I mounted a diamond wheel on a bench grinder and made a custom tool rest for it

[Music] right okay it's running actually quite a little bit of wobble this will be the plate [Applause] yep [Applause] so [Music] this one is kind of smooth it's a little tiny all right [Laughter] uh probably should have done this before i cut the thing you also have this coming obviously [Laughter] little bit small i guess so good so okay a little bit maybe it's a little tall okay that's not too bad uh let's make a nice tiny nut for this one yep something is moving hold on so ah oops lovely ah so [Laughter] not too bad not too shabby oh my god no i made another mistake whoops oh my god [Music] um um okay back to the table zoom focus hopefully now moment of truth okay here we go but it's okay okay okay that looks pretty good i think it's time to prepare base [Applause] good ah [Music] okay yeah so okay oh my god jesus no i'm not using this one jesus christ okay so so [Music] okay so unfortunately i should have seen it the breath knobs don't have enough man my hands are dirty don't have enough force i can loosen it very very easily i think that's a probably a bad design on my my part but what i'm gonna do instead so it's going to be less convenient but for the time being i'm gonna use some hex screws which will be much stronger uh okay that looks pretty good that looks fine okay back to the lace [Music] [Music] [Music] this [Music] okay let's go very nice okay this this tool is quite pointy so the finish is not going to be very delicious but let's uh be a little bit ambitious okay not too bad not too bad but that's aluminum so it's not very let's try something else [Music] not bad finish is terrible but to be expected [Music] [Music] yeah baby get my tiny little squirrel-ish now i need you really need to fix the this the squareness of the disc somehow but i don't know how to do it i think yeah let me try one more thing before we continue okay i i took the back plate off because i think it's driving everything out of square which means it's not gonna have as much uh support and it's going to be louder but i think it's going to be more concentric let's see yeah already better now we'll square you see lovely jubbly square but it's super loud and the disc flexes so i need i need to uh i think i need to order the real the back plate that comes with these diamond discs so my friends uh i'm going to i'm going to finish this video here because uh even though the disc is not running perfectly true i don't i don't want to wait another month or so even longer until i get this video out there so let's let's do it uh but yeah thank you very much for watching this is a really cool addition to the shop as you can see here i'm contemplating on how do i put the safeguard on uh so we see we'll see how we do that yeah i'm been meaning to make it a little bit more safe if you know what if you catch my drift wow thank you very much for watching oh my god and i'll see you in the next video right
