How to UNLOCK 60 Hertz on Quest 2 and 3

hi monkeys I'm pipity are you absolutely terrible War running in gorilla T well I'm here to teach you how to get 60 HZ so you can zoom up the walls just like how all the profession and then do here's me attempting to go up the ball 120 HZ but absolutely failing and I just keep falling over and over again it's boring man so this why switch to 60 look at me go all the way up the wall go so far up that's how much 60 helps it is good for walls like going up the walls but it is not very good for branching but it is good for running around on the ground very speedily so I'm going to show you how to do this and you're either going to need a Macbook an Android phone or a PC here we go first of all you need to turn on developer mode it's not a simple click and go you need to do two things create an organization and verify your phone number if you don't have a phone number I'm sure your parents do complete two-step authentication first I've already done this step so once you've done this then you set up your phone number go to the first link in the description and log into your met account this is the verifying phone number in part once You' put in your phone number it will send a message to that phone it's a verification code type it in after setting up phone number you can then go back and this will take you back to the first page that I was talking about click on back to home and this is where it will make you create your organization once you've done this you can then enable developer mode which I'll show you how to do after creating your organization now you're on the main page create a name for your organization doesn't have to be anything special like mine for example now have created your amazing lovely spectacular lovely amazing name lovely now click I understand and then click submit once submitted click I agree and then click submit again then go to your mobile metap and go down to the menu in the bottom right you'll then need to click on devices scroll down to developer mode and click it and once you're in there you can enable developer mode voila you've done it now you can plug your headset into your PC using USB a Toc cable or a USB C Toc cable a prompt in the headset will pop up once you've plugged it in go into the headset and click on the notification and click on always allow this PC once done open side quest this is a third party app store for meta Quest headset it allows users to discover and install games and things alike that are not available in the official meta store you can use side quest on your Android phone or PC and it cannot be used on iPhone to download side quest on PC go to this link which is a second link in the description and download the advanced installer once you've downloaded it and launched it you may need to look back in your headset for another prompt and allow it again now if you're on Quest 2 go up to this wrench icon inside Quest and then scroll down to the refresh rate now you can simply click on 60 HZ if you're on phone click on the three dots in the bottom right and then click on tools then scroll down to screen refresh rates and click on 60 HZ from there you can unplug your phone or headset and have fun playing Gill teag if you want to keep 60 HZ and not have to plug it in and enable it every time I recommend putting the headset into sleep mode that way you can just put on the headset and go while it's still on 60 HZ next time you come to play on it if you're on question Quest free you'll have to do some secret hacky stuff because the quest free is built to not actually support 60 HZ which is a bit annoying but I figured out how to do it it's not the perfect solution but it works to get 60 HZ on Quest free you'll have to do one of two things both work the same you can open side quest and go to the ADB Commands area then paste this command I'll leave it in the description all you can do for my preferred way which is downloading something called meta developer Hub once you've done that all you need to do from there is click on create command and then paste the same thing into the big fat box here after making your name and then once you've done that you can click save then every time you want to use 60 HZ on your quest fre all you need to do is plug your headset into your PC open meta Quest developer Hub and click run that's it then you're good to go it will look dodgy when you're playing because it sets a headset to 120 HZ and then halfs it so you're playing on 60 FPS so you will see screen tearing but it's easy to get used to also screen sharing won't come up in recording anyways that's it I hope you enjoyed this video and I hope it helped and have fun playing Gill tag on your lovely amazing new refresh rate you're good you're good you're good [Music] okay what the hell oh my gosh real why you [Music] still you know what running within 20 minutes of [Music] [Applause] my
