I FOUND RARE BEANIE BABIES IN MY MOM’S GARAGE!

hello everyone i'm colleen ballinger and i don't think i have ever been this excited for a youtube video in my entire youtube career i've been on the internet for over a decade and this video has been something i have been looking forward to doing and thinking about doing for years you might notice behind me a pile of beanie babies and even back there there are two huge buckets full to the brim of beanie babies and behind these two bins of beanie babies there are trash bags full of beanie babies and that is because i collected beanie babies as a child i was obsessed with them i collected all types i had the huge big beanie babies the random little animals this one is missing the tag so obviously this one is worthless this one has its tag random animal beanie babies and even the mcdonald's beanie baby collection i collected all of these as well i had them all yes most of the mcdonald's ones are still in their packaging because i was told i was swindled one might say i was duped i was scammed by the beanie baby company just like we all were here in america because we were told that these bags of beans would be worth millions of dollars someday if we bought them and so we all bought them all of us collectively in america we're like we're gonna be billionaires if we just buy a bunch of beanie babies and put plastic on the tags well they lie because now i have thousands of beanie babies and i have no dollars to show for the beanie babies it's honestly one of the most genius scams i have ever experienced in my lifetime because they're not wrong if you keep all your toys from your childhood in mint condition yeah in 30 40 50 100 years they're gonna be worth a lot of money if they're rare so for example i am so sad that i did not keep my barbie dolls in mint condition because i feel like they'd be worth a lot of money now the barbies from the 80s and 90s but of course they all went in the trash i can't make any money on those i also collected the beanie baby trading cards by the way and um those are obviously trash and worth nothing but i have those too but today we're focusing on the beanie babies although i know it's an ongoing joke on the internet that all the beanie babies we all bought are worthless i have a feeling that some beanie babies must be worth something so i'm going to go through all of my beanie babies from my childhood and i'm gonna see if any of them are worth anything maybe i have a rare beanie baby guys maybe i have a collector's item in my midst and i didn't even know it like my mom has been holding these in her garage for years and years and years decades even collecting dust but girl most these beanie babies still have their tag protectors on them so maybe they're worth a little bit of money so please join me today as we go through my entire beanie baby collection and see if we can make any money i honestly don't even know where to start i'm really overwhelmed before i start i do want to say this my mom and i were talking about these beanie babies last night and we never collected them because we thought we were going to become rich we collected them because we thought they were cute we thought it was fun and it was like a really wonderful bonding thing between me and my mother i was like maybe 12-ish when we started collecting beanie babies i was getting into that age where i was like becoming a teenager and being too cool for school this was the one thing i remember vividly from my childhood being so important to me and my mom and we would go and wait in line at toy stores at hallmark stores on the day that they would launch a new collection of beanie babies and we would wait together we'd get smoothies together and stand in line and talk and get excited and then buy all the new ones and look at them and get home and put our tag protectors on them and it was just like such a fun mother-daughter experience that we had together my mom never intended to sell any of these neither did i we just loved them we thought they were cute and it was something that we shared as mother and daughter we certainly were not trying to get rich from these but now i'm gonna try to get rich from these so let's take a look okay let's get started so i have read up on a ton of different articles on my phone for the past couple days to find out what beanie babies are actually worth anything it's hard to find actual answers because it seems like you have to find like defects in certain beanie babies and they also have to be in mint condition which these have all been shoved in a box now a lot of them had tag protectors at one time in their life but i don't know if they do anymore it looks like a lot of them are missing my mother clearly did not take care of these in the way that they were intended to be taken care of but still i'm holding out hope that some of these are worth something the best website i found to see if there's actually any value in any of these beanie babies was on wealthygorilla.com and the article is the 20 most expensive beanie babies in the world all right so number 20 is humphrey the camel i don't know if i have humphrey the camel i don't remember having that one but apparently is one of the original nine beanie babies but generally the price ranges greatly and the rarest will sell from anywhere between 500 to 1200 all right i'm gonna start looking these are all like the teddy bears see the thing is i feel like these are mostly the new ones how am i supposed to find anything in here this is not organized i have a big trash bag of some right here i'm gonna dump them out oh my god i thought those were mini babies and it was a bag of clothes i wanted to donate i hate myself literally a bag of clothes i wanted to donate is now on the fly anyway i don't think we had humphrey the camel so i'm moving on to the next one employee the bear so they introduced employee in 1995 employee the bear was given to the company's sales representatives as a token gesture there are only 300 produced and roughly half the bears wear a green ribbon and the other half wear red i obviously don't have that one because i was not an employee fan nana the monkey i feel like i had this one this beanie baby was released in 1985 and soon went into retirement which was due to the name change and re-released to bongo the monkey the original version can be identified by seeing if nana is printed on the tush tag and it won't come with a poem i think i have this one guys so i just have to find it okay maybe i should look through and see which ones i'm looking for and then look through them all instead of looking through them all every single time well i don't know should i do that yeah i'm gonna do that so we're looking i think i have that monkey so we're gonna try to find that monkey number 17 is peace the bear i know i had peace peace the bear was introduced in 1997 was taken off the market three years later it was handed out as a promotion during a baseball game okay then i definitely didn't get that one if you manage to find one without a piece symbol on the chest then grab it it's extremely rare could be around five thousand dollars snort the red bull i think i had snort the red bull could be worth sixty five hundred dollars in 1997 tai was facing a copyright infringement lawsuit on one of the popular beanie babies at tabasco so they decided to change its name to snort the red bull to avoid any penalties you can find one of these for sale on most online auction houses for around the above mentioned price which is like i said 6 500. i think i have that one so we need to look for that one gobbles the turkey which i don't see gobbles a turkey but right away i see this chicken i know i had gobbles i know i had gobbles i remember getting goggles oh god i got gambles i have gobbles i know gobbles in this pile okay wait is that cobbles no it's a bird okay gobbles the turkey comes in a few different variations he either comes with a double or single layer felt waddle and his tail feathers were attached this is one of the beanie babies that could be worth a fortune or could be worth the regular price it all really depends on which one you have if you have one with a proper placement and tag errors you're on a winner oh my god okay so we gotta find that one peanut the elephant i don't think i had peanut halo the bear i know factually i remember getting halo i loved halo i remember the feeling of halo's wings i don't think you guys understand how obsessed i was with beanie babies i do have halo i know i do halo's one of the first special edition bears to be created by tai it's meant to symbolize a child's guardian angel if you can get one from 1998 with a white star printed on its fur or one with errors on the tush tags you could be laughing all the way to the bank well i do remember getting that one i don't remember okay we're gonna have to look for it mcdonald's international bears i have all the mcdonald's bears oh my god we're in the money these aren't worth anything today however the exclusive line of bears they created are wait what the mcdonald's exclusive line of teeny beanie babies is made up of four individual bears that represent four different countries britannia from britain maple from canada aaron from ireland and glory from the u.s so if you've got one of those lying around in its original package then you'll be happy to know it could be worth ten thousand dollars what wait which ones are these because i feel like i had all these when i have all these [Music] mom get in here wait do we have something we might hold on i haven't even looked for them yet but one of the things that says these international bears but it says if it's in its original packaging it could be up worth up to ten thousand dollars oh mom why'd you take it out of the package they were in the package for years oh my god do we have any other in packaging i am gagging at this so so far mom my mom's here we're looking for humphrey the camel i have one for you you do okay don't look at that look at it we'll come back i'll we'll go through them one at a time i know we have all these i know that's what i'm saying okay patty the platypus i know we have however she's not worth all that much in general one particular color variation magenta is considered to be really rare therefore worth a lot more so if we have the magenta version iggy the iguana i know we have iggy the iguana if you manage to find one with missing print inside the tag hold on to it it's worth a fortune brownie the bear i don't think we had brownie the bear hippy hippity hoppity and floppity the bunnies you have these i have bunnies i know i have a hoppity valentino i know but it's they have to have a misprint on it so like we have this one but let's see there's a certain batch of valentino bears that had their names misspelt inside the tag and so then they're more valuable if you managed to find one you could be looking at selling for around forty two thousand dollars i don't think that's true i think it depends on if it's been in a glass cage with like a tag protector and so i don't think any of ours that have been stuck in a dusty bucket are going to be worse oh and we've played that much lefty the donkey and ready the elephant i don't think we had those piccadilly attic i don't remember that one that's cute bubbles we have bubbles it's fine it's not worth it okay it says it's worth 130 000 but no way the third generation bubbles has the wrong color thread around its mouth fourth generation has incorrect tush tags are all the first generations like when they first came out we'll see we'll see we'll see and then the 15 inch piece which i know we have it's this size piece bear and the nine inch piece ringo and bones and then princess is not worth 500 000. everyone has princess diana it has a purple body and features a white rose on the chest i literally have that one everyone has it one large wall of senate squad six hundred thousand i know we have that one it's right here it's literally right here but and his squad we have little ones six hundred that's not true for six hundred thousand you'll get a rare large size wallace and two regular so these are ones that are selling someone's trying to sell this for six hundred thousand so i could say i'm selling this for five hundred thousand dollars right okay so what we're gonna do right now is we're gonna look through and see if we can find any of these we're gonna start digging i remember thinking these two were gonna be worth a lot i'm gonna put the ones i thought were gonna be worth a lot over here and this one says it's worth something so i'm gonna put her over here kangaroo no tag mom it's missing oh i found the mini one to the big one this bunny i feel like is worth something and it's got a tag protector on it oh i don't know i feel like this bunny's worth some money honey here's the canada one and it's not in the box sorry oh these are really cute the froggy i think is that was like a first generation queen also look for tags that look different like if you see a tag that looks strange like if it doesn't have the star on it did you see a bunny yeah but no tag oh mother he's a little bull did you see him yes yes that's no this is it oh my gosh [Music] did you say this fish no there's halo this is halo this one was this one's a good one i remember the feeling of this like i remember this one in particular so this is in this is the beginning this is like the y2k bear i remember being excited for it to come out yeah and i remember when it came out i remember the feeling of it like that's so bizarre but there's men mother why are these in the box they were in boxes for so long and i of the first ones ever made i think it's named chip let's see if i remembered correctly yep it's chip i loved chip and chip's one of the originals so i feel like that'd be worth something [Music] 1996 okay rachel's one of her favorites oh my god oh my god mom i'm gonna slaughter you why because these are worth so much money and but is this one halo oh my god it's halo you guys we could be right now it's time to go see if these are worth anything okay so the first one in this article was humphrey the camel which we could not find the next was employ the bear which we do have it's this one oh my god okay so employ the bear it says there are only 300 bears produced and roughly half the bears wear a green ribbon and the other half wear red and magenta threading magenta threading doesn't have magenta threading mom all the bears tags are sewn in and it does not have any hanging tush tags at all darn it it has a hang on i have a hanging tooth we have a hanging touch tag but we still can see if this one's worth anything so this is the employee bear we only got it because it was purple that says 3 000 it's not worth that much yeah it's not one of the ones it should be i read online that you can just search online the beanie baby that you have and see what it's going for so here's an employee bear and it's going for a hundred dollars maybe you could sell for a hundred dollars mom which seems like a lot right like that's a lot of money yeah moving on nana the monkey did we find i don't think we found nana the monkey anywhere peace the bear which i know we have but i didn't see it when we were looking through everything the one with the peace sign didn't i show you all those i don't know guys we're missing some so snort the red bull okay oh so we have to look and see what the name is if it's tabasco we're in the money if it's snort we're not it's snort okay [Music] i'm gonna look it up anyway see you can see it online for 12 you can also find it online for 1.99 okay the next one gobbles the turkey which i didn't see i didn't see him peanut the elephant i did not see halo the bear halo what's that i feel like i saw two halos which one is it we have a giant one so this is halo what's that one halo 2 okay halo 2 is useless if you can get one from 1998 with a white star printed on its fur no darn it or with uh 1098 no tush tag hashtag or error on the tish tag how do you know if there's an error so we didn't get one of the collectors once but now we're gonna look it up online okay wait halo bears it looks like they're all going for a lot oh wait there's one for six dollars wait what color is the nose oh his nose is brown is that rare brown nose black eyes are they all brown nose black eyes errors we need to know how do you know if it has errors what do you mean errors what does it mean okay where's the error on this butt tag where's the error on this error multiple errors yeah we have we have one error we have an error mom we have an error because there's a space after the yeah there is reg no pa 1965 korean market what are you talking about 1965 crane wait what do we have one are you kidding me red star on touch tag red star right yeah that says error circled r and tm on tush tag yeah ntm yeah so the only difference between this one and that one it should be gasport and r says gosport oh my god guys we're gonna become millionaires okay well they're selling it for 450. that's almost a millionaire has the brown nose i think the brown nose means it's rare ah we're gonna beat hundred hairs because it's worth hundreds of dollars we're gonna put her over there okay so we're gonna try to figure out how much that one's worth i'll do some more research later wait a second what i am seeing hope the beanie baby yes for going for like two thousand dollars and that has been floating around my house this house corey always puts it somewhere random to like make me laugh and it's going for two thousand dollars on here oh i also know the pe pellets are like good and that one had people i think the halo bear is gonna be worth something the next one is the mcdonald's international bears yeah that one that one that one britain and then canada yeah yeah yeah canada yeah those two or you need four we need these three and there's one more see they're on their packaging mama mom in the original packaging they're worth fifteen hundred dollars two years ago i let the kids rip them open oh my god i am shook it to the core wait germania is 250. have it in the package oh my god these are actually worth something for real what if they're out of the package those were yeah and they're not worth anything oh my goodness should we make an eb account and sell these bad boys i am shook to the court mom these are legit rare like look at how much they're selling for online a lot wait but then this one's selling for 18 i still feel like you could sell them for a lot but that means part of your childhood would go away i'm so confused guys because i feel like some places say these are worth a lot i don't know okay thank god i don't know but i feel like they're not worth anything now because they're out of their packaging but i'm seeing them on ebay for like thousands of dollars hundreds of dollars but mostly thousands now they're just fun to play with but they used to be worth a lot when they're in packaging now we know now we know so these aren't worth anything so where do i put them they're worth something to me patty the platypus couldn't find find iggy the iguana that's the little thing this is iggy but this one's iggy too i think no this is rainbow some iggys have a tongue sticking out yes yes some are rainbow others are dark blue this is this is different other blue and the tugs are placed in different locations like the spine hand or foot oh yeah the spine oh yeah well i know but this isn't iggy this is iggy they're both iggy no rainbow you're right it looks like you can find it for 99 cents on ebay but see some of them say that they're like thousands of dollars how do you know how much yours is worth see this one's worth 4.99 that's see that one looks like mine but that one the tags on the foot so i feel like the the foot tag is more expensive space at the end of the poem between care and exclamation point yes no stamp inside the tush tags means not mass produced no stamp inside the tush tag oh there was a stamp in this one star next to the thai logo on the tush tag yes okay so some of the things seem rare i don't know this one could be worth something y'all but then i'm seeing other ones that are six dollars we have the third generation tie-dyed with tongue pastel color stamp inside the tish tag so this is the third generation is what we have and where's the rainbow one that one we have first generation let's look up rainbow and see how much rainbow's worth 44 45 rare so they're worth like 50 dollars this one seems this one seems like it's worth 50 bucks like everyone looks like they're selling it for fifty dollars yeah mom i feel like we might be making an ebay account tonight and selling some video movies brownie the bear we couldn't find hippie anything everyone has princess i even i literally have another one in my office upstairs see some wait what these are all selling for like three thousand dollars so first of all you have to look on the butt and see what pellets it has and it has pe pellets we're in the money that's good pe pals is good oh my gosh wait not a chance is that worth three thousand dollars five thousand dollars what are you talking about see some people are selling it for four dollars how do you know if it's worth something oh pe is worthless you wanted to say pvc pellets dang it so i thought we were so cool because we had pe pellets but you wanted it to say pvc so yeah large wallace and his squad okay let me look yeah no it's literally worth nothing five dollars seven dollars i don't know why they think that's worth anything i'm literally going to spend the rest of my night going through every single beanie baby in these boxes and looking to see if they're worth any money this is literally though it's like another bonding moment for us mom like we get to go through this all again but this has been really fun i will report back to you guys tomorrow and let you know if we found out any information about any of our priceless beanie babies but so far this is the winner chicken dinner i think she's worth 200 dollars i don't know i'm gonna do some research and we'll get back to you uh of dollars i guess maybe are not i'm so confused by it all it looks like people are buying beanie babies for hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars but then i'll find the exact same beanie babies with the exact same flaws for like a dollar that are sold on ebay so i don't really understand what's going on however i did find a woman who can tell you how much your items are worth and she does specialize in beanie babies so i'm wondering if i should hire her to see if my beanie babies are worth anything but she costs like hundreds of dollars an hour so if my beanie babies are worth nothing i will just waste hundreds of dollars so please let me know in the comments below do you want me to really investigate this and hire a woman who can tell me if my beanie babies are worth anything are
