms uh let's see do we have any around here no just ankies as we all know this is anki guard like there's so many yankees i'm wondering if they fixed it like because they're absolutely everywhere like it's not that much of an issue but you know there's just too many there really is uh do we have any data out here can we at least find some in the opening clip of this video at all come on there's gotta be some around here somewhere yeah we found one around here when we were over here last time i don't know we're gonna have to keep looking hey we got a titanosaur over here hello i actually don't think i've seen titanosaurus in the main realm on midgard or whatever it's called yeah i can't actually remember ever seeing one over there do they even spawn there or do they just spawn here that's kind of crazy if they only spawn here all right i guess we're gonna check out this little red forest is there a name for this area is it called anything uh it's all just called asgard okay cool so i don't know red forest uh that's where we are right now in case you couldn't tell that is a rune beside this crazy little sigil or something let's go ahead and grab that nice we got 59 of them so far we're kind of slacking lately we haven't really grabbed too many in the last few episodes that's mainly because i guess i haven't been doing too much exploring all right well we got some direwolves uh still no deodons there's a crazy looking thyla oh my god these arthellas look so cool we're totally gonna tame some at some point for sure um that bleed is uh it's kind of incredible we gotta use that at some stage i'm wondering actually it does the bleed work on the world bosses and if so is that a good way to take down steinbjorn because i've since heard that pretty much every creature does reduce damage to it so if we can make it bleed then we can kill it right a little predator uh kind of uh quote right there let's see any high level gotchas here nope although i probably couldn't even tame up a high level one with like good effectiveness and stuff you know what i'm not sure if you can find them in this little purple forest area but i can tell you right now i don't even want to land there shadow mains scare me they really do uh we will tame some soon by the way i've been getting so many comments from people asking me to do that like we're totally gonna get them eventually guys just oh they're right here too uh just not right now hello oh my god that purple is gorgeous hello look at you oh you're so pretty the blue one's nice too god damn we got some cool colors over here yeah we'll uh we'll totally get some at some stage i'll be honest i still haven't even actually harvested a single piece of fungal wood yet so we'd need to do that before anything right um oh 174 okay we gotta grab this thing before this freaking stego kills it it might kill it i don't know i just want to get it out of there this is the right one correct uh you know what it's very difficult to spy gloss on them let's just see yeah that's the correct one okay good um let's get this thing over to the little village if that's close by i don't know exactly where that thing is to be honest um all right we can take a couple hits from it it's fine all right sweet so there we go 174 i don't know if it's a male or female i think it might have said female but i can't really remember um now we just need one of the opposite gender i mean to be honest i might actually keep going around so we can get some really good ones because you know we're gonna need the pigs eventually like we're gonna be fighting a dragon in this series it makes sense to have good pigs to uh to heal up my army at that point and plus you know the dragon will turn it into bacon so it's all good all around i think that's the little village over there right it's just not loaded in yet but i can see the little island okay that's it i think yeah we're good all another piggy yeah i've only seen just the two of them there i just spotted them from the distance one of them not this one the other one had like really uh significantly kind of you know eye-catching colors and then this one here is like a very bland almost kind of like a purple to be honest let's get you in here and let's drop you there and i don't have bolas so we're just gonna have to net it it's just netting it makes a little bit more sense in my opinion uh because it stays for there we go it stays for like a full minute okay so i'm just taking a look at the timer i want to try and see if we can manage to knock this thing out before the minutes up you want to shoot on the lower jaw to get the head shots i unfortunately missed it there we go that's the sweet spot right there okay let's see right around there perfect shouldn't really take too many shots to get this thing out i wouldn't say uh there nice okay this one is indeed a female okay buddy come on you're gonna get knocked out you're gonna be my friend all right i should probably just spy glass and just see i feel like i haven't knocked out soon but i'm getting kind of nervous that i'm gonna accidentally hit it let's get out of here and try to find some more i guess we can stay on the bat for the moment just to try and find them and then immediately scoop them up uh do you even have any around here nope whoa going to need some narcotic pretty soon so we should sort that come on there we go nice and grab you i hit the ground and immediately just stop flying oh i keep grabbing the wrong figs give me my piggy no i want the piggy there we go nice okay uh do i even have the stamina now to get back probably not because i have to waste it all uh picking up this piggy let's uh drop you here and we'll just i'm certainly not one of them um all right well anyway that's cool like we could wait for it to wake up if it's really important let's take a little look at its stats first of all i mean we can kind of judge it by here whether or not i want to even tame it we're looking at the food we're looking at the health and that's pretty much all that matters so 45 and then actually you know what wait wait we can look at can we look at all the stats from here wait there we go yeah so we can see the health and the food on all of them by just looking at them uh you've got really good health compared to this one but your food's lower your food is yeah your food's really good oh crap that goddammit why can't why couldn't the yankees mistake this one for the one that they wanted to kill this one has lower food than this one um now obviously these are the pre-tame stats like you know when it gets tamed the rest of it it's levels that need to get added on to make it whatever level it will be it would be like around a 260 or whatever for us but um i thought that that was something coming after us but it's just a little sin but yeah anyway so those levels will randomly distribute uh throughout all those stats right there so maybe right now if it does have a high food it might not get all those good points into that food and keep that as a high stat and it might turn average whereas on the other one over there it could potentially still end up being super high we'll see all right well anyway it does suck that it did get hit there but uh we can at least tame it anyway like we've we saved it it's still alive which is the main part so anyway let's uh let's go get this one tamed that really sucks though that really really sucks i can't believe it the yankee just snuck up on me i didn't hear it all right so we got some sheep in here some pocket sheep some pocket mutton let's go ahead and murderize you it's so horrified because it's a baby but you know it's fine at least they're not being raised up for nothing uh i don't seem to be oh there we go it's kind of weird trying to harvest you but it's kind of working there we go nice uh let's just let's just drop of that okay we should hopefully be able to get this thing tamed up before it wants food or before it wants narcotics so let's see uh elixir boom and then much boom okay and then let's use the elixir nice okay sweet so here we go eat up buddy so yeah it doesn't get very much per mutton you know like i could use kibble but we'd have to like work on trying to make a bunch so for the moment i didn't really feel like doing that anyway um i would imagine it might get teamed up i don't know i'm gonna go grab some narco berries just in case i don't believe i actually have any super good berry gathering creature on me right you guys can't gather berries right i know the maywing can but it's kind of weird sometimes it doesn't work it's the belly flop right that's how you do it think i don't know how it works because sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't like oh there we okay we got that tree apparently okay i guess nothing else there maybe what about these trees okay we're just yeah this this is working where the hell is this tree stop okay there it is we get you no all right well we got a little bit 19 well that's definitely a little bit look at these freaking our kangaroos they look dope actually you know what we should probably try and tame some i quite like procoptidons i don't know they're really good creatures like the prokopterdom was definitely the mvp during uh the the scorched earth 100 days video that i did like honestly procoptidon was really good during that i used it for like all sorts of things they're also great at gathering berries and and obviously on there they're really good at actually gathering up uh sap as well from what is it called cactus app there we go okay yeah that daydon's definitely gonna need some stuff here i'm coming dead on don't you worry i really should have brought some narcotic i guess i could i could have probably gone back to grab some but yeah it is what it is we we're in this situation right now we're just gonna have to make the the best of what we've got oh you are gonna wake up there we go all right so it's gonna tame up right now there we go nice we did lose one level usually a uh 174 would come out as a 260. this is a 259 50 points into health i knew it i knew that health was good so there we go we've already got a high health we just need um to potentially get you know what even that one right there could could really come out with a good food i don't know all right well first things first uh there you are on my hot bar i actually want to head back to my base and then we'll quickly just where the hell am i even there's like a little village super close to where i was so i could have probably saved that deodon if i had to realize that although i guess you know these guys are here uh let's go ahead and just both bad and then i found this pack right here with a freaking 174 like what is happening what is happening here today so messed up all right well anyway you know what i'm not going to complain 4174s wait wait wait how are you guys doing over there oh that one there is the first one that i knocked out i need to go over there and put some freaking narcotic into that thing immediately because it's take a lot more shots actually because we were able to of course get the headshots in the other one jaw shot but um yeah for this one it's not getting any of those so it's gonna take a lot more darts elixir nice okay let's um let's quickly try to deal with these kantros then i feel like the best way of doing this is to honestly just uh you know shoot them with the shotgun when it actually works of damage that you do to creatures that have the little ring on them like that so it's pretty good like if you're fighting things at night you can do that it doesn't work during the day like it does put the ring on them it just doesn't you know increase the amount of damage that you do so there's the actual amount of damage that i do with this i think i do like 190ish or something without and now he's nerfed me a little bit so never mind yeah i do like 183 normally and then let's drop the screech what is that like an extra of like 20 maybe this is definitely a super high level mammoth i can tell you right now yep oh are we out of food oh no uh oh um we didn't get enough mutton from that sheep prime it's fine we're gonna lose like one level but it's fine maybe one more there we go nice i had a feeling but we didn't lose any levels but i just i had a feeling that we didn't get that much from that first one um 49 points into its into its stamp or into its weight even um that's pretty good but it's uh it's food stats not so good came out with the same as the uh one point extra on top of the other one all right cool well anyway let me see what are you doing over there you have a lower food stat and you've also got kind of like a low-ish health as well all right well i guess we're just gonna have to go with these stats at least for the moment you know um i don't know if i want to be searching around too much more for these dudes i still want to try and get some frogs here today as well so yeah uh we'll probably just wait for this dude to be tamed up then it took me a little while to actually find a spot where i can you know stand down here because that's one thing that i realized i can't use the potion if i'm like floating on top of this dude so there we go we actually got it like there's one little spot right here so i definitely wouldn't recommend dropping something in here if you're wanting to um to actually try to tape them up like that let's see uh okay nothing super good on that one either 37 points into food okay we're making moves here guys look we went up by by two points that's amazing all right can i do i have to use you know what let me just pull out plasma nice okay so i'll probably get those stats combined at some stage i think next we should head on over to what do you call the place um anaheim yeah we're gonna head over to vanaheim so we can try to actually get some froggos okay great i just i got my blood stolen it's fine all right here we go don't need to try get that back although i guess we can pick them up and eat them here we go although this one here is the culprit yeah uh that's not a great spot to spawn into wouldn't recommend it there we go we get our blood back maybe all right cool so uh the little ponds and lakes and everything is probably where we're gonna find a frog if they do spawn here as aberrant versions again i have i have no idea so we're gonna have to find out i don't think there's anything in there oh we got some froggos hello are you aberrant i can't tell uh you're just a regular right level 72 as well yep okay well i saw another one over there i think we'll just go for a regular one then i don't know if the aberrant ones do spawn oh my god i can't can't spy glass properly uh yeah level 24. let's just kill these two looks like dead on spawn over here as well but they're like the regular ones so yep not super good oh hey look we have a barry over there i just spotted it please tell me that's an aberrant version you know what i'm just gonna drop you wait where did the bar go there it is it's just a regular one damn it i thought about creatures spawned here do they not all right well this is still a safer place to look for froggos instead of having to go to like the swamp island on on the main map uh that that place is great and all but holy crap it is dangerous there's a lot of stuff there that's a beautiful frog i love the blue also actually probably gonna get some nice colors over here level 30. oh that's a beautiful frog oh oh ah dude can we just have your colors on like a 180 that would be great oh are you kidding me look at that so beautiful yeah this is a great area to come to if you want nice colors just come to this realm it's so pretty also just in general this place is crazy looking i have a very very hard time finding my way around this realm this is the hardest one to navigate mainly because like the sky is is tree the sky is tree literally you know you look up and you can't really see like the the little obelisk i guess the custom obelisk whatever we're calling them yeah you can't see that so you can't use that to kind of like navigate at all so you kind of have to like get used to the terrain a little bit which i i definitely think that's a good thing but at the same time like not coming here often and then coming here a little bit it's gonna get kind of difficult to find your way around okay 180 nice come here all right i have no idea where i want to try and tame this um maybe oh there's a cave over here actually that could be good yeah and remember this is like a little metal cave almost right probably don't need to net it but i'm gonna do it anyway best to be safe and not lose these things and you know what i can just make more nets alright last shot boom all right well we'll just leave that there for the moment i guess um let me get you on the tracking nice and let's keep looking for more we just we need a female now oh my look at this dung beetle it's even beautiful are you kidding me look at that thing well that's a 168 female wait the other one's a male right okay yeah we're good we're good nice 168 on a 180 i'll take it you know i remember back in the day and this is like way back in the day i'm talking like six years ago in ark before scorched earth before any of that stuff before the redwoods even i remember frogs were just such a good creature to actually get and use they were almost like essential because cementing pace back then was a it was a real tricky thing to actually get we didn't have the chemistry bench so there was no like easy way of getting lots and lots of it uh i'd prefer if you actually didn't go all the way down there to be honest so let's go ahead and grab you but yeah so like cementing pace back then was uh was really difficult even like you know the beaver dams weren't always a thing as well but you know i didn't play a huge amount when they weren't in the game uh just a couple weeks i would say hey bud boom see i don't know frogs were just such a great creature back then they were just so awesome like the fact that you could just go around and get some medic base for free and it was all such a pain to make otherwise i don't know it was so great so yeah i feel like they're definitely underappreciated nowadays i mean like i know people use them in the swamp cave on the island and probably other caves as well but i don't know i just i never really see people asking me to tame them at all anymore it's weird and i guess i also don't really bother taming them myself as well but yeah that's gonna change here because we are frogging it up i do have to say though like if they gave them a tlc they gave them the same jump as like a kangaroo and removed the fall damage and some other little little tweaks like that they don't even have to do much but if they just did those few little things the frog would just be so much better it truly would i'm very surprised that it actually can't do the kangaroo jump now like that jump is kind of essential on the frog it just feels very outdated in terms of our creatures when you kind of think about it that actually kind of leads me to another thing you know we have arc 2 coming out next year right do you reckon we're going to get any more tlcs this year you know we didn't get proper like model tlcs last year we got you know we got a couple updates to creatures you know minor qol kind of changes but we didn't get any like new models that was the year before that was 2020 so i don't know 2022 you know we've got the car car not to saurus that's coming um at some point in the back half of this year and um that's i mean that's all we know about that creature but do you think that's going to be part of a larger update i kind of hope it is you know they're probably wondering what they can do for the rest of the year to keep people entertained with the game and stuff you know they've constantly been dropping these maps since um you know since the announcement of arc ii and now that we have that coming next year it's it's like delayed by another year you know they're probably thinking of maybe either trying to put out another map later on this year or maybe just dropping a bunch of like creature updates and stuff i hope it's creature updates and a map i don't know i'm kind of greedy i like lots of cool things to check out but um you know we did get quite a lot of stuff last year in ark as well you know we got the changes to the rock drakes which was great i'd love to see more of that this year i don't know honestly if they kind of asked us our opinions i'd say we could probably throw them quite a few things that we'd like and they might even consider it you know we're getting to the very end of arc here you know the game is not going to be updated really at all moving forward you know when we get to r2 i can't really see it getting really anything like they're not gonna put their time or effort into the game when they have a brand new one although maybe i might be wrong like they could easily support it with some stuff i just couldn't see them putting in like new models or or crazy stuff like that all right well anyway back to the frogs we have a bunch of mutton for you let's drop an elixir is that going to be enough yeah you're not going to need much i'm just going to drop more in just in case and let's get over to you these guys actually dropped their food quite quick to be honest there we go nice let's actually check out your stats then bud come here there we go got you um i think that it's going to be down at the end because it's technically called a toad and okay yeah 43 points into its health 41 into stem 40 into melee not bad not bad okay all right cool so this thing's gonna tame up in just a second here let's wait for it there we go nice okay uh we're looking at the female now uh nothing better in fact i think all of its useful stats are lower yeah it's uh it's melees the exact same which is great but everything else is lower that's fine though like i said you know we're just gonna go for the two we're not gonna try and go for a bunch of them here today can you actually build on these trees that would be kind of epic i don't know like a little tree house in this area could be really cool because you know like the only other areas in ark that we have crazy giant trees like this is either the bog on genesis or you know we also have the area on um on aberration as well and both of those areas are like super dark and kind of dangerous but here not so much am i gonna bounce off this tree okay there we go we actually did die nice i was getting kind of worried there for a second nice and there's all my stuff cool all right so we got to find like a little pond to breed these frogs in um we'll breathe the deodons at another point probably either between episodes or in the next episode don't really want to focus on that too much going forward oh you know i gotta fix up my armor it's like all on the verge of breaking specifically my pants which kind of has me worried about what's happening to me when i'm offline all right i think i know a good spot to potentially breed these frogs in um although down here maybe uh it's a little oh no there's a freaking tag rex down there what am i talking about hello level 21. uh yeah okay i got i got a i got a half decent spot that we could probably do this in just over beside um helms deep actually you know what we could do it in the back of helm's deep that would probably be better i was thinking there's like this little pond here on the cliff right here i don't know maybe let's take a little look you know i i know that there's creatures in the back of helm's deep and i don't want to potentially get stuck fighting them let's see do we have anything over here like if there's nothing here we could just breed them in this pond instead this seems safe i mean i don't see anything all right don't poop that egg into the ground but uh yeah we water though that's the only thing i gotta make sure i do that all right cool so we're gonna go ahead and raise up this tiny little froggo and take it oh god i need oxygen and then we're gonna take it into that cave and i don't know we'll we'll see how it goes this is a weird view what is happening right now oh great i was about to start going in here but i guess i'm already getting attacked by something what is that a spider dude what the hell chill all right are we good can we actually go in here i just wanted to actually just set up my guys i wanted to get the megatherium onto the bar and then this is our new froggo here let's see let me just get in here let's go gamma three there we go see i i don't i can't kill the big insects and stuff yeah we're probably gonna have to is that okay i thought that was a spider but it's a mushroom what is happening all right uh okay so yeah we got some insects here look at that snake hanging down what that's so weird looking all right is that an insect i thought that was a freaking insect okay well we got some up ahead here at least uh let's start fighting [Music] okay unfortunately the snake is just gonna do a lot of damage to me but look at that incredible damage that we do to these freaking insects and oh i just realized the arthur's gonna spit on me no that was a high level oh there's another one no don't spit on me bro okay we got him all right we're good we're good yeah the only thing about using a frog in here is that you know you're gonna have difficulties with these types of creatures right here like the spiders they're all super high level let me actually just do that real quick there we go nice um all right well we got a little bit not much because we only killed like a little handful all right for the moment though let's go ahead and pump that up and boom look at that oh okay we already harvested them nice um let's get in here okay so there's like usually a crap ton of them up ahead see let's get that there let's do that and should i just like shoot over there i feel like i should just to try and get them to all to like come to me because i don't want to run over there and then have to you know what i should have brought some rare flowers with me i don't want to run over there and then have to uh you know pretty much get swarmed by other stuff that's not insects uh can we actually get a hit in there we go nice oh yeah oh yeah there we go we're also gonna level this dude up quite a lot by just being here okay can we come on there we go can't get them if they're like directly above like that we can sometimes i guess we gotta actually be facing their direction though there we go come on okay we can't get that one nice okay yeah we're getting lots of semantic face so far definitely gonna be helpful but i've already i've already taken a ton of damage that's the one thing um probably gonna have to go ahead and do this because i can't kill them but luckily all you have to do is just harvest their bodies with the uh with the frog to do that so i think i'm gonna back up um we're gonna probably just level into health i gotta get out of here we can use the owl to heal up the frog and then go back in and have some more fun all right there's gonna be a lot of them here though yeah this is probably way too dangerous to pull the frog out in so i'm gonna have to probably just do oh yeah look at all those bugs that's insane oh man all right should i i mean i could probably just drop down the frog um yeah we're gonna have to do that i can't hop off and get on to it oh they are hitting me quite a lot okay let's do that boom hey buddy help get in here there you go all right you're doing it look at him go he's so amazing keep going come on you can do it keep taking him out come on you're not even come on there you go oh my okay yeah that's a lot of smelling paste i can already tell see how are we doing okay good amount not as much as i thought we would get though honestly i thought we would have had more uh let's drop all that though can we can we get this one like you can't jump in tongue right yeah i don't think that works there we go uh oh i didn't mean to hit the bear i went to try and hit the insects and then okay we're fine we're fine we're fine oh god there's so many bears chasing me i'm just we're just gonna get out of here it's fine oh dude all right well anyway there we go we uh hello i'm not gonna even bother with you um we got a good amount of sweating pace probably like a couple thousand there what is that uh 20 yeah we got like basically like 2600 that's not bad that's not bad for like a little venture into there probably would have helped if my frog was leveled up before we went in but i figured it would be a good idea to try and level it up in there so let's uh let's get this up to like 5k there we go and then the rest can go into melee nice all right cool so we'll probably do that a couple more times in the future and uh maybe just try and get some more cementite pace that way let's pick you up as well the chunk we haven't seen you in a couple episodes actually we're gonna start using you again all right well anyway guys that's probably gonna be it for today we got everything done that i wanted to get done and um we're kind of setting ourselves up here for the next few episodes which is awesome so really happy with the progress so far anyway
