I Learned to do Dream's Insane Boat MLG

[Music] that was dream pulling off the craziest stunt i've ever seen could an average guy like me pull it off dream's video doesn't actually show us how high he is but if we run it through some editing software his drop time is exactly 2.33 seconds we can take this number and put it in a single player world and this gets us exactly 80 blocks tall we also need to find how far away the second pillar is by zooming in and counting the blocks we can see it's eight blocks away from the first pillar we then align this with the previous clip and dreams clip to get exactly where the crafting table will be now we should have an identical setup to what dream was dealing with the only caveat is that dream got hit by sapnap while jumping off for my experiments i will just be jumping forward this should have a close to identical trajectory this is dream's boat clutch attempt one here we go here we go it might have looked like i clicked out of the crafting table but one of the reasons this trick is so spectacular is because there's a maximum distance for crafting if you get pushed far enough away from a crafting table via water or falling then minecraft will automatically kick you out of the crafting window you could tell i was surprised what and this time frame is extremely tiny let's just see how long you have to craft that's zero time to craft what no you might think that dream is extremely skillful and he is that's insane but the difference between this on single player and multiplayer is drastic that's not enough time to craft this is how long i get to craft on single player and this is how long dream gets to craft in multiplayer the difference is huge i tried to replicate this on my server but since the pc that runs the server also runs minecraft the lag time was less which is usually good but in this scenario that's less time to crack so after many deaths and frantic clicking i started forming a strategy and the first step to this strategy was making my inventory exactly like dreams if we examine the footage dream was about to craft a boat so he knew exactly where the wood was this was one slot down and two slots over from the bottom right of the crafting window dream's hotbar was also filled except for one slot this is important because his hand was on that slot so he could shift click the boat into his hand so as funny as it sounds i set up my entire inventory like green this way i'd get the best shot of being able to craft a boat in the air i grabbed the wood this is impulsive after dozens and dozens of attempts i was beginning to have doubts are you kidding me this is literally insane i can't even get it in the crafting table get in the crap i'm breaking this skill up into two parts the quick craft and the boat clutch and i'm starting with the hardest one the crafting so he goes over here first and then shift clip very important start left to right shift click in that's how you do it okay first official boat time craft go i did it wrong [Music] okay so this is my best craft so far and this is how fast dream does it so i'm getting close but oh my gosh that is quick slowly but surely i was actually making progress and while you might occasionally craft a trapdoor a button or a slab i got quicker and quicker oh that was so good [Music] okay i think it's actually possible this is my fastest craft and this is dreams i'm so close the only thing is i didn't start with the wood in the right spot but one time i didn't start in the right spot here's the problem you have to craft a you most of the time i swoop up too early and i just make that now that i felt comfortable with crafting i moved on to the boat clutches and these threw me off a lot more than i thought they would yes oh do you have to double click as it turns out you have to click place it and click to get in it otherwise you take the same folder just like before i slowly got better and better this was my first one yeah okay there we go i think i just start spamming too fast and then i can't oh yeah you just gotta be controlled controlled controlled controlled oh yes it's not about the spamming that was two my goal is three three in a row come on come on no and then here comes two the plan after three in a row yes okay there's two is to only allow myself two clicks yes there's three let's go oh that was two clicks one two oh yes oh my gosh i'm doing way better than i was before that's like four in a row and i even got one at twice the height [Music] i was ready for the craft and clutch since my lag wasn't as good as dreams was i won't jump to the crafting table i'll jump craft it and then land the club oh yeah i can do that it is really challenging though i encourage you guys to try this oh i was so close i couldn't get the boat yet so we're gonna start with a pressure plate then slabs then i got a pressure plate let's go i got slabs and i placed it learning how to do this took several hours and over 300 deaths that's not including the crafting practice this puts in perspective how incredible dreams clutch was yes [Applause] [Music] yes oh according to youtube statistics people liked this video better than most on I was a bit sus about Dream’s trick originally but with all this:

-The trick is possible

-Dream has said he practices tricks like this to use in manhunts in his own time

-Manhunts are reset if Dream dies early (though he pays hunters an undisclosed amount of money every time that happens) so it was worth the risk

I think it was totally plausible

Just read the desc of the full manhunt. He only had the UI advantage bc of it not being a Vanilla server. So technically, you are better than dream...
