How To Unlock PICKPOCKETING EARLY In Star Ocean The Second Story R

how's it going guys and welcome back in this video we're going to be checking out how we can unlock the pickpocket speciality very early on in the Star Ocean 2 remake the first thing we're going to need is the Nimble fingers Talent any of your characters do have a random chance of starting the game with the Nimble fingers technique to check if they have it as soon as you gain control of your character in the town at the start of the game you can go into your status menu and press the square button and here you can see on the right hand side whether your character has Nimble fingers or not now other are ways to unlock the Nimble fingers Talent later on in the game game if you do want to un loock the pickpocket ability really early we're talking as soon as you leave Cross City for the first time which is right at the start of the game I would recommend restarting a new save file over and over again until you see that the main character has the Nimble fingers talent for the next step you need to advance through the game until you unlock the improve menu which is incredibly early on as soon as you meet your third party member for the first time so go into improve then click on the top where it says IC and Specialty skills and here you want to put at least one level into courage and one into poke face so once we have one point in Courage one point in poker face and the Nimble fingers Talent the third and final thing we need is the thieves glove now this is a key item that's actually sold from the shop in Harley which is all the way over here to the east you can just walk over here as soon as you leave Cross City and if you go inside the General's Goods shop they're going to sell the thieves glob for whopping 40,000 now this may seem like a lot especially for early game but there actually an incredibly easy way to get a bunch of money really quickly so the first thing we're going to do is go back into the Improvement menu and go onto determination which should be the one all the way at the top and level this one up as much as you can you should be able to get to level 10 as it's quite cheap this will make it so all of the other upgrades cost way less SP so once this is on level 10 you want to go down and find the upgrade called Purity now what Purity does is every time you level it up you just get a bunch of money in a lump sum as you can see the first time we only get 100 but then we level up again we get 700 then if we level up one more time we get 1,900 then for level four we get 3,7 700 then 6,100 and this just keeps on going on and on and on if you take it all the way to level 10 you will get 100,000 which is way more than you actually need and it will cost you a total of 361 SP if you have determination on level 10 and this for whatever reason you need even more money great surprise you can actually do this individually with each of your characters so you potentially can get 300,000 cash like very early game the most efficient way of doing this would be upgrade Purity to level four or five with each of the characters to sort of distribute the SP cost actually don't really need the 100K or the later levels for anything right now um but yeah once you have this money go back to the shop in Harley and you can buy the thieves glove for 40,000 once you meet all of these requirements all you need to do is go into your Specialties menu and click on pickpocket and turn it on once this is on you can go up to literally any NPC in the entire game and then press the L1 button to attempt a pickpocket you'll get three chances at pickpocket in most NPCs and if you fail you're no longer be able to do it so make sure you save game before doing this on any important NPCs it's also worth pointing out that by pick pocket in it will affect your friendship levels with any of your current teammates so definitely be careful with that and with that said I hope you did find this video helpful if you did don't forget that Thumbs Up Button subscribe for more content com very soon and we'll see you next time
