how to transfer Microsoft authenticator to new phone good day folks and welcome to the channel this is what the Microsoft authenticator app looks like and if you're using it on one device and you would like to transfer it to another device I'm going to show you now how you can do that and the reason I'm recording my phone instead of screen recording on my phone is because this is a security app and part of the reason of keeping your data safe is not allowing screenshots or any screen recording so we're going to go now from here once you've logged in up to the top of the screen on the right hand side we're going to tap on the three dots now you can see there are a couple options here and you'll see settings you're going to tap on settings and right over here you can see third from the top there is a cloud backup and you're going to tap on that you're going to make sure that the button on the right hand side is toggled on and it is blue and this will only take a few seconds and your cloud backup will now be backed up that means that all of your settings right over here for this account is actually going to be saved on a Cloud Server now over here you will see that this is still my device but I've logged out and I'm going to assume that this is what your new device looks like so when you're logging in or opening up your Microsoft authenticator app this is what you will be faced with now instead of tapping on add account you're going to go to the bottom and right over here it says begin recovery now once you tap on begin recovery it's going to recover the backup that you backed up on your previous device and by doing this you're going to sign in here and you're going to tap on next put in your password and all of your data and your saved passwords and your autofill will now be saved on your new device and that's how you can actually transfer your Microsoft authenticator app from one device to another if you'd like to know how to use Microsoft authenticator app on more than one device click here
