I Built The Ultimate CARGO CATAMARAN For The High Seas!

welcome ladies and gentlemen back to trail makers high seas expansion and we are back on the high seas but today we're gonna be building a brand new boat for sea travel and we are going to travel i think to the burning gate according to what this is called right here that's probably just the section of this entire area there seems to be a volcano area over here that's been revealed in the last episode but i want to build a type of larger more stable catamaran style boat that'll be more capable of traversing the sea now unfortunately it seems like the wind is going to be fighting me getting to whatever this island is over here so i'm definitely gonna have to have engine power however i do want this thing to be decked out in sales too just just for when we do have the wind down at our side or at our back i guess in that case on our side by being at our back the back side i just realized the term backside is a compound word of two words that are actually have competing definitions the side and the back are two different locations but the back side is just the back is there a side back maybe i should just start building how about that what is going on with the water here is that normal what is that oh okay makes the water around me look dirty like what did i do here why why is there a circle of discolored water around me you okay little character all right so big boat catamaran style let's see what we can come up with [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right ladies and gentlemen i spent a while building this thing and uh check it out so i actually found that there's a new uh cockpit seat which is it's actually a mass crow nest but uh i put it down here it's not actually up on a mast as a crow nest so i made some custom sails that actually i think looked pretty cool i made a really elegant paint color with the white and gold and um the way this works is we have a lot of sales but the sales are mostly they're not super super useful like as you can see it makes me go like 38 40 kilometers an hour if i'm going directly with the wind um i have independent control over these sails in the middle and these sails that are the big vertical sails and that's because these sails i can actually turn and catch the wind at different angles but these sails in the middle they're actually what is connecting both sides of the cataract so i can't actually turn those sails they're only going to be facing where i'm facing so there might be a case in which i want want to have independent control over which ones of those are open um and then for main functionality underneath here i have four sets of three underwater propellers on either side and uh the front and back ones are responsible for steering which i feel like i should make that a little bit slower that's a little extreme right now all right so now there we go i can turn really really sharp with this thing um but as far as what if i'm turning with just wind power i don't have a lot of wind power right now but i i do get a little bit of turning i gotta keep it into the wind though yeah so wind power isn't the best kind of power in this game right now if you have the option to just use power cores but it i do realize that it has wind power has the advantage of you don't actually need power cores to uh use a boat anymore before you would have to use either thrust or um underwater propellers but now you can use wind power without using any power cores and we are getting dangerously close to the vortex so let's not do that anymore and let's head over this oh we're kind of already on that side of the vortex anyway let's head over to presumably the volcano and see what this place is all about wait let me save this let me save this before anything terrible happens and i forget to save this all right so this is what it looks like with all of the sales retracted and all we got to do is just keep heading east and hope for the best here and as far as stability goes we're feeling okay so far however with the wind at our front i think it's because the wind is in our face it's actually causing us to tilt back a little bit i'm pretty sure so i might want to actually put some more weight on the bottom of this thing man look at these waves these waves are massive okay i don't like this tilting back it's also making my propellers get out of the water which is slowing me down too okay yeah look at that that's not good that must be the wind so we're gonna use some 50 kilogram weight blocks to weigh some of this down up here all right let's hope that's not too much weight oh boy with the sails open it's a little bit different with the sails open hold on there we go all right i hope we're not going to be too heavy now we just i just added a ton of weight to this thing and like we're not that fast but you can see that we're at least we're not leaning back nearly as much now all of the engines all of the propellers are in the water and wow look at this place oh there's the red i see the red uh the red teleport point and it looks like there's buildings over there too i like it when i'm going in the direction of the waves we end up getting a bit of a surfing effect where they help us speed along oh those are not buildings those are like silos or something we have a harbor here there's like a shipping harbor all right well there's plenty of room for my boat in here i was curious how big my boat was on the scale of you know the map and it looks like this is the uh this is the teleport point right here zero out of 35 artifacts discovered so i might want to take my drone around and scout out the island this place has explosive barrels as well first time seeing explosive barrels in this new map and containers first time seeing a lot of this stuff in the new map and look at the jump i gotta try to jump that i'm gonna do that right now there's no way this is gonna work hmm i died oh okay i'm still here i have the teleport point so we're good all right so i'm bringing out the drone again and i'm gonna make some modifications to this thing one of the big issues was that the magnets felt too close together so i am moving the magnets much farther apart all right and we are back and it looks like there's some weird roads going on here but i don't see a way up onto these roads initially but this is interesting there is a um oh boy i'm already having trouble controlling this thing hold on the wind is catching me off guard here well yeah there's there's like this catwalk up here that looks like it's meant to be driven on but i don't see an easy way oh wait was there a way right up past the uh the teleport point there all right let's see let's just get this real quick okay this is not working all right take two there we go this is my first time seeing a vase that is not under water this was a vase that was actually on the land all right i need to look more oh i see there's the pathway up over there okay so i think there's actually is a planned land path on this and it probably expects you to use oh why look at that jump what is with these roads oh there's a book down there i gotta go get that book oh there's a book up there too let's go two books okay here we go book number one ow that took my leg off i feel like these legs aren't that important for me right now uh book number two is way down here all right let's see if i'm capable of grabbing two books that first book is taking up a lot of space oh i got it i actually got it that worked out great okay back to the teleport point there's two more you know let's go up to the top let's just let's go up to the top of the volcano see what the top of the volcano is all about oh this is interesting this isn't nearly as deep as the main campaign volcano all right let's drop in and grab that one real quick and i definitely got room for one more so let's scout around the back side of the volcano oh there's there we go there's one right there whoa look at those waves those are some pretty massive waves it looks like oh oh snagged that really easy all right let's look at our map real quick alright we got some salvage down by the water we got a green one over there man we got to get that green one and bring it all the way back over there all right looks like this area of the volcano i still have to fly over but let's return these two real quick how high in this beam do you think i can drop these off and it still gets detected let's see right up here there's still a little bit of beam here ah nope doesn't count up there all right this looks pretty dense here what about this section there we go yeah there's still some decent height all right on my way back i actually noticed man look at that cliff right there i noticed there is a tome right underneath here let's try to get down here there we go this should be easy enough all right i got it somehow on the outside of my legs all right i think we're we're stable enough to keep flying now let's get over to this section that is unmarked on the map oh there's a salvage down there probably under water yep negative 81 meters but surely there must be some other stuff over on this section here trying to zoom out to get an overall view of this place do the artifacts reset in lava i don't know the answer to that i don't know if i want to find out right now not yet maybe when i have just one that i'm that i'm focusing on there we go we got that one all right let's get back try to maintain control stay away from the cliff all right two more down and we're getting all kinds of gold i should go into build mode and see what kind of i don't there's still there's still aesthetic parts that i haven't unlocked yet and we've been getting so much gold in this uh campaign that i should probably unlock some more these are on top of the water here so i'm wondering if we can take the catamaran through these areas attach some magnets to the cataract because honestly i don't have any magnets on it yet and i have a ton of room for magnets on this thing i could probably carry like 12 uh different artifacts but the inconvenient thing is most of the artifacts aren't floating on the surface of the ocean anymore all right there we go now right at surface level i actually have 10 magnets total so we should be able to have some pretty good uh retrieval capabilities given that we actually have the materials to retrieve in the first place oh okay hold on repair oh speaking of materials let's let's buy some things i have a bunch of money to just go ahead and buy all this stuff i had 40 000 gold [Music] there we go oh and look there's some new stuff you can get you can unlock by collecting artifacts in high seas sub-zero trophy volcano trophy so if we collect all the red things i'm assuming that we get that viking trophy probably the green area tiki trophy is probably the blue area and this has to be the area that i haven't found yet which i guess is going to be like an antarctica style area all right off we go let's see how we handle the waves now oh yeah look at this this is so much more stable oh we got the wind on our side this time though oh boy all right for the sake of stability i feel like i'm actually a lot more stable when i have my sales down so let's keep the sales down for now oh man these waves are brutal you know i'm curiou can i set the sales to be default closed by going to the settings here guess not i think that that should be a setting with the sales kind of like the pistons you can set the starting position of pistons you should be able to set the starting position of sales because when you start with your sails open and you're facing the wrong direction for the wind that can be a little bit jarring all right so somewhere over here there it is all right let's activate our magnets i mean tractor beams still getting used to that and there we go we got one the wood pieces interfere with the tractor beams i didn't have to worry about that until just now that's why the wood pieces are with these things because now i'm trying to use my tractor beams and i keep picking up wood pieces that i don't want like that right there leave me alone oh no the wood the wood is actually making this hard no come back the wave took it the wave actually look at that that's actually pretty cool okay i got it now i'm just gonna go in the direction that the wood is not we're gonna go back around this way i do seem to be a lot more stable with the waves these waves are oh except when that happens the wind is definitely pushing me back i do have weight in the front though i have like thousands of kilograms maybe like maybe like 8 000 kilograms weighing down the front um underneath there in an effort to counteract that effect oh look at those waves i kind of wanna i kinda wanna go that way just real quick just to feel what it feels like look at this there's waves on the waves oh this feels epic this feels so epic oh no well that was interesting wasn't it this is craziness all right what happens if i turn with the direction of the wave oh it just it literally falls out from underneath you all right i'm actually gonna i'm gonna circumvent the entire island with this thing because i know that there are probably some uh some artifacts that are not showing up on the map that might be floating around here and there's a green one over here that negative 20 meters that must be under water then i'm gonna have to get that with my sub i should see what the underwater looks like here though too okay yeah it appears that it is underwater down here so i'm gonna do an experiment here i'm gonna get out of this vehicle and then separately i'm gonna spawn in my sub there we go so hopefully that thing stays steady there now let's go down whoa there's underwater lava pits that's kind of crazy all right but where is oh there it is all right how do i activate the okay there we go i have to go upside down all right this is going to be actually kind of difficult with this sub all right no no i got it i just my controls are going to be reversed but i actually gotta fly or swim upside down as i go underneath this there we go is that epic or what all right and then ready oh it's gonna be so cool oh no it's getting hit up against the side here and then i let go here and i drop it off right there and then i should be able to get in the seat of this thing and start oh no i press the space button uh all right just pick everything back up there we go that was kind of fun wasn't it all right let's keep on going i'll just leave my sub underwater there all right the waves are getting a little more extreme over on this side man this is crazy oh look there's another one this one wasn't even marked on the map all right we're gonna pick up all kinds of them i'm gonna try to make it equal on both sides what is that up there all right how does the water how's the water doing this why is it staying up like this how what's on the map here oh this is weird this is a really weird area this doesn't physics right this is not how physics works at all oh no i got that thing oh i got the piece of wood i don't want the piece of wood all right if we can turn sideways pick that up all right trying to turn back but the wood's preventing me and get on out of here yeah i just need to get out of here onto some more flat ocean this this that area makes no sense that is not how waters should work all right now that i'm here can i drop yes sorry i picked up everything except for the wood log all right i didn't see any more floating on the surface and i'm circling back around to the front area again so i think this is all we got all right so we're gonna get four red ones and one go here apparently i can't do this there we go oh well that was a little bit weird oh and i died again all right let's pick up the green one again and now i'm actually going to uh i'm gonna take the green one all the way back and on the way try to grab i don't know if i can even grab this i don't know what i'm gonna do with that i don't i am very very concerned about this actually if i drop this into the vortex what happens and oh you know what never mind never mind i see it over on the dock there i can't drive this thing up on that dock let's just um let's just go let's just go over there ah yes nice and calm waters now so much easier all right so we did our first i think this is the first time um bringing an artifact from one area to another area versus just getting the artifacts that are contained within its designated area like the green ones around the green ring yeah we brought a uh a green one from the red area back over here so that feels like a pretty big accomplishment and i also just noticed that i'm pretty sure all these orbs that you see in here represent each artifact i've gotten and as you get more artifacts more orbs appear because over in the red one there was just a small handful of orbs but here there's a whole bunch i'm assuming 23 exactly because i have 23 of 35 artifacts discovered i think we've made some good progress we have a brand new boat and i love the looks of this thing let me know what you guys think of this it seems to be much more stable serving our purposes so i'm assuming that the area that i haven't discovered with the snow is probably up here so maybe we'll venture there next and i just noticed that there's a there's an abyss here this that probably goes really deep for the submarines and there's a spawn point there too so i'm
