hi my name is leima and i'm a real ignoramus and the thing is that i do not go to school and therefore i am very different from ordinary teenagers in this way how did this happen this is what my story will be about i was born into a family of circus performers and this is hereditary my grandparents were also members of the acrobatic troupe that is why it's in our blood by the way my mother even gave birth to me on tour right after the performance that is my life began within the walls of a circus can you imagine you don't need to be a superstitious person to understand my path and my destiny from the very beginning in general all my first years of life like its first minutes were spent in the circus even when i did not know yet any figures or colors i knew all acrobatic elements by heart granny in advanced years cope with the child of a circus i did some tricks every day and sometimes they weren't circus acts at all for example once i poured all my grandmother's shampoos and creams on the floor of the apartment to build a skating rink and another time i simply hung from the balcony on an elastic bandage to swing on an improvised swing when my grandmother refused to take me to the playground after school after a week my grandmother was ready to pay extra money to my parents so that they would take me back because her strength was not the same as it used to be and she could not cope with me and my first teacher who ironically was also my last teacher also shrugged me off in the very first days and said that she could not teach a child who stands on her head during class in the truest sense of the word do you think i was worried that no one liked me and everyone wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible yes i was very worried and i howled into my pillow at night but for a completely different reason it's just that i immediately realized that this was not my life i felt like a stranger here my place is in the circus next to my parents i miss them very much and wanted to get back to my old life as soon as possible after two weeks my parents were tired of listening to the endless whining my grandmothers and my teachers so they gave up and flew to get me however they asked me to think carefully am i sure that i want to give up my education and devote myself to the circus and i said yes with confidence that's why i love circus people especially my parents they do not live according to the generally accepted frameworks and laws and they think more broadly their thinking is more flexible not every parent would have gone to do this giving their little child the right to decide independently whether they need school and give them the right to leave it without finishing first grade right i know very well that many of you are now outraged by the behavior of my parents but i will not say whether it is good or bad right or not although i have a clear position on the issue it's just that every parent decides what's best for their child in general with many of you we live in different worlds although we walk along the same streets breathe the same air and speak the same language you have one reality i have another neither worse nor better than yours so comparing them is stupid and inappropriate anyway the school was left behind and i again joined the troop of my parents and they began to teach me more complex acrobatic elements and i just enjoyed it i loved watching my body turn into the obedient manner and doing things that made the hairs on my head stand on end in fact the secret of my success was simple self-discipline and the strictest self-control however as in all areas of activity after a year of my active work in the troop we again had a vacation lasting about six months and this time i had my own pretty good savings well you don't think i made a dime at the circus do you so initially i thought to spend this money to buy a cool camera to start studying photography and in the future perhaps to become a photographer whatever it was it never hurts to have an additional profession and an additional source of income when my parents found out about my plans they praised me but reminded me that i was not in school and i should try to catch up with my peers in the program at least partially because in the future i might want to study i thought about it and agreed with my parents so almost all of my savings went to the services of online tutors and distance photography courses after six months i was able to catch up with my peers in most school subjects and received a certificate of completion of the courses what can i say i was happy with the result but in fact i still did not have any documents confirming my knowledge of school subjects when the vacation was already over and we had planned several performances in the circus of our hometown during one of the rehearsals police officers with representatives of child services came to us they had a warrant to remove me from my family and place me in boarding school it was a shock to all of us they want to split me up with my parents why as it turned out the child services received information that i did not go to school my parents forced me to work and i do not have a definite place of residence this means that the rights of the child are completely violated in our family and it is simply dangerous for it to stay in such an environment right from the rehearsal they forced me into a car and took me to the reception center for troubled youth from which they sent me to a boarding school i stopped asking them to listen to me and let me go but was anyone interested in that the next two months of my life i spent in that terrible and disgusting institution among troubled children who were worse than animals i had to go through a lot of bad things there including beatings and bullying i was called a clown and a circus freak saying that these are the most shameful professions in the world once i was even forced to stand against the wall in the shower room and poured with ice water from a hose under strong pressure it was very excruciating and painful i don't know how long the abuse lasted but after that incident i ended up in the hospital my parents visited me there and said that they had hired a very cool lawyer who would soon help me to return to them but for now they only advise me to repeat the school curriculum school curriculum why do i need it in this godforsaken institution however i understood the meaning of my parents words a week later when i was called to the commission that was supposed to make a decision about my future fate my lawyer and my parents were also there during the commission one of its representatives gave me a test with questions on several subjects and asked me to solve them it took me about five hours all this time passed in great tension and i was afraid to forget something after the test the members of the commission asked me other questions about the school curriculum and soon they generally switched to our relations in the family and asked if my parents offend me and if they forced me to work in general after seven hours of torment we were allowed to go home together stating the fact that i was keeping up with the school curriculum which meant that i was studying but my parents were obliged to send my documents to one of the remote schools within a month so that at least formally i was enrolled there i immediately returned to the troop to my favorite work but due to the injuries i received in the boarding school i can't perform
