I Pranked MSFS's NEW AI ATC (didn't go well)

but this is the Microsoft flight simulator obviously renowned as the most realistic flight simulator out there although I doubt that fact because the physics are literally like toys but that's another story no really I mean look at this approach what are we doing what is going on no but we do have beautiful landscapes realistic looking airplanes but there's one thing that's obviously missing in the flight simulator you know compared to actual real life flying and that is ATC communication obviously for flight Smiler there is a big challenge to recreating this human factor of ATC I mean over the years we do have like very very beautiful add-ons like aval or the whole vatom Community which we've been using for Realistic Flying where people sort of roleplay their roles as in you know people being air traffic controllers and people being pilots and it's a a very nice multiplayer situation that works very very well to ground good day rer 2 22 2122 hello R 2122 737 at st11 with information mic request IFR clearance to uh berlin2 um hello information M correct start up approved definitely solution for adding proper ATC now there's one problem behind it though of course it's the human interaction no one wants human interaction do we actually want to talk to actual humans do we I mean genuinely I do quite understand for especially beginners because the ATC learning curve is quite high you're a bit shy and you don't really want to waste anyone's Time by being like I'll say again say what did you just say so of course everybody the idea would be well why don't we create a software for ATC flying that is supported by AI as AI is pretty much able to replace this human factor oh and now we do have that because there is a software called called say intentions. a and the name already kind of predicts it we have for the first time an add-on that recreates AI air traffic control so real your forgeted fight simulator that's quite interesting now they've just recently started rolling out their weight list beta program I applied to this weight list like a week ago and they now invited me to try out their beta software well you know rather purchase their beta software well now I'm subscribed to the monthly plan which lets me able to you know use the software to its full extent and it cost $30 a month a quite high price but I you know I consider that fair because this is such a new technology that takes a long time to actually properly develop oh well but you know what is free everybody the sponsor of today's video War Thunder yes everybody I have long time now and here we are in the software I guess let's go ahead and start a flight here where we can spawn into an SR22 and perhaps let's go to uh Aspen Airport yeah yeah beautiful Aspen here in the Colorado mountains now why are we going to Aspen and not like any other Infamous Swiss are one place like Kel well the trouble about say tensions AI is that it's only supported in the US just yet while it relies on a lot of data that it had to gather from the FAA they are planning on rolling out other countries as well maybe Europe next but yes so far only FAA talking about restrictions so far we also only have VFR are flying so no you can't really be flying IFR commercial just with us add-on but that's just fine as some sort of a study thing for new pilots who want to learn flying I think I I still consider this is a great option let's go ahead and put on the headset here which got this beautiful sound let's go ah and turn on the batteries and turn on this airplane like that it's relatively simple in the flight simulator beautiful now let's go ahead and turn on the alternators and the avionics oh we can already hear the ATS advise on course heading altit cute and if flight following is requested all right let's go ahead and contact clearance on 23.75 so this just now really feels like that Sim here okay now this right here is the software as you can see it already knows that we are at Aspen Pitkin airport it has all the frequencies and that's a lot and that's a lot more than you'd ever get from Batum let's go to the settings here we can choose our tail number of course our call sign our headset and our dialect of input which is interesting too joystick here for the button for the actual transmission button so that's cool uh multiplayer as well we do have a multiplayer that also adds other players in this thing you can turn it off if you want though all right good just let me go Ahad and actually do this now so um Aspen clearance good day Delta Echo Mike notice is that the AI really does take its time to respond which is something I do understand I guess over time this will be a bit faster now the ground didn't specify on which holding point I should okay we need to land right now on the damn Runway oh Aspen Tower please help me hm so this has been a little exploration of the new AI by say intentions not bad at all here you can see in this little pattern work we did with some little extra Sparkles of Magic the hijacker would like a million dollars Delta Echo mic the AI does respond quite well very very cool one bad thing is that I kind of edit out of the videos is that the response time of the AI is like 20 seconds now I absolutely didn't use what the AI is fully capable of there's also flight following it can do a lot of ATC service
