I Asked AI to Make a Chess Opening for Me... (It was bad)

this is a chess opening created by Ai and in this video I'm going to be playing these artificially invented openings against real people online to see if they'll help me win more games or make me lose the game immediately and let me just say these openings get really weird I mean this is just concerning right here like how do you even come up with an opening like this the first AI that I was going to be using was chat GPT and as the video goes on I'll be using a bunch of different chat Bots to see which one is the best at chess so you're going to want to watch the entire video all right so Chad gbt says we're going to be playing the hummingbird opening starting with D4 which is to control the center and prepare for further development I didn't really know what to expect from chat gbt but this hummingbird opening was very similar to the Queen's Gambit until I had to play this move H3 it says this move may seem unorthodox but It prepares for fenet on the king side with flexibility in development and potentially disrupting Black's plans now Fen ketto is what my opponent did you basically just put your Bishop on any of these squares to control the diagonal squares the entire game I actually have no idea how this move helps me fanet out anything like the next move says I'm supposed to play G3 which would be good move right now but I don't think this H3 plan is like a 200 IQ moment even though I was suspicious about chat gpt's abilities I was already committed to the hummingbird opening okay now it says explore options such as Rook E1 aiming for an E4 break uh there's nothing really on e4 but I will obey chachi's wishes nevertheless this was the end of the hummingbird opening so now it was on my own I did notice that this Pawn was completely undefended because the bishop that's supposed to be defending it is fien ketto but besides that my position was actually fine if a few Ms later my opponent sacrifices a bishop for absolutely no reason and now I'm just winning but not as winning as the people who are subscribed to this channel we're trying to reach 30,000 subscribers by the end of this month so if you want to say that you were here before we reached 30k now's your chance a few mes later in the game I got a Checkmate but this was only a 300 rated opponent would this opening actually work against someone better this opponent was 1100 so things might be a little bit harder I did the exact same moves as before staying true to the hummingbird opening I still have no idea why it's called that like what does this opening in a hummingbird even have to do with each other this opponent was much more aggressive than last one so I had to take some extra steps before completing the opening since I F on my Bishop my pawns over here were kind of undefended uh-oh I think I might be down a pawn now but I kept playing and my opponent eventually blundered wait look if he takes with his Bishop I can get this volumptuous move right here yes okay I I just WN the game now okay like the opening didn't go too well in this match but I still won both games that I played using this opening so I'll give it eight hummingbirds out of 10 fian ketos the next AI that I was going to be using was the new Google Gemini and right away I was already concerned about this opening A3 an unusual pawn move developing a flank piece and preparing for B4 yeah I should have known something go wrong when I saw the name of the opening the hyperactive hippo my opponent played D5 and Gemini actually plans for this it says if your opponent plays D5 white can play e captures D5 however that is unfortunately an illegal move so I just skipped the next step which was D4 after this Gemini doesn't really tell you what to do but it says to prepare a kingside attack with pawn moves F4 and G4 okay so now I'm supposed to play F4 and G4 um but like what was all the A3 nonsense then like what are we doing here guys what what is this I tried to stay true to the vision of this opening and attack the kingside with my pawns okay he castled kingside this could be promising here folks this was indeed not promising at all whoops I lost a piece whoops I lost another piece I want to break free my attack just completely fell apart and I resigned but this wasn't really the openings fault so I decided to give it another another try after I played A3 my opponent moved out as Knight and if black does this Gemini says white can play B4 challenging the Central Pawn B4 wow look at me I'm challenging so many Central pwns here this is so cool man I love this opening yay I continued following the hyperactive hippo opening and my position was fine it wasn't necessarily good but it wasn't completely losing either I mean I don't really know like if my position is even good here or not but I feel like this is not like an organic uh like not an organically grown position I had some doubts about this situation but if you moments later oh yay we get a free Pawn that Free Pawn would end up winning me the game because after we traded off all of our pieces I was a pawn up in the end game which led to this position okay yeah I think we just take this Pond and stop the other one and we get easy Victory Royale amazingness I think this opening is just a solid five uh not five out of 10 or anything just a solid five you know what I mean the next chest opening I was going to be playing was from Snapchat's AI bot and before we even get into any of these games let me just say please do not try to take any chest advice from the Snapchat AI okay so this bot just gives you the opening to do like no matter what your opponent does you just have to play these moves starting with probably um the worst opening move G4 okay my opponent's already attacking my Pawn but the AI says to bring out our Knight to F3 so I must obey I have no choice uhoh it's telling me to move my other Knight to G2 forming a knight Duo and uh do you see where G2 is how is this Knight supposed to get all the way over there and what even is a night Duo all right we're just going to move to the next closest Square which is this for some reason this AI just seemed to be saying random chest pieces and coordinates with no Rhyme or Reason because the next move was to develop your Bishops to G2 and F3 aiming to control the center diagonally I think it was just trying to like rhyme Wars at this point but I could actually move my Bishop to G2 F3 on the other hand yeah I don't know how the Snapchat B expected my Bishop to get over there in one move okay now I I'm supposed to Castle to secure my King's safety yay my king is so safe now this opening was an abomination of mankind but I thought I could still try and win the game at least my opponent sacrificed an entire night for some reason so now I was winning I was pretty confident I can convert this into an easy Victory but then I miscalculated the end game and my opponent got a queen then he started fortnite emoting on me and I wanted to end my career as a human I honestly should have won that game so I wanted to give the Snapchat AI one more chance I told us to make a new opening and started another game okay this one I start with F4 I guess it's not as bad as G4 maybe then bring out your knight to F3 okay you know what this might actually be a validated opening here I thought I might be getting a good opening until I read develop your Queen's Bishop to C4 or aiming at the vulnerable F7 Square okay first of all it's a light Square so my Queen's Bishop physically cannot get to there and second my King's Bishop which can go there is stuck behind a pawn so like what is what is going on here I'm just going to do this so I can go to C4 next move I managed to get my King's Bishop to C4 but the next opening move really made me question if this was real life all right next move your queen to H5 putting pressure on the enemy King's position okay so F5 is not legal and it will take me 1 2 three moves to get there this is slightly concerning I just move my queen in front of my king because I just didn't know what to do at this point but we weren't done yet finally Castle Queen side wow I literally moved zero of these pieces over here what is this how is this a chest opening even though this was a complete disaster I still decided I would try to Castle queenside to honor this beautiful opening okay we finally Castle Queen side what a great moment in human society oh that's a free night my opponent really wasn't putting up much of a fight here and I won the game pretty easily now for these next two AI Bots I actually play the games on a real chess board but against online players with the chest not Evo a board and the first bot I was going to be playing was the Microsoft being chatbot which gave me the Azure Gambit with the opening move being A4 and that's literally the entire opening the only thing it says is this move aims to control the B5 square and potentially prepare for a queenside pawn storm I developed some pieces on the Queen's side trying to get this Pawn storm going but things weren't looking too good for me I had to sacrifice a piece here to save my king and my king was basically stuck there the entire game I still don't know why this opening is even called a Gambit you literally don't even Gambit a single Pawn I guess you just Gambit away your position on the board but this AI is giving somewhat false information I ended up getting violated into Oblivion so I just resigned the game I give this AI opening a solid one out of 100 it gave me literally one opening move and then expected me to become Carl Magnuson and just win the game and while this AI would be pretty terrible the next one would be completely different meta AI meta had me start off with the queen spot opening then move up my knight this was already very similar to the chbt opening but I was just glad we weren't having to play illegal moves everything was going well until I had to play the last move this opening Queen C2 the Aurora move oh yeah this opening is called the Aurora opening for some reason after I played that move I did end up losing two pawns immediately I ended up losing the game but this wasn't really the opening fault maybe a little bit but not entirely meta AI gets a 7 out of 11 also if you want to get one of these AI Chestnut boards
