How to Troll/ Drag for Catfish

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh good morning guys you know edge Dark Dragon here I want to show you all how I troll for catfish get on the lines ready yep everything baited up I got lay a perch here on this rod hurts head bigger perch head rim head lay a broom and another piece of the filleted perks get a little variety out there see what see what they'll hit I'm go ahead and toss all these out or the back to out let them go out finally a hundred feet behind the boat and then the next to them will put planer boards on so I'll show you how hook them up when I get to that point stretch it out these wait till it hit the bottom all right he's hit bottle spools still up these boards here either called captain max that's why I gotta throw a little pigtail here you put on your line wrap it around and then this clip here goes toward the rod to you that holds it on let it go I'll do the same thing on the other side them both about the same distance that way they're spread out is the same on both sides of the boat these next two rides I'll put them out they probably won't leave it about 50 feet behind the boat that's why I do my setup right now I've got six rods six in the water the guys another thing when I'm dragging control them for catfish I always call it dragon - dragon baits is what I called it but I've got them in Kota power drive trouble motor on here I try to drag between three to five miles an hour preferably right in there point four be great then when kind of fix that especially when you got a little strong breeze going but the nice thing about the trolling motor I'll put it over remote right up here to you you can see that little button right there says that's navigate you push that you set that trolling motor turn the head the direction you want to go on it which way you want it to go and then you hit that Ian button and most of times it'll take you straight in that direction every now and then something throws it off I don't know if it's satellites or what but it sure makes your life a lot easier out here instead of trying to control the back and forth especially when the winds knocking you back and forth just some other ideas look here he shows these new waters got one hung up he's fixing to get rid something here just hit it like he was a beast how he is Natalie kind of coming through the pretty easy fifteen pounds first one this morning number two eighteen point one eight good fish I said I come down fishing the fishing waters I've never fished before I've been down this way before looked around I may have a feast one with Matthew once or twice last year but never come on check it out them all just trying something different deeper water to no fish no years paid off with a couple so far it's kind of slow but all right guys I just put another one in the boat it's a good finish 23.6 I didn't get in a fight because he was he hit it going trying to cross every line so I had to catch up with him the guy in here I'll show them to you thank you sir put him back then grow up some more all right he's number four tangled up in the mess I'll be a while getting that mess out too for another day I don't take all right Fisher just missed one man ago hit it hard took off a lot of drag this one hit on the other side of the boat first bike was on the brim here this is all the church Felice all right there we go back to our polls most likely yeah little hit on that real and that's a I think I'm on with the top it's a pollute I know I think had a big tail on it might be a real speech that's a good finish and they come back to you all right the shows [Music] all right Tyler so probably nice fish and we'll get a good day today that's that piece of perch let's perch in a little bit of body on pretty good size bait all right guys appreciate you watching and we're gonna call it today picked up seven I think so I'm satisfied with that a couple into 20s mid-20s some nice teeners I hope I showed you something on about the Dragon and using the planer boards if you got any questions put those in the comments for me now answer I'm the best I can please subscribe and I thank you much for watching God bless you all have a great day [Music] [Music] you
