How to bypass 'Stuck on 90hz' Problem! | Gorilla tag

in gorer tag there's a new problem so everyone on Quest is basically stuck at 90 HZ at the minute 90 90 FPS and most people like to play on 60 72 is some people play on 90 anyway so they won't see much of a difference so if you want to still be able to play on your desired Herz then you're going to have to follow this video but I have a problem so I'm going to be showing you every single way that to change your Herz to see if it works and then I'm going to show you the ways that you can't do and the ways that you can do but first I would like to explain to you a little problem so on my headset I go onto a different account other than my main account to record footage in gorilla tags so that that stays away from my main account on gorilla tag and on that other account I'm not able to grab the videos that I've recorded on that account within the headset and put them onto my computer and also for some reason I cannot access the files on my headset at all on my computer anyway so I've got a double up problem and I just want to make a quick video showing you what's what really so I'm going to quickly summarize the the Quest problem so on Quest I tried using 72 HZ by changing it on side quest and then I went in game and it didn't help at all I was still on 90 HZ it still felt like 90 HZ although the headset was on 72 HZ so that was quite weird but that just proves that you're stuck on 90 for side quest and then I used my old 60 HZ trick for Quest fre on meta Quest developer Hub to make the headset go to 60 and that didn't work either I still went in game headset was basically on 60 and I was on 90 in game doesn't make sense but that's how it is so Quest players you're stuck but now I'm going to show you all of the footage that I got for playing on PC and what you can and can't do on PC to change your refresh rate right so first off I go on side quest and then I tweak my Herz to 72 and then I jump on gorilla tag using Quest link and guess what I'm not stuck at 90 it's like magic but better so basically what I'm saying is if you change your Herz to 72 first using side quest and then go on your headset and go to Quest link and then fire up GR tag you can use your 72 HZ on gorilla tag so if you go on to Nvidia control panel and then you go to manage 3D settings and you'll have to go to program settings click on ADD look for the gorilla tag profile picture then click on gorilla tag then scroll down you'll see Max refresh rate and then you can change it to whatever you want so I've just set it to 66 so now we're going to go in game and check see if it works so here we are again as you can see it's working well so basically just using the video GeForce to change your HZ as well works perfect so that's another so next I'm going to do virtual desktop and show you 121st on Virtual desktop and then I'm going to go to 72 HZ on Virtual desktop and show you that so here we go okay so now I'm on 120 on Virtual desktop and this it really is just normal 120 business so now I'm going to go on 72 HZ here we guys just it's normal 72 going to go in game quickly show you that I can War run as you can see I can War run perfectly well and fine so it's all good so yeah it's it works and I'm not stuck so that's it so now I'm going to go show you steam link which is my favorite right so now this is steam link and this is 120 on Steam link and if I go into a Lobby quickly just do a wall run or something it's hard right so if I then really quickly show my view looking at this right this is my steam View and if I go to and if I go to gorilla tag I can select what hurts someone so I can go to 72 now and now I'm on 72 so see and it works well and fine steam link is what I always use nowadays because it's absolutely amazing I love steamlink okay guys so I hope you enjoyed this video and I hope it helped you as much as it helped me because I've done all the figuring out for you so you understand so to summarize you can change any sort of Hertz as long as you're connected to a PC and it will work perfectly well and fine but if you're on Quest well too bad you're stuck on 0 until gorill tag Developers fix it so unfortunately UK players are stuck for a bit but people that have access to a PC play on that PC unless it's really bad don't play on it but yeah if if you have access to a PC play on the PC and go on your desired htz it might it might feel a bit different because you're not used to using like steam or Quest link or virtual desktop but whatever it works for now so see you later goodbye
