How to Trim the Nails of a "Difficult" Cat (Kitty Burrito Method)

TARDIS he's our hospital cat here at Gahanna Animal Hospital and due to popular demand some people would like to know how to burrito a cat to do it so nail trims sometimes when you have an angry cats or one that's not quite so pleasant as Henry was so you're gonna want to give a nice thick bath towel or you can use thick blankets spread it out on the table set your cat down get him towards the edge right there you're gonna sort of tuck this part of the blanket over his feet you can take one end and wrap it very firmly around his body tuck it in there a little bit and take the other end you're gonna wrap that around firmly around his body again and up underneath once again you'll press it gently and you'll take just right at the hook and right before the pink and you can clip the nails I'm sorry buddy now sometimes with these guys that aren't quite so happy to have their nails trimmed you might have to take a break like maybe do one Paul and then give him a break or if you can get both fronts done and then do take a break that will work as well he got really angry when we were doing his front walls to give him a break so we're gonna try and do his back legs now you set him down once again on the blanket tuck his five feet end wrap one side around him and tuck him in the other side around like we did before I know Mr Man and so with the back legs you can do these by yourself it's always easier if you have something to help but you can pull the back leg out I know and just sort of clip and the faster you go the better because by this point they have are getting with their QT minutes it's also easy to move them around we'll get the other leg I know mr. man we're almost done you clip and there he is he's all done he's not happy but he's done so you at this point you can unwrap your cat's maybe give them a little treat to make them feel good about what just happened to them TARDIS loves his temptation traits and that is how you breed a attack and use your nail gun so you sell two ways and how to trim and cat's toenails one just doing it simply on the table and another way by burrito in them with a towel and using pulling one paw out of the time technique if you're still having a really hard time and you just can't get it done you can always bring your cat here to Afghan Animal Hospital we're always happy to help you [Music] you [Music]
