I bought a boat🥳

are there happy garageers you notice I got a different angle on the phone and also I bought a boat well actually bought a boat maybe back in March March or maybe February but I got one and uh I have prepped a little bit I have I've cleaned it somewhat just to to see what it is I had gotten myself into and uh it came with everything I've got a got a nice Honda gas engine and the trolling motor and he even included a couple batteries for the trolling motor so it's it's really nice and I bought it because you know I want to do some fishing and some of my local spots from a boat versus you know just from the the bank and also a couple of the spots don't allow gas engines so I think this is going to be a good fit so let's unwrap it so you can see what I got I know what I got this is just some some cheap plastic I tried to cover it up with him let it rained so I had to empty into a couple of low spots [Applause] [Applause] all right [Applause] to get this plastic out of the way don't mind the daily driver there it is a Starcraft aluminum 14 foot I don't know looks like at one time it was named a river rat another thing for the price I didn't do too badly I got the trailer trailer was included those two nice fishing perches were included and it does need some work but just because it's an older aluminum boat it's it's not the end of the world I have to replace that uh that motor support on the transom there two by six ought to do it and the foam the foam under the seat so I noticed pieces of foam around it's probably coming apart is it detrimental it's I don't know first boat I bought so I'm probably gonna find a replacement for the phone the trailer lights worked when I when I you know towed it home for the most part anyway I think one of the uh one of the brake lights didn't work for this overhang so let's go over the project list I do I want to make the make sure the trailer is is road legal for my state and I want to get rid of this overhang off the back so that uh you can see both my trailer lights at the same time from from another Lane which means I'd gonna have to pull the boat forward but it would pull it forward to like where this brick is not again not a not a huge issue it doesn't mean I will have to just extend my tongue a little bit so that's that's going to be on the project list uh this the strap is is a little bit rotted but the uh even though there's some rust on this mechanism seems to be in good shape it uh it works I don't know why I'm loaded backwards but yeah you can see it it unlatches and re-latches so I mean the mechanism works so yeah I'll probably just uh clean it up Lube it a little bit replace the strap Place some of this this old rope um I guessed the wrong size on on the board I needed so so yeah I'll take that back to Home Depot and these are actually I thought these were plastic oars they're so coated but they they are wooden you can see the other ore over there the handle is broken it's a wooden oar I will uh I guess I will replace those probably I don't know eBay kind of used doors even got this little light which I'm told it works but again we'll we'll see Let Me overall a clean boat is uh well cared for these these I don't know if we're replaced but they're in good shape so I'm excited a little bit I could get the the tires I'm gonna get just the tires only I know you could buy like Tire and Wheel assemblies which I think they're 55 or 60 dollars each tire and wheel assembly or it's like under 25 bucks for just a tire you could probably mount it yourself at home but I'll take it to work and mount it and do the bearings yeah I got a got some nice red paint so I'm gonna paint the trailer red install some actual bunks for it to to rest on it doesn't have the bunks it's got a roller back there and a couple down the middle but up I don't know again first time uh boat owner so I I do believe it's the the boat the trailer is supposed to have bunks that's my understanding so if I'm wrong comment but otherwise huh tell me what you think tell me uh tell me any kind of Easy Mods to do to to make this just a nice little uh we'll run around fishing boat that you could tow with a minivan thanks for watching and happy garaging everyone
