in this video I'm going to show you how you can display a brand or company's ads on Google search like this now if you're someone who searches a lot on Google you might have noticed these Links at the top have the sign call sponsored now these are ads which are run by these website owners for a particular keyword that was searched by the user and guess what anyone can run a Google ad displaying or running ads like this will help you get visibility from potential customers exactly when they search for a certain keyword which indicates that they are in need of your product service that you offer by running ads like this you can get more visits to your website and it also results in getting more leads and customers for your business so today I'll walk you through the entire process of running ads on Google this will be a very simple step-by-step guide we'll cover everything that you need to know right from how Google ads work how to create your ad select the best Search keywords and more this will help you create a very successful and a profitable ad and not just that once we set up the ad I'll also show you how to track the performance of your ad like how many clicks and purchases you get all right I'm brand from website Learners and let's get started before we dive into the process let me tell you how Google apps work Google organizes all the information that is there on the internet and when someone searches for something Google will show you the most relevant information to them for example if you search for cake shops in Paris Google will display all the websites that are most relevant to what you're exactly searching for now now with Google ads you can display your site at the top before the organic results show up all these four sites right here are all ads run by website owners and you can see it says sponsor now if you scroll down you can see all the sites that don't have the sponsored sign which means they appeared organically on the search results all right so that's how Google ads work let's move on to ad campaign in this video I'll be setting up an ad campaign for my online store to follow along you will need your own online store if you don't have one yet don't worry you can watch this video to learn how to create one so now let's start creating our ad to create our ad we are going to do six steps now the first step is to create an account on Google ads so to do that just search for Google ads and click on the first link just sign in and then sign in with Google as you can see it says we don't have an account on Google ads so to create one just click new Google ads account and you will get this popup to create your first ad campaign we'll see this process in detail later in this video so for now let's skip this now click create an account without a campaign you need to enter these details and click continue next we need to add a payment info so just click here and here select whether you're an individual or an organization I'm going to leave it as organization then enter these details about your business and click create now here you can select the payment method that you want to add I'm going to choose credit card then enter my card details and click save now here you need to add some money to your account this money will be kept in your account and you can use it later to run your ads so just click here and enter the amount you want you need to add a minimum of 500 rupees or $10 to run your ad so I'll just do that click continue now let's agree to the terms and then click submit once you're done click continue and as you can see we're taken to our Google ads account and here you can see the amount we added all right so now we sucessfully created our account on Google ads so next let's go to step two which is to create a new campaign to create a new campaign let's go back and click new campaign now Google asked us to choose an objective for our campaign you can take a look at this list and pick what you're trying to achieve with your campaign so say your goal is to get more traffic to your website if you select website traffic Google will then suggest you the type of campaigns that you can run to get more traffic to your site so for example you can either run a display ad like this or a search ad like this to get more traffic similarly based on what objective you have Google suggest the campaigns that you can run for most businesses we recommend that you can either go with sales or leads as the objective in this video I'm going to set up an ad campaign for my course website to try and get more sales so I'm going to select sales all right now you can see all the campaign types that you can run to get sales let's look at them one by one first is search ads these are the ads that we saw before which gets displayed in the search results next we have performance Max this campaign lets you run ads at different places at the same time like on the website YouTube search results Etc next is display ads these are the ads which show up in different websites on the internet like this with shopping you can display your products as ads like this when people are looking for similar products next we have video this lets you run ads on YouTube videos like this and then we have demand gen these are the ads that you can run on social media platforms like YouTube Gmail discover Etc you can choose the type of campaign that you want and if you're running Google ads for the very first time we recommend that you start with search ads which is the most beginner friendly and it gives you good results so let's select search search ads and here select the results that you want to get whether you want people to visit your website call your phone or visit your store as we are setting up search ad we want people to visit our website so just select website visits and enter your website's URL here next select what kind of sales you are expecting whether you want people to purchase your products or get a subscription for your services I want people to buy my products so I'm going to select purchase now here give a name for your campaign then scroll down and click agree and continue next here you need to choose what we want to focus on whether it's clicks that we want on our site or Impressions or conversions now I recommend that you go with either conversion or conversion value so let me quickly explain the difference between these two if you pick conversion value Google will try to get you conversions that have the highest value so for example let's say you have an e-commerce business and some people make purchases worth $80 while some people make purchases worth $20 but choosing conversion value Google is going to try and get you more of those $80 conversions as they are more valuable to your business and conversions is just going to treat every single one of those purchases purches as the same and therefore it will just prioritize more number of conversions without considering the value of each conversion by default we have conversion selected which is absolutely fine to start with or you can choose conversion value depending on your business so I'm going to keep conversion selected and click next all right now as you can see we reached the campaign settings page this means that we have created a new campaign and we can go to The Next Step which is to set up the ad campaign first we need to select the networks this is basically where we want our ad to be display and as you can see both the search and display networks are selected now with the search Network our ad will be shown on the search results and Display Network would show our ad on different places on the internet like these we only need search ads so let's uncheck the Display Network now you may choose to keep the Display Network too but remember this will cost you more money and it'll drain your ad budget faster okay next under location you need to select where your target audience or customers are located for example if your target audience is in Chennai you can set the location such that people in Chennai can search for keywords related to your business and your ad will be shown to them okay as you can see by default all countries are selected and you can narrow it down to only the locations you want and click Advan search now just type the locations you want and it will be highlighted on the map you can enter as many locations as you want once you're done click save now there's one more thing that we need to do just go to location options and here you can see two options if you select pres your ad will be shown only to the people who are currently staying in the location which you selected whereas with presence and interest not only the people who are staying in the location but also people who show interest in the location will also receive your ad you can select any option you want I'm going to leave it like this then scroll down and click next all right so now that we set up our campaign next let's go to the fourth step which is to select the keywords for which you want your ad to be shown now as you already know we want a display ad to people who search for certain keywords on Google so so we need to decide for what keywords that we want our ad to be shown now this is a very important process if we select the wrong keywords our ad will not reach the right people which means we won't get many conversions so how do we find the right keywords that will give us the best results now if you scroll down you can see that Google has already suggested keywords that we can Target now these are the keywords that Google thinks will be suitable for our business but we don't really know if if these keywords will give us the best possible results well don't worry Google has another platform called Keyword Planner this platform will help us find the right keywords so just go to Google and search for Keyword Planner now click on the first link and click visit Keyword Planner now to find the keywords click discover new keywords now here we need to enter some keywords related to our business as you already have some keywords that Google gave us let's copy that and paste them here and then we need to enter the URL for our website and click results now as you can see Google has suggested many suitable keywords for our ad and we also have details like monthly searches competition and budget range this this is the cost that will be charged per click for a person who searches for that keyword while using your keywords make sure you select the ones that are likely to turn into a purchase have good monthly searches and the price should be within our budget it is important to remember that your keywords should be relevant to the products or the services that you are offering and they should match the intent of what your potential customers are looking for okay now I'm going to select the keywords for the selecting action and once you're done click copy now let's go back and replace these keywords with the ones we selected all right so now we sucessfully selected our keywords and next let's go to the fifth step which is to create the content for our ad so to do that let's scroll down and here you can see a section where you can add the content for your ad and here we have a preview of how ad will look like so we have a headline and a description now just like keywords Google has also suggested some headlines for us but even here we need to be very careful because the headlines will decide whether our customers will click on our ad or not so how do you write the best headline well there are two ways that you can do this first you can write it manually keeping in mind some of the most important factors like including the target keyword in the headline or mentioning the pain point point of your customers and this will take some time to do to make the process more easy we have an AI tool called gravity r that creates effective ad copies that will appeal to your target audience and you get more clicks so to use this AI tool just click the link in the description and it'll take you to gravy.com now it'll ask you some questions first you need to enter the keyword for which you want to show the ad then mention your target audience and the goal for your ad now click create content and as you can see we've got multiple headlines and descriptions for our ad we can go ahead and use these just copy the headlines one by one and paste it here and you can add more headings by clicking here once you're done just scroll down and here you can add the descriptions so let's paste them one by one and once you're done just click next all right so now we sucessfully created the content for our ad so next let's go to the final step which is to set up the budget you can see by default this option is selected to enter your own budget just go to set custom budget and here you need to enter the daily budget you want to set for your ad I'm going to enter 500 rupees and as you can see with this budget we can get about 25 conversions per week and this is how much it will cost you per week to run the ad once you've set your budget just click next then scroll down and click publish campaign once you do that here you can check the status of your ad So currently our ad is under review and Google will take up to 2 days days to review the ad and then approve it once it's done your ad will start appearing for your customers all right now let's say your ad is published how will you know if people are clicking on your ad and are you getting any sales from the ad well once your ad is approved by Google if you go to campaigns here you can see the number of clicks purchases average conversions per click and total cost but as you can see this graph is completely empty this is because we've not set up Google ads to track conversion details from our ad so next let's go to second part of the video where we'll see how you can start tracking the conversions on your website to start tracking the conversions we are going to do six steps and the first step is to create a conversion action a conversion action will let you see what action your customers are going to take after they see your ad so to create it go to goals click summary and click new conversion action now select where you want to track conversions since we want to track the conversions on our website let's select that then enter the URL of your site and click scan now scroll down and click add a conversion action manually here select the goal for the conversion tracking and if you remember we set up our ad to get more purchases and since we want to track the purchases happening on our site I'm going to select that and you may select any goal based on what your objective is once you've done that click here and we have two options if your primary goal is to track the sales on your site you can choose this or if you want to track other actions like if people are subscribing to your newsletter or filling your contact form you can choose this option I'm going to select this one and here let's enter a name for the conversion action it should be something that lets you easily identify the type of conversion that has happened so I'm going to enter it as sales now here you need to select any of these options based on what details you want to track if all you want to track as form submissions like if people submit their contact forms subscribe to emails Etc you you can choose this or if you also want to track purchases and the sales happening on your site you can choose this once you're done just click here and click save and continue all right so now we successfully created a conversion action now here you can see that we have different options to start conversion tracking in this video we're going to use Google tag manager Google tag manager will will help us track each activity on our website and it will show the results on our Google ads account so next let's go to the Second Step which is to create an account on Google tag manager to do that let's open a new tab and search for Google tag manager and click on the first link now click create account here enter the name for your business select your country scroll down enter your website URL then click on web and click create now check this box and click yes and you will get this window so now we created an account on Google tag manager and next let's go to the third step which is to connect this account with our website so to do that all you need to do is just paste these codes on our website to paste the codes first log into your s's WordPress dashboard now to paste the code we need to install the plugin so just go to plugins click add new search for a plugin called header footer code manager and you will get this plugin click install now and click activate here you can see our plugin has been added so let's go here and click add new now we are going to add these two codes so let's give a name for the first code then go to locations and select header now copy this code and paste it here scroll down and click save next let's add the second code click add new snippet give a name for the code and make sure the location is set to the header then copy this code paste it here then scroll down and click save Let's test it and see if it works let's enter our sites URL here and click test as you can see our site is successfully connected to our account this means Google tag will now be able to track the sales or conversion activities on your website and once you've done that let's go to the next step which is to link Google tag manager with the conversion action we created in Google ads and once you do that whenever someone makes a purchase on your site Google tag will receive the data and report it on your Google ads account so to add the conversion tag click add new tag and I'm going to name it conversion then click here now here choose the conversion Linker to track your activities across all the pages on your site enable this option then click here select all pages now whatever activity happens on any pages on your site it will be measured by the Google tag so let's click save click submit enter any name here and click publish and there you go we've successfully added the conversion tag once you've done that let's close this and you can see our conversion is live which means it can now track the conversion on our site all right next let's go to the fifth step of tracking the conversions which is to connect our website with Google ads and once we connect our website we'll start receiving information on this tracking page so to connect our site let's go to our WordPress dashboard now we need to install a plugin so go to plugins and click add new Now search for Pixel manager and you'll get this plugin click install and activate it now to connect our site go to marketing and it'll ask for these details so to get the details let's go back to our Google ads page now go to Google tag manager and as you can see we have got the details here so let's copy the conversion ID and paste it here then copy this and paste it here we can leave this field as blank then click save changes and click done okay so now we successfully Creed our website next if you see here you can see that the conversion action we created is still inactive and if we go here it says we need to verify and activate the conversion tracking so let's go to the final step which is to verify if the conversion tracking is working to do that just click troubleshoot click continue then enter the URL of your site and click connect now we need to make a test purchase on our site and see if Google ads can track it and as you can see our site has been opened automatically so let's do a test purchase I'm going to open this click view plan choose a plan fill in the details enter my card details and click buy now as you can see we have successfully made the purchase once the order is placed you can see that we've got a notification which shows our conversion action has fired now if we click finish you can see we have the details of the purchase so this means the conversion tracking is working so let's go back to Google ads and if we click refresh you can see that the conversion is active now so now we have successfully verified that our conversion action is working next let's go to campaigns and as you can see our ad is under review now and it will take around 1 to 2 days for Google to approve the ad so after while if we come back and we can now see the details like number of clicks Impressions average conversions and costs now when more conversions happen you can check the details we going to goals and clicking summary and here you'll find the conversion details all right now as you know we have only added 500 Rupees to our account so when that is over our ad will stop showing and if you want to add more money you can you can go to building click here to add more funds okay so that's it guys this is how you
