I Requested To Turn Base At A Busy Airport - Tower Got Mad.

[Music] we've got some clouds today hello everybody if i haven't said hi yet i apologize uh just trying to pay attention to flying the airplane it's not a lot of airplanes flying today so it gives me an opportunity to just practice my landings and this is one of the first few flights i've actually taken since since we installed a serious exam in the airplane shout out to cyrus exam who is now an official partner of the channel of mojo grip and i'm i'm really excited to use the uh the weather feature hey ground november 9 498 mike uh once we go on an actual trip tomorrow so make sure you stay tuned for that but uh today's just a practice flight ground get a feel of the airplane again and get ready for a longer trip tomorrow to florida tower all right we got land in traffic so we're sitting here this is this is the typical uh gwinnett county airport i generally don't like to practice land and tear because it gets very busy and you see right now i'm holding sure there's an airplane behind me there's an airplane right across from me and i i heard somebody coming in uh well clear to land so i'm guessing we're waiting for that line in traffic and he's gonna pass either me or the guy across from me so that's how the sequence goes out here i rolling seven clear four take off uh left traffic one might go all right i'm gonna try and get off the ground before he does five three seven alpha turns to your base runway seven you clear to land i'll be departing traffic all right airspeed's alive gonna lift up right here you must turn right south runway seven clear takeoff [Music] all right keep our climb going [Music] all right climb flaps up juliet is detroit runway seven in salute that's nine of six three three or nine six three two nine or six three two juliet entire six three two juliet whole short runway seven landing once the area not working [Music] now we got it turned on south south all right it must have been a button on my scope for uh you're more just continue for the right base report three southeast from three south west runway seven three zero one one four three all right normally i'm supposed to do my checklist here but we're extending downwind so i'll just keep this opposite for now because we got some powers uh right around the base here 537 alpha turn right charlie taxi park correction but i have my whiskey remain tower frequency advisory for the parts rolling short i hate practicing landing tier i just hate it you you're completely out of your flow once you're understand traffic inside roger traffic now at 3 300 [Applause] now on my golf just continue on the downwind i'll call your base here in a minute [Applause] uh yeah don't don't come to gwinnett county airport to practice landings it's not going to work out you just you get completely thrown out of your flow whatever checklist the speed you were looking forward to doing it's not going to happen um yeah i can't really practice pattern here i'm just gonna hear it uh do this one down and head on make good time run away seven colonel aim roger that keeping them speed making good time clear land runway [Music] i don't even see my damn airport right now one mic golf now number one runway seven for the land number one runway seven cleveland oh my god we gotta get down all right we have our runway in sight and our new form once here is clear of seven gonna be taxiing over that arrow for once your attacks your parking [Music] monogram sorry i take you guys through this flow i always want to get these on camera but it's just a good pattern practice is to go you know four to five times even but here because you're just taken out of your flow completely it's hard to go several times i i should have known i should have just went to a local a different airport which is what i usually would do but uh let's kill the power full flaps [Music] all right see if we can do one more oh my god if you're going to the ramp you're going back for another oh we'll go for another one one might go my golf turn left on zulu runway seven remain tower frequency left and zillow will remain with you back to almost seven on my goal hope you all still have an alpha left traffic we're only seven clear for takeoff traffic deliver takeoff runway 37 album we are still here i'm gonna go for another one hopefully i i get in a flow cause that's the whole point of this is for me to practice some landings and practice my speeds again it just again it gets challenging when you're flying out of a busy airport so we're gonna go for another one see how that goes if it's too busy if it's lenient we may go for another one if it's as busy as the first one we'll probably call it a day for one might golf for making left traffic runway seven clear for takeoff left traffic runway seven taking it that far right now i'm climbing out at 80 knots and this is how high up it is one thousand eight hundred feet a minute and that's with no flaps by the way with this downside up on the runway seven i see that traffic in front of me now keep climbing 9387 i'm going to tower you full stop or you're going to do a published miss we're going to publish this up to 4 000. we continue to expect clearance to three miles all right we'll continue each other take our downward turn power back all right he's turning the base hey tim lima runway seven you're cleared to uh cleared option number two archer in the left base full stop all right cleared option runway seven scout cases i won my golf extend downwind now number three looking for cherokee traffic approaching four straight in you number three for the runway all right number three look out for that traffic oh my god we got okay all right let's let's just extend i see number one i gotta look out for number two i i assume he would put me in number two but that tower [Applause] now uh turn your base runway seven clear touch and go turn in base seven and you're clear to land number two all right let's slow her down with that tower zero julia can i turn down one there's no drill yet if you're entering the downwind you can enter and uh continue you're looking for experimental traffic currently in the left base three west number three looking for traffic towers all right number one two is still just about short final so we'll slow down a little bit when that tower is really had traffic in sight [Applause] 537 alpha you're looking for some traffic left down when approaching left face commuter negative contact on traffic we're looking for on fight 67 500 thank you [Music] pretty high [Music] a 661 my goal is going to go around executed i'll contact atlanta 126.97 all right i didn't like that landing i was too high uh 816 hotel alpha is 2 000 feet 5 miles to the east a visual runway 7.816 hotel alpha follow the cessna after 12 o'clock out about a mile and a half you're currently number five for the runway if able follow that traffic in for the right downwind runway seven now three zero one zero all right three zero one zero we'll follow that traffic off our 12 o'clock number five for the runway and we'll get as slow as we can and one might golf your number two following archer traffic on the left down when approaching left base turn runway seven clear to land number two number two runway seven set atlanta have traffic inside one might go all right down to 14. good which is what i wanted to practice all along all right flaps it good okay let's keep it steady keep it steady i'm gonna turn right here by this building because i have that shower computer right here holding short whiskey charlie are you parking here zero zero julio taxi to park whiskey i'm underground park whiskey monogram [Applause] let's get down all right i think we should be good for this one [Music] [Music] i wanted a much smoother butter planning but i'll take that one i sure do i said i'd call your base all right i won my golf watch your park you go in the park or you go for more yes sir i'll call in the day my golf turn left delta taxi to park tango underground point eight how we going delta tango underground i formed myself thank you all right ladies and gentlemen we uh i think this i would consider this successful uh but uh we got it again two four seven seven hold short whiskey seven ready to go three four seven seven juliet tower short runway seven landing traffic old shorts anywho um thank you all for coming along for my practice landing today uh again part of the reason i do this is because if i haven't flown in a while and i'm going on a trip particularly to an air show where seven sierra turn left heading to the park you're gonna find you gotta stay on top of your game it's always a good idea to just practice some landings get a feel for the airplane again uh practice your speeds know your speeds when you're going to a new airport and so that's what i'm doing today and although i didn't get into my flow 100 because it's so busy at this airport um i was able to get some landings and get a feel for the airplane which i'm happy about uh technically we did three takeoffs today uh three takeaways they're ready to taxi before romeo runway seven texas whiskey whiskey to seven four miss here i'll uh i'll take that because it's very busy here it's just it's it's very challenging to uh to get into your proper flow to practice landing tier but anyway thank you all for coming along for
