I Challenged Two Time Masters Champion Bubba Watson To A Match

hey guys this is Bryson deschambeau and welcome back to my Channel That's How We Do It partner let's go today I'm challenging Bubba Watson and his teammate Harold Garner to a 2v2 nine hole there's a Twist though every single hole is worth two thousand dollars with a total of twenty thousand dollars Bubba's team is playing for the Harold Barner foundation and we are playing for the Fox Valley Park things we'll probably have to cut out though but we'll have a good match here so I think we're gonna do just a match play sort of thing okay and uh we're we're thinking like for the money or whatnot I think it's just gonna go to charity 100 right so we're gonna do that I was thinking like a thousand bucks a hole nine holes okay perfect we'll do two thousand two thousand hole and then the closest pen we'll have uh a thousand dollar coaches to the pen perfect is that cool yeah all right guys we're just starting our match here on the back nine uh at Rich Harvest Farms definitely the more challenging nine that you'll see this week uh the tentho is going to be a par five uh reachable depending on the win and depending on how long you hit it some of these guys can get it there me I need a little bit of help uh it's a good hole gotta get your driver down on the left side a little narrow opening to a shallow green and yeah again like I said it can it can blow so you need a little bit of help from the wind but it's a good good opening hole I wouldn't mind starting here on the shotgun so let's get this match going oh good job man all right thanks Bubba I have half of this ain't gonna make it on YouTube is it pretty much but it's not gonna be in the video because everything he says is cut you know oh I just messed that up your Tracer my bad dude so an important thing to remember too when we're doing this is when you hit your drive we don't walk man I heard it a thousand times don't get in the way of the camera because we like to shot Trace you know what you did me tell you yeah you didn't tell him when he's not hitting just sit still I wasn't hitting the ball knock that part out there's nothing over there four just High stuff Tracer oh sorry they don't need to film that no you don't want to drive that's outside the screen is there anything over there yeah Children of the Corn over there oh yeah oh yeah very nice ride down the kisser messed up the Tracer I did mess it up everybody does it their first time it's fine I did it tonight last so went straight across huh yep should be fine hey Bubba you think we should play through I'm trying to do a video grew them this year so he dropped one so he's out of play he's walking way down there I'm waiting to see if I can uh somehow get close to this green and two this part five and I Gotta Wait anyway because Bryson he always thinks he can get there in two so well you thin the three woods so that's true that's true so maybe go ahead this is my five wood though so we're good you don't thin the five no okay makes a lot of sense y'all gonna be in trouble right there I'll tell you in a second it ain't a draw that's for sure it better not be we're gonna be in real trouble if it's drawing beautiful there it's so good bubba yeah so you didn't get there Bubba well it's a good angle to attack the third shot that's true oh be good oh nice Captain you showed up go yeah tactical Bubba try to give it rained here a lot yesterday so it might be soft but I got to go up this little hump and then back down and I always use a 63 degrees so wish me luck but I got to get up and down because Bryson's out of the hole so oh okay so I got a free run at this now go for it partner don't leave it short if I leave it short I'm walking in say that I might actually do it don't be a hero no it was almost oh good run I tried at least we tied a whole yeah I mean we both birdied so Bon and Bubba they gave each other those birdies I wasn't really thinking about was going to make it but we were generous and then I gave my Eagle putter run didn't go in but we're tied it's carryovers it's going to the next hole foreign [Music] Par Four for us long balls and then are you going for the green Herald no okay well well Harry and I'll give each other company hopefully on the far right on the right I'll stay close to each other and then you know Bob and I don't know we're not gonna stay close to each other it all comes down to the wind yeah but you gotta remember you got to fly it high and and most of the guys they had to get lucky going through the trees right so they didn't really fly unless it's downwind they didn't really fly over the trees you're you're in a different category but so most of the guys but they hit driver anyway because they were like if you hit 50 yards short of the green you're fine it's a little chip shop yeah it's not a big deal and it's tight it's tighter no it's very tight over there yeah oh boy that's dead yikes no I might be far enough that's too far left no I've been telling you it might be awesome that's nice HP so what's with that little foot flare I don't know you don't know make sure it gets the Tracer thing it's perfect the ropes have you ever noticed most of the tournaments the ropes get you every one of them so I gotta get this up in the air this has got to go over the trees quickly or you could go low yeah low riser foreign that's left no that's perfect [Laughter] he wasn't even looking anybody for watching you oh beautiful that looks good it ain't long but it ain't wrong you know what I'm saying that's pretty good well I haven't told one in a while we're not sure there's two there go hard too hard look at this guy it landed on the flat I want to land it into that slope so it's just five yards not too bad hey baba I can't hear you so far away your airplane's flying over oh okay I'm just right here just letting you know okay cameras can do tricks they can so you're laying two right oh yeah I think this is wet I don't think I can fly it up I mean I'm saying get under it I'm saying yeah trying to get off that water that's 17 footer actually up the hill like a percent and a half two percent almost yeah I got it exactly where you're standing eight inches out seven inches out is this your second equal Putt in a row second Eagle Putt in a row it comes with a cookie what'd he just say don't matter if you don't make it baby that's very true oh oh wow no way he got the number wrong come on man you gotta make this though I ain't putted in a minute yep no no all right what's the spot do I don't know but I'm gonna hit it thing out and make this thing real four grand y'all real money now I'll get up for that y'all couldn't get the Tracer I was too busy getting the ball out of the hole oh today's wind is going to play a little downwind uh we had some rain overnight so probably not as tough as it might play later this week I'd say right around the 190 200 yard Mark I got to keep it below the hole this greens can be diabolical depending on the pin position we've got a pretty simple pin right in the middle so yeah go straight at it keep it below the hole leave yourself an apple pot that's the way to go oh stay there that should be stay there all right catch a piece yeah oh it did catch a beast I was really hoping it wouldn't oh hey I'm gonna blame you for four thousand dollars I hope come on bond be good left okay shot Bud yeah beautiful thanks I'm about to dream though how much time when do you think it is hey bye you're talking about it what that's a good layup that's another favorite hit me [Music] is this the closest the pinhole or Fairway hit you won that but I won the Fairway hit that's an extra 500. looks good Push It win push it very nice no wait wait oh flat out chunk that when I moved the ball back I just pushed it down into a little piece and then I just tried to go after it a lot harder and I hit the big ball before the small ball doesn't usually go over well when that happens all right so embarrassing got about a 35 40 yard shot let's get that Bushnell on that see what we can get we're the 54 yards of Milling this four yard shorts a 50-yard shot Let It Roll right in the hole a little left to right a bond it's left to right up there isn't it it is did you laser this on a par three yeah okay good oh too much sauce a little bit more protein you could have got it there it's too much sauce good shot dang man oh my gosh nope okay good rule I'm gonna say it like that oh man we've already lost a thousand this also I know so but this is for what six six thousand right here all I'm hitting Cuts so that's good that's on the green I agree it's something I agree that was good there's something all right guys we've got a fin that's kind of sitting in a bowl wins back in there's a bunker guarding it short of it so even how soft it is I'm just gonna try and land it couple years past the whole ideally use that backstop so 45 playing closer to 50. a little bit of flight let's see what we can do here oh my God that was a terrible golf swing shop on get up no I think you hit the green I gotta go back into the breeze out of the rough looks like the pin short-sided close to the bunker other than that it's simple and I've got I'm gonna try to chip this 56 degree 105 huh back into the breeze oh that's nice oh that's pretty good for me easy par that actually was good for me that was pretty good I'll tell you I was nervous I'm trying to fly just over there I'm gonna play a 56 degree trying to keep the spin off of it landed right in the hole and that's about it so is this the same length is like your seven iron or what are these different yeah this one the same like as my forearm same all of them even your slab wedge or whatever it is you have 73 what's a ten o'clock 95 not 90. so there's a 15 so it's gonna be 9 30. yeah yeah just over 9 30. are you trying to land it short and skip it up are you trying to fly I'm gonna try and land it right next to the hole what club is this again 56 9 30 boom oh B sit down oh my God go in go go in go in please go in please go in I'll take that I'll take that Bubba good you're welcome partner just for the record that was at least 10 30. you saw where that was that was so far up there oh oh okay that was dirty phenomenal right there so just to give you guys reference the ball was right here Harold was nice enough to give it to me he's a sweetheart come on though peel one in there doggy peel one in there I left it short yeah go oh my gosh well he didn't wanna I want to let y'all win a hole you know bold butter have a winning it's only for you know four grams two grand yeah turning pretty decent don't let them win a hole man put that thing you know how to putt roll the peel baby roll the pill partner scratch gosh I Fairway it is a great hole it's a tight Fairway if you don't hit it like 320 or whatever once you get to 320 it like kind of opens up but there's water left if you hit a 320. a shorter you can still be okay into the shot on the green but you got to get it up there to have like an iron in if not you're gonna be in the hybrid end hitting at 300 or 280 ft so you got to get it down there past a couple trees simple thing is just hit a bomb hit it straight and knock it on the green make a putt perfect yeah just do that that won't hurt you just do that I'll take that thank you you got the Tracer oh my not that far left I'm not feeling very good today oh it really opens up over there why is everyone so quiet geez Louise oh you want a whole crowd ramping you up or something you want to hit it far no I don't you got a pink tea nice tea how am I supposed to respond to that oh my gosh Harry I got them all bud oh it's gonna be a long week boy yeah very nice very nice that should be good okay I got a question for you Bubba yeah what you got boss what makes you decide on whether or not that a cut or a draw um but like in a certain hole with it with a driver so drivers built not to draw take away the driver it just depends on what I feel where the pin location is what's the wind doing like on that part three back there the pin was you had a lot of room to the right yeah so I aim it to the right edge of the green and cut it back to it so if it goes straight it can still have a chance to hit the green so it just depends on where the flag is and what kind of wind direction we have at that moment don't hit it here don't laugh what do we got to that bunker get in it or cover it get in it like fire the lip yeah 97 was the lip so that's growing that grass is growing back into us I don't know if the foreign gets out that far I mean this is definitely not flying on the green how fast how far is it to the flag I would I gotta if I had firewood I gotta go left and oh yeah I have to try and make birdie it's just such a bad lie dude get up almost like I said don't hit it here I think this can be uh you said 190. yeah yeah try to hit a little bit more straighter come on handed right at it come on why'd it take some off of it partner carry me home baby we know I do that 180 down to 176. a little end of the win fractionally I want to play like a 180 shot here it's just a just time to go we got we got plenty of holes this is also close to the pen as well yeah pinch up on them yeah me neither but keep it left 195 213 is playing what what is it 195 yards gonna be an eight iron just under a pool hopefully I get my shots better than I have the past couple iron shots [Music] nope wow I'm striking it really well right now that's not a bad angle it's way worse than that I wish I came across on that tractor did I wow I'll be good uh-oh yeah good shot no great shot oh my gosh go 500 Fairway s oh no no that's uh sit sit I think that's awesome it's gonna come down hard maybe hit like a foot harder but because it's going down for a little bit longer it's gonna like net neutral [Music] oh I killed it all right Bubba is a chance to make two more here it is bury it I'll be your biggest cheerleader oh if you hit it I don't know oh good line they'll go in on Sunday they should be a little fast man [Music] this is for four thousand right this is for the match yes so if you win this whole you win the match now I'm nervous it's an interesting finish this was a bar five last year saw a lot of drama out here we played the back D which doesn't exist anymore because now we have that Stadium hole there so this is now a long Par Four from an update you've got there's two sections of the Fairway down there you've got to find the Short Grass because it's a par five green and you're hitting into a shallow green find the Fairway give yourself a putt if you play this whole even part of this week you're gonna gain shots on the field there's a good finishing off shot a little bit it's close to your backs right that's probably some touch right and then it looks like that's fine all right what do we got Big Driver yeah you gotta go you see where that live golf thing is on the side we live golfing you know that oh yeah yeah where it's up this way from there to where the bleachers end that way you can't be left of that you can but you'll be in the rough oh okay but that's that's the bottom Fairways on that line basically gotcha so just left to this first tree yeah just left for that first three exactly oh slippage nice slip and he still hits it down the middle how about that oh beautiful gosh that was right yeah don't don't no no it's a gun yes 201 4 and it's right over that bunker in it it's a big moment in the match right now right here he's gonna hit this one good sorry what'd you say 90 what yeah see if we can do it right it puts the pressure on him right here Bryson come on see it this might be my new biggest moment in golf oh oh no mud ball I see all that much yeah yeah we got um 99 yards nice smooth six iron straight at it oh yeah yeah tugged it get down just long I needed to cut that a little bit yeah what do we got 161 uphill one yard once where's the pen looks like it's right over the middle of the bunker right there downwind 161 uphill one yard so 162. a little downwind I think I'm just gonna hit a full 45. I like that do you like that especially being off a downslope play down four or five yards downwind what's up [Music] ah pulled it 54 too much spin all right so Bubba's up there I pulled mine got a putt though to make it and you're birdie and get them get him in trouble set ah 45 feet pretty neutral I think it's going to play flat maybe a little down but I mean there's three three and a four feet out kind of where we were talking about between those two pitch marks and I'll play this pretty flat neutral all right let's see what we got 45 footer practices all day long oh wow that broke hard oh my gosh wow I gotta see this slightly going up and going to the uh barely falling this way to the left yeah I do and then um I mean we need to make it oh my goodness do it do it do it yeah yes finally yeah that was big thank you thank the Lord man all right Bubba let's see if we can do it oh man I got this pretty straight up the hill huh a little chip off now chip off chip off there we go final skin yeah all right we're going right back down here okay man the closest depend we got four shots and we'll go from there right here right there is this good over there buddy I like it let's do it oh gosh that's a little long it's on the green thanks Captain Obvious this is it guys up and down well not even up and down let's just knock it in we win yeah this is for four grand this is for the final this is for the icing and the cherry on the cake oh oh so this is not an easy shot by the way so close so close that wasn't good it's okay partner you made the putt though that's what counts I was going for a different kind of shot oh oh my gosh thanks cat that's a great shot wow oh who's closer me stay there stay there me I'm close I don't know who's closer I was closer one two three four five one shot you give it to me yeah thanks man thanks for doing that that was amazing this is awesome I appreciate it always I'm hungry always dude hold on man sorry hold on thanks brother thank you thanks let's go partner we're all into it right now let's just remember the last time we lost a match what happened that's true I'll sign it later so what was the total 12 and 11 relations he was 12 and 11 000. Bubba you got us in the last one what's it like winning uh you know what just for you and and all these people that showed up today I'll just throw in an extra thousand we tie 12 12. you're the best yes exactly that was a lot of fun though man it's good to see the golf course good to have a lot of people supporting out here the children yeah from some underprivileged areas it's uh very exciting to have them out here and you know just give people a different side of this nobody really sees what we do behind the scenes it's good to see um and I think there's a lot more matches that we could possibly have in the future yeah exactly this is fun especially when you win when you have a chip off like that and you win I was so nervous on that yeah it was a little wet there it's under the Grain and it's a brand new wedge so I was like oh yeah that's a bonded he flubbed it a bit Yeah his debit was massive anyway thanks for having us appreciate it brother see you
