I Found the Windows XP Wallpaper!

a couple of months ago i visited the location where the windows xp wallpaper was taken but it didn't look the same anymore what the the windows xp wallpaper bliss is the most famous photo ever taken and i wanted to capture a photo to rival it but since the original location was no longer the same i turned to the next best thing a photographer's paradise known for its green rolling hills it's called the palouse every year people travel from around the world to the palouse just to photograph its mesmerizing grassy hills that coincidentally look awfully similar to the windows xp wallpaper so my friends and i hopped on a plane to washington to capture the most famous photo ever taken [Music] all right we made it to seattle we're waiting for taylor to pick us up which is weird because he always comes to us i don't even know what kind of car to look for my my my turntables from seattle it was a five hour drive to eastern washington so to keep ourselves entertained we decided to stop off the road whenever we saw something interesting hey how are you going to get up i haven't thought that through yet oh baby hold me like it smells really bad there's little on my shoe this doesn't look anything like the windows wallpaper all right jake fun road trip montage go make a snow angel come on yay you're doing it backwards look at that view [Music] all right let's get out of here we got some green hills okay that is the hill it's just like we got some black grass we got green rumor has it he's going to cut that part out come on you got it i'll do it for you athleticism [Music] you here is insane well this is freaking crazy yeah it's one of the coolest places i've ever been to i feel like i'm in iceland [Music] you're looking pretty good right now yeah i'm talking to you the following morning we woke up early to watch the sun rise over the palouse jacob time to wake up good morning all right we woke up at 4 30 in the morning to catch the sunrise here and it's a little bit windy but we made it to police it's also very brown i thought it would be greener i'm out i'm out oh i don't think i've ever oh do you think we got something good there no our trip was off to a bad start not only were we freezing and tired but also it was too early in the season there were only a few green hills little did we know our problems were about to get a lot worse [Music] oh this would be so cool it was green it's supposed to be green all right well i was really hoping this was this was going to be green there were some scattered green hills that we looked for it almost worked get any clouds there's no clouds but to be honest we were trying to convince ourselves that we could get a good photo when the conditions were just not right what is the point of this thing like there's a few decent places yeah there's been a few good hills it's not exactly what we were expecting then disaster struck [Music] yeah it's like it's like scraping on the the rotors when the brake clamps here i'll drive it we're having some car troubles this is what we get for driving on dirt roads all of yesterday he's trying to try to get the the rock out of jesus calm down i don't think going faster in circles is going to do anything all right we got to get the brakes serviced so first of all your rotors are completely worn out and you got no pad thanks for calling evergreen tire at first we were told the car would be fixed in a couple of hours but soon it was clear it wouldn't be ready until the next day bye car please get fixed tomorrow morning please please get fixed everything that could go wrong is going wrong we need to get back for our flight what are we going to do try to get a good photo tomorrow morning that's about all i can wait we have one we have one hour to get the windows xp wallpaper the problem was our flight home was the next day and we weren't even sure if we were going to make it back on time we've been waiting for our car for 24 hours what an l this trip has now become like a we need to get home in time to catch our airplane versus we need to finish this video 24 hours later we finally got the car it deals with 50 later now we got to go home though the trip's over and just like that we failed but it wasn't the end we decided we needed to complete this mission so we waited a couple of months for the season to change and headed back to the palouse [Music] it's green [Music] yes with the conditions finally right we had two things we needed to accomplish first we had to find a hill that looked similar to the windows xp wallpaper also we wanted to capture as many alternative photos as possible of the palouse so that you guys can download them as your wallpapers so we're just driving down the hill and like the first thing we see is that looks pretty close to windows xp wait the first pull we stop at yeah this is this is it yeah oh my god this is amazing this is amazing [Music] [Music] we spent like four days here in april trying to get the shot and we spent one hour here we made it inside of the wallpaper you might think that this matter trip was over but to us it meant things were just getting fun we still had two full days in the palouse so we started hunting for other wallpapers [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] remember what you used to say there is a group of dogs running at us they look very territorial oh you're
