How To Unlock Tainted Characters - The Binding of Isaac: Repentance

what's up guys it's preets coming back to you with a brand new binding of isaac video in this video i'm going to tell you how to unlock the tainted characters in binding of isaac repents before i explain how to get the tainted characters there is an achievement you have to get before you can do any of this and that achievement is a strange door in order to get the achievement of strange door you have to beat mother with any character and once you beat her you'll have this achievement now you're gonna head into the game with the character that you want the tainted version of as you're heading down to depths 2 you can take either the regular path or the alternate path but what is important is on the way down you leave a trinket in one of the boss rooms or item rooms now make sure it's a trigger you don't want it can be anything just leave it there and when you come back later it'll be a different item at the end of caves 2 it is very important that you do not take the door to mausoleum and go down to depths 2. at the top of the room you start in depths 2 you will see the strange door now the next step what you have to do is you have to find a school that has a small cross mark on it once you find the skull you need to blow it up and it will have a fool's card because once you get into the mom's fight you cannot get out of it the reason we are fighting mom here is because in order to open the strange door you have to have either the polaroid or the negative it is important to note that the faded polaroid trinket also works to open this door some items that do not work to open the store that you might think would are dad's key and the get out of jail free card the only way to open this door is with some sort of polaroid item you are now taken to the alternate version of mausoleum which is gahanna in this floor there is an item room so make sure you go get that because where you're about to go can be a little difficult to get to you're gonna make your way through this floor until you get to the boss room now there is no boss but there is an item called dad's note once you pick this item up you'll be teleported to the reverse world which is the mausoleum and you're gonna make your way back up through the floors that you have just fought through on your way back up you'll run to a lot of variants of enemies that are the mega variants of these enemies that are a lot harder so be careful when you run into these as you're headed back up you have to remember to go back to where you dropped that trinket and find the item cracked key once you make it to the end of basement one you'll go up to home now you need to make your way over to mom's room in the hallway outside of mom's room you'll find a glowing outline of a doorway use the crack key on this and you will unlock the tainted character by going in the room and touching the new character you can also use the active item red key to unlock this doorway outside of mom's room in order to get the red key you have to have made it to home and open mom's chest for the first time that is all you have to do to unlock tainted characters in the binding of isaac and it's the same for every single character so i hope this was helpful and i hope you guys enjoyed and for now it's been preets peace out bye
