I Made a Lana Del Rey Song Without Hearing it

hi guys happy little day today now welcome to the channel my name is Devin today I'm going to make a song without being able to hear it at all I'm going to try to make a Lana Del re song that sounds just like her and normally how I do it is I have you guys hear it the whole time but I'm the only one who can't hear it but everyone in the comments is over here like what if we couldn't hear it either hey what if we couldn't hear it maybe we'd like to be surprised too actually ever think of that ever think of that we don't want to hear it so I'm like actually that's a really good idea so you guys won't be able to hear either you're going to have to watch me do it and I'm going to have to talk about it the whole time and then we're all going to listen together at the end stuff in a lana song there's uh maybe there's definitely strings she has a lot of songs with strings uh slow song we're going to have to bump that BPM way down quirky vocals she's got a lot of different types of vocal delivery and like it or not you know people are like wow what the hell's wrong with her um you're you wish you could pull that off I'll say you wish you could pull off some of the things that she does no one's trying some of the stuff she does sometimes danger CRA before we get to head of ourselves let's just bump that BPM way down let's put it down to like 70 Lana loves a slow song she loves to really let it slowly burn she loves a slow long song it's like man hurry up sometimes with these songs that was good hey that was actually funny you see my issue guys lately is that I just just keep saying these jokes but the problem is they're not jokes at all I just say normal stuff with a funny voice and then go hey that's actually a really funny joke it's not a joke cuz there's no punches it's no funny joke I took a class on jokes I went to film School took a class on late night comedy writing couldn't learn how to tell me to tell joke my professor over here I'm writing I'm turning in monologue jokes I'm turning in on liners every week they're like what's the joke you're just saying stuff you're just saying stuff that happened there's no joke I'm like you can't it's cuz you're not reading it in my voice and now I'm just sitting here jok less should have listened to someone let's try to go for a slow sample I think this is we're going to go G minor today fine with of like this idea how about we take a really fast sample and throw that in there cuz 140 is just 70 in double time ever think of it that way 140 is just 70 * 2 and that's what's kind of funny about it so dumb as if as if I didn't just learn that if I were one of these people that makees stuff on spice first of all that's kind of like a dream you just make noise for a living that's awesome number two you could just prank people people like me who maybe they're like in the office maybe they're in the airport or maybe they're just doing it for fun where they can't hear the song while they're making it but they still want to make a song I would just name stuff random stuff like oh this has got to be a kick drum and it's just a chainsaw that would be funny let's have a snare let's let's indulge ourselves let's treat ourselves to a little snare drum sometimes in this song L over here like come on no no no I think at this point Lana would like a snare I think she has songs with drums it's not like she doesn't like drums guys guys relax see what I did right here guys is uh you know there's this thing in music called uh tension and release you know you want to really build some tension so that you can release it really keep them on their toes you can't just give them everything at once you really need to build some tension and release it there's this thing in music called hey why don't I just take out some random stuff right here and then put it back in and when Jesus Christ lady can someone put a muzzle on this thing am I right guys you guys would not believe how long I went on talking about freaking tension and release and and goosebumps and music frion the science of Goosebumps I'm not even going to I had to cut it down a lot let's just say a lot yeah you know sometimes people tell me is there something wrong with you like you don't really know when to stop talking is do you have like a thing with silence like you just don't like it and I'm like what are have something wrong with you I think we got a good backbone for the instrumental right here I think we've got more than enough so I say now how about we take a deep breath and we really try to think like Lana thinks and really really just pour our heart out into some tender lyrics about a lost lover or something so Lana likes to talk about America I feel like Florida uh she like soda older
