building up a village talking to my secret admirer and expanding the territory now that sounds relaxing today I played 100 days of the most peaceful Village building simulators out there I played 100 days of fabl them my journey began in the realm of vortia I had left my parents the king and queen of the old lands to sail here there were Promises of prosperous lands to start a new kingdom on it wasn't going to be easy though I'm sure there's going to be a whole bunch of things that I'm going to encounter both good and bad all I can hope for though are that things go well my four settlers arrived at a location that was going to be suitable for our village it took them quite a while to get here so they needed some time to unwind after all of the traveling that's when I got acquainted with how I was going to be telling them what to do and when to get things done one of the peasants Michael even said he was excited to see what this Village is going to turn into so our hard work began I started to construct roads around found the wagon that we had brought our supplies in I was planning on creating a u shape so that way I could use the inside of the U as our town center the first building I constructed was a Laborer's Hut I assigned two citizens to work there as we were clearly going to be doing a lot of construction I then proceeded to finish off my ushaped roads perfect we now have roads as well as a Laborer's Hut now I just need to start constructing some houses I ordered the building of the very first house in vortia I wanted to make sure that my citizens felt comfortable too so I gave them a 2x3 yard that was pretty large especially if there's going to be only two to three people in each house at the exact second that I ordered the construction of the house the laborers got busy I also did my part as I planned out where the next house was going to go I was planning in my head that this was going to be the new residential area it made sense to keep all of the houses together I could also build something like a fountain to make the area a lot more desirable too as the laborers got busy I started to to expand the roads just a little bit I had then proceeded to watch all of the villagers do their thing awesome the first house had finished construction now that's quite the house in addition to the house finishing it also looked like the workers had constructed a small Greenhouse as well as a beehive I'd really hate to be these people's neighbors it looked like three people were living in this house that meant that there was only one villager that was currently homeless this was going to be resolved too in the next couple of days because we were constructing yet another house house out of the three basic necessities my villagers now had shelter now we only need to get food and water thankfully enough we had thought ahead and packed enough materials to construct a well I just needed to find the best place for it this looks good while the well was under construction I had went over to see the newly constructed house and that was when the well finished too The Village was really booming two new visitors had come by and asked if they could stay here since we had enough housing for them I said it was perfectly okay and I welcomed the two new villagers they seemed pretty happy as I was checking out my Village from a higher perspective I had realized that I placed the Laborer's Hut right in the middle of the main path this needed to be moved so I built another Laborer's Hut right next to it and then planned on destroying that one once it finished in the meantime I constructed another house this way we would be able to expand the village even bigger than just six people real quick I noticed that around 90% of you aren't subscribed hit that subscribe button now if you enjoy the content that's taken care of I could now expand my roads a little bit further this meant that I could also build some new buildings hm well I guess we still are lacking food I might as well place down a farm so that's exactly what I did I then tried looking at all the different crops that I could build and oh boy there were a lot I decided to first place down some carrots these were super easy to grow and you can use them in a lot of dishes I had then placed down some pumpkins because who doesn't like pumpkin pie and finally a whole whole bunch of cabbage I think we're going to be good on food for a while I had reached my goal of planting at least 30 seeds after getting my hands dirty with the crops I noticed that there wasn't any water going to the third house so unfortunately I had to build another well that definitely felt like a waste of resources I felt pretty adventurous so I started scouting out the territories nearby I found these random ruins that I wasn't really sure what they used to be it looked like some kind of house I'm going to want to check those out later the Farm's done we were now a fully self-sufficient Village we could now produce food water and we had shelter H what are we missing I know we need some more wood we were building so many structures my wood was depleting quickly so I ordered the construction of a lumber camp with one of these build I could now fund the building of my new buildings with the village being self- sustaining I figured that I could place down some decorations finally I needed this place to look a little bit nicer so I tried placing down some random trees behind behind the house let's see how these look before I place down more the lumber Camp had finished constructing I did have one issue though I didn't have enough laborers to work it well it looks like we got to wait two more days on the bright side the new trees behind the house look good since I knew that I was going to be getting some new citizens in the next day or two I placed down another house to be prepared for even more of course since I had just placed down a new house I need to place down the aesthetic trees right behind it believe it or not the nice trees actually gave the house a desirability bonus this made the the house a lot more desirable for new citizens to live in since I was already on a building spree I might as well keep it going and this time I watched exactly how one of these houses were built maybe I could give it a go and build one by hand my Builder was working hard until she finished the house we also got an ouse out of it the crops were also coming along very nicely they were all fully grown and ready to be harvested while I was surveying my land a little bit more I noticed that there was a stone deposit this could for sure be utilized in the future I sadly didn't have enough citizens to work one right now speaking of villagers though two more decided to join my Village this earned us the title of being officially recognized as a hamlet what this pretty much meant was that I unlocked the Inn Stone Camp coal maker Granary and Forester the first thing that I built with this new technology was the Forester that way I could have an unlimited amount of trees that could be cut down an unlimited amount of times I like to call this the unlimited tree glitch the second building that I started to construct was the stone mine like I said before I didn't have enough people to work this mine yet but it was definitely beneficial to have it built for when I did right after I ordered the construction of the stone mine I had placed down an inn I got to let the villagers have some fun you know the aesthetic of my Village was becoming increasingly more important we had all of the Necessities that we needed to survive it was time to make this place a lot nicer looking my adviser had even mentioned that if I make the peasants super happy they'll work a lot harder now that sounds like a good deal while I was doing my job of managing the village minding my own business I had gotten a letter from for my secret admirer I ended up finding out her name was Agnes and she wanted to meet up so much for being my secret admirer she gave her identity away I honestly was fine with this but I wasn't going to go out of my way to talk to her so I just continued working on the village and actually ended up expanding my territory it looks like we have a lot more spaces for houses now the first construction I made in the new territory was a road there happened to be an iron deposit in the new space it only made sense to build a road semi close to it so we could utilize it when we needed to I was honestly getting a little bit too ahead of myself I should finish up the Town Square before moving into the new territory oh who am I kidding Let's expand it seemed like our main goal was to keep increasing the population so I could start getting more taxes as well as having more workers to utilize the land I wanted this Village to expand and I wanted it to expand quickly especially if Agnes ever made her way over here I got to at least have an impressive Village am I right while I was busy caring about expanding and the Aesthetics of my Village I had completely neglected that some of my food might be being wasted I had such a huge farm that was producing loads of food but I didn't have enough villagers to eat it this made me decide on building a granary that way a lot of food wouldn't go to waste and I could also save it for the winter hm what else can I build I know I can finally work on the Town Square these flowers should do that'll definitely increase the desirability of living in the houses closest to the Town Square this place is really coming together I completely forgot that I also unlocked a coal maker this would be able to provide the houses with coal during the winter now that's going to be a necessity so I decided to look for a place to build one well if this uses wood and it's going to make the area undesirable to live I might as well put it away from all the population right over where the Lumberjack is this area was so secluded and far away from everything that I was able to place it without having it interfere with any roads or houses got to make sure people can get to it now you might be wondering why does it matter if the Smoke Gets onto the road well if any Travelers are coming that'll be their first perspective of the city the road's being clouded by smoke also we're going to expand over there I don't want my villagers to have to deal with constant smoke in their faces while they're doing their jobs I really liked how the village was coming together we were in the middle of improving Our Town Square there was a residential area an agricultural area and even a few resource Gathering spots we were so close to 20 villagers hey speaking about villagers two more just joined the kingdom this unlocked our settlement to be recognized as a small village the concept of nobility a Messengers Guild a sawmill and weat I was a little surprised though we only had 18 villagers not 20 quite yet I would have imagined that we would have unlocked these buildings and Technologies at around 20 villagers hey I guess I'm not complaining it looked like my nobility reputation was around 30 this meant that I could potentially use these points to swayed the villagers to vote on a certain topic or react a certain way I was even given a quest to potentially earn some more nobility the only issue is if I didn't get it done I would lose some so I ended up declining the quest as it seemed like it had a lot to do with farming to be honest I probably could have taken it and gotten the job done but I wasn't sure and I didn't want to risk anything especially with the village growing so fast it seemed like I always had something to build whether it was housing food related resource Gathering there was always something this time it was a messenger Guild this building was pretty self-explanatory I would be able to send messages from it the only thing is I really didn't have anyone to send messages too the only person I could really think of is is Agnes I ended up placing it right in the middle of the Town Square and then I was wondering why I did that so I tried looking for a new location for it that's when I decided to place it next to the Inn this plot seemed as good as any but it also ruined the potential of building a nice path directly to the Stoney it's kind of ironic the building that's supposed to send out messages quickly is actually preventing Stone from being delivered the gold pieces in my Village were getting scarce I was spending quite a lot on upkeep and also I was expanding rather quickly this now meant that I wasn't going to be be able to place down buildings instantly like I was before I'm going to have to wait some time and set up some blueprints for them it also didn't help that I was doing things like accidentally ordering the destruction of my well I had to invest some good wood and stone into building another one the stone that we were gathering felt like it was taking forever to be delivered or at least it felt like it was being pumped out slowly so I tried to solve this issue by building a path directly to the stone querry and on the other end of it was a stockpile this meant that the stone was going to get there a lot more quickly now at least I hope let's go some new villagers arrived right as I accepted the new villagers I was pretty ecstatic I had now reached a population of 20 this was pretty awesome the only thing is I only had one more bed available in the village so that meant I was going to have to end up building one of the houses that I laid a blueprint out for thankfully enough I had some resources saved up if it didn't it wouldn't be the end of the world as I had 10 more days until more villagers would arrive I unfortunately would only be able to grow the population by one if that was the case so it only made sense to prepare in advance for that day out of nowhere it started to rain this was a little bit weird because it didn't rain all summer or spring I was anticipating it to rain a lot more in the summer because that's when it usually does this storm was already going on for around 2ish days now the crops are definitely watered enough I hope it stopped soon unfortunately it didn't another day had gone by and it was still pouring my poor Builders had to construct a house soaking wet and look at these Stone miners they're hitting away even in the storm the citizens of vortia were the best they worked hard even in rough conditions that's why I want to keep expanding the population and make the village even bigger and bigger I don't know how I didn't realize it but two of my houses weren't receiving enough water now you see that's kind of ironic to say because it was just raining for the last few days and we were also near a pretty large body of water I was starting to realize we also had a huge Stone deficit I needed to build a well and I was still working on building The Messengers skilled it hadn't been constructed yet because we didn't have enough stone at least on the bright side we get two more villagers now to help out building it I assigned the first one as the second stockpile keeper it's always at the moments that you least expect it but right as I was in the middle of admiring my city I had gotten a message one of my informants had let me know that there was a greedy financial adviser who was hogging a lot of coins in the village I ended up using a small amount of my nobility reputation to acquire a good chunk of that gold diplomatically who would have guest being a noble is very profitable this generous donation from the financial adviser was going to help out the village big time this will definitely cover the cost of most of our big construction projects coming up it was also the very first day of winter this was super exciting but I didn't really have any coal thankfully enough my secret Santa had come in clutch he gifted around 35 coal to the Village this would definitely be enough to last quite a while it's kind of funny though because usually for Christmas you don't want coal but in this in this case we need it the first day of winter had not even gone by yet but the whole village was completely covered in snow unfortunately we wouldn't be able to grow any crops during this time what I had stored away was going to have to last us until the end of the season I clearly didn't have any stone tucked away for the winter especially since the messenger building still wasn't constructed the well that was supposed to support the two new homes with water also wasn't finished I really need to go over there and start yelling at these Stone miners they're not producing enough Goods it also seemed like there wasn't really too much that we could do during the winter everything felt like it was slowing down and we couldn't even grow any crops the only thing that seemed to be going on was a transportation of food and goods let's hope nobody slips on the trails I don't think we have Village Insurance actually wait it doesn't matter we don't have a courthouse I am the law despite the constant barrage of snowfall two peasants had arrived at my Village and joined our kingdom becoming villagers I really have no idea how they they got here in all the snow and the frozen rivers but all I have to say is that I'm glad they came it'll definitely help out around here having more hands weirdly enough my secret Santa stried again this time he delivered me a 100 vegetables I really wonder who it is and why they keep sending Goods over I was definitely exploring the possibility that it might be agnet and she was just trying to make the winter a lot easier on the village I mean that would make sense she is a princess after all and has a lot of power My Messenger out post had finally received enough Stone to fully be constructed the only issue is I needed to provide some planks I didn't even realize that this building needed planks as it looked like it was just ordinary wood that was required well I guess you got to do what you got to do so I started to look for a place to construct a sawmill this building is definitely going to make the area around it be a lot less desirable the reason being is that it's going to produce a lot of noise while sawing all the logs I made sure to place it away from all the houses in the Industrial Area before I even realized it I was running very low on wood we also had used around half of our coal Supply this is going to be a very challenging winter I hope we survive if you want to get more involved in the vorti community check out my Discord linked down below there's some incredible
