I Asked People To Autotune My AWFUL Singing

I don't wanna do this anymore hello and welcome back to 20/20 my name is joel from roomie official I'm here with my editor Jonas it is true and at the end of last year I asked you guys to fix my horrible singing it sounded like this before and we gonna be listening to the results today also because I know many of you guys don't really understand when I'm sarcastic or not I have a new invention I call it the sarcasm camera this is how it works Mac is better than PC Justin Bieber's new song yummy is very good I've actually been enjoying Jake Paul's recent content also before we start I got to say that was a lot of really great submissions this time so therefore we couldn't show all of the great submissions don't forget if you like one of these artists go subscribe to them that's the most important thing about this make sure to support small musician youtubers because it is much harder to get noticed nowadays subscribe if you like something but yeah actually let's not start the video here we have tomahawk music friend of the show right we have had him before right I'm gonna be real with you here I don't know I don't remember you don't watch these videos so the first thing I did was I took Ruby's voice and I ran it through a vocoder that's one way to get around an awful vocal performance I added 80s chords [Music] this is the bass nice and a synthesizer solo as well this is a big debate among me and my friends the whole thing with is it a drop or is it a synth solo I remember one time at songwriting school one guy got really angry when a guy from the record label came and he said that oh I don't really like the synth solo and he was just sitting there like he didn't say anything he was like okay now kind of lie I really freakin hated that no that was awesome it's like it's one of those things I really like that genre a lot and you do too I know it's really like really biased but like that rolling base and everything sounded amazing vocoders I don't really get any mixes good right great stuff tomahawk music next [Music] Oh makes me wanna see I enjoyed that a lot there were some solid songwriting skills in here definitely it was very interesting and like the tone with the chords and the downwards melody and everything it was good but that's a guy who made the harmonies he sucked that it's true oh yeah this guy's been here before this time is kind of low effort especially the video because I didn't have much time to do it I don't think it's too bad when people use more chords and I'm more like kinda like melodically inclined and stuff it reminds me of the guy who did the Queen song a little bit so good like they can't like the same type of musicians let's move on to the next one okay so next up we actually have one of our editors Dylan Locke also made a submission I hope it didn't invoice for this anyway let's have a look see what they only came up with he's obviously an amazing editors I have high hopes for the edits works whoa that's what we pay him the big bucks that was amazing honestly that vocal editing he really made it sound good at least in some parts in some parts like in the very beginning I was like yeah he oughta tune it but is it really working but they're like the rest came in I was like oh my god this actually works I don't know really funny really great edit great mix cute [Music] my I'm tired trying to go [Music] that was beautiful really nice yeah I think that's a really good example of you don't have to have fancy recording equipment yeah she's embracing it it's kind of in the low five yeah works it's good is very YouTube compatible this type of thing makes me think of people like Dodie and Elyse Eckland beautiful stuff I liked it it's the bedroom clap roomy bad I didn't paying attention so he did all all of the challenges in one video she did the toothbrush challenge he did the melody I had in the beginning he did the me theme remix thing and he the bad thing the bad song all right you will ya look like an idiot I know next great job or any borns you are the next beyoncé next [Music] I don't wanna go I've been feeling lonely lately it feels exactly like I'll excuse this thing with a something background and the guitar with the lighting but I scoot doesn't really upload anymore you can be the new Alex goot yeah your permission yeah you need our permission to be the new excuse [Music] [Music] for [Music] that was cool I feel like there's a few different approaches you can take to trying to use my vocal in the song I feel what everyone's kind of been doing so far like we had two different schools basically we had chopping it up vocal sample style and we've had just kind of like singing on top of it and sort of Hylian put it a little bit in the background couple of people have been doing I feel like in order for it to really work you'd have to like really work on the vocal and tune it and try to EQ it in a way we're like pitch it in some way where it sounds really good effect no-one's really nailed that yet taking this awful awful thing and making it sound really good but I'll tell you what it did nail though but hey Sunday moving away from the mic when he breathes does he do that yeah I didn't notice so part in the beginning of the video I noticed he's like uh Burbank bent great job [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Wow this is crazy when he started saying he surprised me so much I was like you brought the talent show drama yeah angel card revealed it was a trap card he's a trap card definitely one of the best like songwriting wise and singing why submissions amazing calories I love that next [Music] [Music] that was awesome great dropped amazing drop mentioned so I don't know if um yet so I don't never getting used to it or if the vote goes actually sounded good in this one but I didn't mind that as much just in the other ones if you heard it in a song would you you'd probably still be like oh what is this I don't think I would question it to be honest it sounds it sounds good right sounds like someone's just like oh they like pitching the vocals that's cool you know yeah yeah garrison 17 subscribers that's a crime go get this guy's some subscribers police okay next [Music] you get goosebumps you were looking like this in your arms for two seconds like up goosebumps and then we're gonna mean if someone was trying to actually try the best use this really bad vocal recording to make something legitimately good yeah as far as that goes I think this is this is the best this is the best yeah this would have been the most likely to be a radio song hundred percent it kind of works he pitched it down a little bit right it was just I think that a little bit of pitch helped take away the worst of it it's also eq'd really well and sits really well in the mix amazing job better than I could have done with this horrible vocal for sure yeah [Music] I'm sorry stage I won't be working minimum wage I enjoyed how is how his rap was in the left speaker the whole time that was my favorite thing oh my god it's very funny that felt Mary Charlie puth back in the days yeah huh never said this kid will grow up to become super successful yeah yeah good for you for becoming that successful in the future next good job Allah Allah [Music] [Applause] [Music] I really like the killing but thing he was using that's under it amazing yeah I was gonna say the instrumental part in the beginning was so beautiful the soundscape was like really well mixed in and then yeah interesting and then the vocals came in I was like yeah he also did a good job with vocals I would say it was one of the best as well great job vite Kirti okay so for next week's challenge I would like to hear you guys rap without the letter e that means no words for the letter E in it and no like cheating changing the e to an i or whatever nothing like that I want it to be without the letter e we're taking a page out of and Ruth Wong's book here not gonna lie he's made a video like this and I really like that one so yeah I would hear you guys it's reps without the letter e and we will feature a lot of them in the next video thanks
