I Built My Dream Gym!

this is my brand new gym which used to look like this I know boring I'm gonna take you guys through the story of how I turn my basement into the world's greatest home gym from start to finish holy first step of building a gym find the right equipment and the first person that came to mind was Mr Tony Little endless for those of you who don't know Tony's the owner of fusion Fitness and Relentless equipment which has built some of the most state-of-the-art training facilities in America just wait till you guys see this gym it is out of this world we are here at Fusion gyms I'm going to be checking out the equipment potentially I'm reworking with them on getting their equipment in my home gym that we're building let's check it out first I don't know yet not yet my guy what up baby bro follow me dude I'm so glad to be here bro I'm so excited let's just why don't you just show me around this is um it's built for lifters like most big box gyms they're typically built for your average consumers all of the equipment just looks awesome this is our competition grade incline and flat Olympic bench so we have six sets of dumbbells you're never going to wait forever for anything so it goes from five pounds all the way up to 150 pounds I mean is that only a kid in a candy shop right now all right so now comes the fun part we got to go through the equipment see what you want oh yeah no that's a good angle definitely this you want something more versatile something you're gonna use a lot yeah definitely a pit shark do you have other multiple pitch sharks so you can adjust the handles you can adjust the peg so you can also do band work uh I say this one let's add to the list all right now we're moving on to what I'm gonna get for back I like this one a lot yeah I'm definitely let's add this one for sure yeah let's go with just one okay yeah is this an option of course instead of dumbbell Square bro five to a hundred yeah I think that'd be more than enough we do a treadmill and a StairMaster Smith slash squat rack leg extension lying leg curl I'll take a football field please okay straight left okay I think think that's it after picking out all of the equipment that I wanted I had to put it all to the test for a full workout the possibility of having my own mini fusion gym was very exciting however even though that gym was outstanding the equipment is beautiful we had to compare it to some other companies because my dad always taught me to never take the first offer no matter what the second gym equipment company this one is called Matrix so I'm meeting up with a man named Rick we got to make sure we like the equipment before we were gonna go and purchase the equipment because this won't be a lot of money so use code Jesse on young LA to support me this is the Magnum series you said of the Smith machine my girlfriend requested a Smith machine all right but I'll probably still use it I mean it's a standard heavy duty it's nice so this is the functional trainer you just want to know what you're recommending it's out of our Top Line okay I like how heavy duty everything some cables are just like janky or they're cheap but these feel like high quality like this is a top level series we want the top level man you know you know what I'm here for yeah right buy right or buy twice or something that's what my dad always tells me although Matrix didn't have the same spectacle as Fusion I was blown away by the quality of their equipment considering this is for Claudia and I's home we'd be using this for many years to come or maybe decades so with that in mind I was very impressed okay so now we're gonna be looking at the cardio equipment yeah I mean this is good it has Netflix Spotify it's nice I like that it's Slimmer too it's not so a waste of space my initial thoughts right away are that the equipment is very high quality it's very sturdy it's heavy which means it's not going to move very easily which is very good overall I'm liking this stuff we're a little bit farther in the process now we know what we're probably going to get we're looking at the half rack the dumbbells the barbells the machines what's nice about these weights is that they're going to be calibrated they're going to be accurate they're going to be long lasting they have a rubber coating so it won't chip the floor definitely I'm gonna go with the round ones because I don't really there's something about these that just feels like I just I'm not I'm not a fan of the look I think it'd be sleeker and a little bit more aesthetic if we get the round ones I want to build this as quickly as possible but I also want to be smart and not build it fast just for no reason and make sure I'm getting the proper equipment but only time will tell I'm excited I spent the remainder of the afternoon testing out a variety of different machines you know a little thick girl thick girl thick girl boot camp you know what I'm saying Rick really wanted to test my cardio for some reason and I left it a big both companies definitely had my interest and I was excited to turn my basement into my dream gym okay yep yeah no worries all right bye I just got off the phone with fusion and unfortunately it is going to take over six months to get this gym equipment and then start the gym build now as that might be the standard Matrix told me that they can do the entire gym start to finish in two to three months so to me the decision is very clear although Fusion's equipment is absolutely fantastic I'm gonna be going with Matrix now the real work began first thing we had to do was repaint our entire basement alrighty everybody is hard at work right now doing some painting in the gym right now the future gym I should say Jessie's ready for his new gym it's coming that's gone let's go the final reveal of the basement being painted it is ready holy crap so bright great job guys what do you think and he wanted to paint it black before and I was like no way look at the difference of the wall I know like I'm so glad we changed the color of the wall next task rip up the basement flooring because we got some nice luxury rubber flooring coming in next week [Music] you guys is manhandling this rug I love it keep going you're doing great [Music] all done no issues all right so the floor is all removed it's up the boys did an outstanding job and we're gonna build this gym the flooring was quick and easy like one of the easiest jobs we could have done I got it don't worry well not really we but I'll leave it up to the professionals so the first thing they're going to do is put a very very thick glue on the ground and then they're going to roll this on and press it down and the glue actually acts like a little thin layer of rubber almost so it adds more protection to the floor after the floor is up the basement looked so empty everything looks gorgeous the floor color is so bright that it just feels so much bigger in here than it really is next up is going to be delivering the equipment holy crap welcome to dubs gym today is the install of the gym equipment okay we are getting an entire commercial gym basically in my basement everything you're seeing here everything from literally from that corner all the way to that giant wall will be filled with a beautiful elegant luxurious gym equipment let the gym build begin [Music] [Applause] I made sure to keep everybody on time and on schedule you're doing great guys yep that's good right there all right all right maybe I don't know what I'm doing here but let's move on [Applause] the Smith machine this is nice wow do you like it are you excited you build a big booty on that you already got a big booty you can build a bigger booty sure little by little the gym was coming together and it took about seven total hours of building and moving the equipment to build this entire beautiful gym enjoy it thank you I'll tell you what it was it was enjoyable to see somebody get a reaction who actually cares I appreciated the whole process too dude thank you man seeing this gym built for the first time I felt like a kid on Christmas morning all I want to do right now is rip off my clothes and start working out but before we train let me give you a little tour starting off right here we have a multi-purpose functional trainer you could do chest flies tricep push Downs blue Kickbacks if you're feeling thick moving right next to it we have another essential the handy dandy deadlift platform along with a beautiful squat rack now if you're telling me that this is not the greatest combo right next to each other I don't know what is ever since peanut butter and jelly what should be next to each other [Music] we have the safeties we got to pull up our and we have a plethora of all different plates we'll take a break from the weightlifting side of things we have every piece of cardio equipment you possibly need we have the StairMaster we have a beautiful high-tech treadmill okay and then over here we have an assault mic so I've been using this quite a lot feels good you get kind of a fan at the exact same time so you kind of look like Fabio riding a horse and you're getting a workout in we have a seated row along with a lat pull down I probably could do triceps on this I could probably do curls on here you really could get creative and you even can do some lunges just right on the edge right here if you really want to get some superset action in we have a prone leg curl I hate a seated leg curl I love the prone one anything I can lay down and really give to the machine and that's what I'm signing up for it has a rep counter and a timer built in right here we have Easy Bar curls along with straight bar curls this is going to be an essential I put it right in the middle so you can do lunges you can do rdls you could do curls you can literally do any anything with his entire set now for my favorite machine of the entire gym we have the hack squat this thing is already so heavy with no weight that I only use like one or two plates so I gotta work my way up to like four we'll get there eventually I love the Smith machine I love doing incline bench press I love doing squats on it there's just something about having that stability and also the angle that it's on We Know It's All About Angles okay moving over we have the whole entire dumbbell rack it's three layers along with one on the side I had to kind of get the shorter version because sometimes shorter is okay over here the best part about this side is that they go up by two and a half pound increments so my girlfriend can kind of you know she can go light she can go heavy because me going up by five pounds is a little easier than her going up by five pounds shoulder press overhead press all different things we can do right here curl it's just one of the greatest things to have is a nice chair okay the chair bench press whatever that's freaking cold that's what we're going with this is a very nice bench press it's actually lowered to the ground I requested that because I'm a short King and I'm five nine and a half and I'll never forget the day that I found that out it's lowered to the ground so we can get better leg drive and also my girlfriend has shorter legs than me so we gotta keep her in mind this is something that you can do for hamstrings lower back you could do rows while sitting here you could turn around and do some core on it it's one of the essentials that I think you will need to just build an overall physique and people forget about their lower back so it's important to do I love this one because it gets a full stretch in the quads and it's so smooth and even in the tension points are just like there's always tension on the muscle it's not one of those machines that you can just kind of get on and it's easier in some spots than the other I love this leg extension with a burning passion I would make love to this leg extension I mean just ladies and gentlemen that's the home gym okay this is it's more than a home gym it's crazy to look back and think that I was training my parents home gym and now I own a home with a literal commercial grade gym inside the basement I could not be here without your support I could not be doing any of this I could not have these luxuries without you
